Mixed Blood

Lein wore a black robe and mask to cover up her identity if the enemy could figure out Lein's whereabouts.

"Well..." Lein breathed a long breath.

"I shouldn't be too destructive to this place, so will I use a little force." Lein crouched down and put her one hand on the ground.

"Dragon Dance: Ground Vibration." Lein

The ground beneath the bar building trembled as if an earthquake was about to occur. The people inside immediately came out and looked around.

They feel something is wrong, because only their place is shaking, other places are not.

"Damn it, when I'm busy modifying my experiment." The fennel coming out of the bar immediately swore.

On the other hand, Lein immediately used magic to exchange places between people tied up with a tree.

Lein had already put the coordinates before him, so he could swap places out of his eye's reach.

"Don't make a sound." Lein carried the person and used magic to escape.

"Dragon Dance: floating." Lein and that person were floating in the air.

"Dragon Dance: Fire Power." Lein pointed her hand back.

Then there was a fire that gushed from Lein's hand, it made Lein and the man speed through the air.

"!!" Lein sensed the danger that was coming quickly.

Lein pushed the man away and he fell to the ground while rolling around.

"Ughh! Oye! Don't look back!" Lein put magic on the man to keep flying towards Ariel Church.

"Ho? Can you avoid the attack?" A cold voice sounded.

"Sad." Lein immediately stood up and looked at the person in front of him.

"Huh?" Lein's mind went blank as he looked at the person in front of him.

The person in front of him was a handsome adult man with a cold face. That person was wearing formal all-black clothes just like when people were on a pilgrimage.

From head to toe, everything is black, except for the white gloves.

"Say, why are you attacking us?" The man asked Lein.

Lein became conscious and yet he did not answer the man's question.

"Say!" The man screamed.

"I saved the man you're holding hostage!" Lein told half the truth.

"Ho.so that's. I'll spare your life." The man pulled out his sword.

Then he slashed at the air in front of him casually, yet...

Lein's right hand was cut off!

"Ughhh!" Lein gripped her right arm with her left hand and tried not to scream.

"Why should my right hand again!" Thought Lein.

"Thank you to me because I didn't kill you." Said the man

The man then sheathed his sword and went away just like that.

"Dragon Dance: Floating."

"Dragon Dance: Fire Power."

Lein used the same hovering and fire magic as before to head to Ariel Church.

...----------------...

"Ughhh!" Lein arrived at the Church of Ariel.

"Mr Lein!?" A Priestess sees Lein and is shocked by Lein's condition.

Octiorb and Isolda who heard the screams immediately rushed towards Lein, but they were shocked.

"Lein!? Why your hands!?" Octiorb yells.

"Silence everyone." Lein told them all to calm down.

The priestess then uses healing magic to stop the bleeding in Lein's arm.

"Thank you Priestess." Lein thanked me.

"Together sir." Priestess nodded.

"Hey, let's talk in the room." Lein told Octiorb and Isolda.

"We'll excuse Priestess, please don't tell the pope my condition so as not to cause a stir." Lein asked for help.

"Okay sir, I understand what you're saying." Priestess nodded.

Then Lein, Octiorb, and Isolda walked towards the room Lein had previously occupied.

...----------------...

"Why?" Isolda asked.

"There's a strong man who's after me, I don't want it when we meet he sees my arms have grown." Lein explained.

"Cure my arm when we return to Dragon Tide City." Added Lein.

"Alright, I'll obey your word Lein." Isolda nodded.

"Oct, where's the guy I survived, right?" Lein asked.

"Priest took her to the next room." Octiorb.

"All right, let's see it." They then went to the next room.

...----------------...

"I know you can talk, introduce yourself." Lein looked at the man.

The person that Lein saved looked like a human but was also not a human.

Because he has muscles and body size that exceeds humans like a giant race, but he cannot be called a giant by his body size.

"...." - ".That guy won't talk.

"Analysis." Lein sat down and analyzed.

"Jonas Virion." Lein mentioned Jonas' full name.

"How do you know!" Jonas was alert

"It doesn't matter how I know, now I have an interesting offer for you." Lein looked into Jonas's eyes.

"Offer!? I'll hear." Jonas did not feel any hostility from Lein, therefore he would listen to Lein's offer.

"You... Mixed-blooded, right?" Lein said in a calm tone.

"... Continue." Jonas narrowed his eyes.

"You are not accepted in the territory of the Giant race, and you are considered strange in the territory of humans." Lein leaned back and closed her eyes for a moment.

"My offer is..." Lein opened her eyes.

"Just work for me." Lein extended her left hand towards Jonas

"What do you mean by work?" Jonas did not immediately accept Lein's offer.

"Hm, I want you to be my shield." Lein explained.

"Shields? I'm weak." Jonas shook his head.

"I know, and I can make you strong, how?" Lein offered again.

"..." - ".Jonas did not answer.

"Don't you feel it? Excommunicated by a race of giants, looked upon strangely by the human race, and ended up being the subject of experimentation." Lein reminds Jonas of life.

"If I accept your offer, won't you also be seen as weird?" Jonas asked.

"Haha." Lein laughed loudly.

"Why!? What's so funny!?" Jonas yelling.

"I've felt something more painful than people's strange views." Lein said with a gloomy face.

"!!" Jonas was surprised by Lein's face.

"So?" Lein smiled back.

"If your words are correct, then I will accept your offer." Jonas accepts Lein's offer.

"Good, we'll talk about it when the opportunity arises, I have something very urgent." Lein then returned to her room.

"Hopefully my decision this time is right." Jonas looked at Lein's back.

"I don't want to suffer anymore, I want to be strong." Jonas clenched both of his fists.

"If what the man promised is true, then I'm willing to swear allegiance to him." Jonas' eyes showed a strong determination.

...----------------...

"Look, tell me who the strong man you were talking about was." Octiorb said as they were in Lein's room.

"Tell me, Lein." Isolda also wanted to know.

"That guy is...." Lein sat down and closed her eyes.

"My dad..."
