Father's Status On My Son's Deed

Father's Status On My Son's Deed
14. Stay at the in-laws' house

“Tonight you will stay here, right? Naura will sleep here tonight. Mama is very worried that Naura is coming home while her mom and dad are out of town,” said Tia stroking Naura's arm.

Asha who heard that choked, quickly picked up the drink that was beside her and gulped it down. Seeing Aji then Naura, the woman seemed to smile at her husband.

“Ah, I'm fine at home alone, Auntie. There is an assistant at home. I also did not feel good with Aji and Asha,” said the woman refused.

“Ah, it's okay. They already have their own world. You will not be disturbed by your presence. Auntie still wants a lot of stories from you, Ra. How long have we not seen you?” tia said cheerfully. He did not realize with a disappointed look from the son-in-law.

“Em .. yes, okay. But we're not going to room, are we? I can be protested Om later,” said Naura as she covered her laughing mouth.

“No dong, you're in the upper room. In the usual place, Auntie has told aunt to settle the upper room,” said Tia. Asha chose to lower her head, she did not want Tia to see the disappointment in her heart. However, Aji glanced at Asha at a glance and then finished his meal.

“I can't, Ma. Sorry,” said Aji suddenly made everyone turn their heads.

“Loh, why?” ask Tia.

“Much work I have to do. We can't sleep here tonight. Next time,” said the man.

“Ngak. Not next time. You haven't been here since you were married, so you can't refuse. You guys should spend the night here. Asha also gets to know your best friend, Aji. Do you not feel sorry for Mama and Naura who took the time to come here? When else is he in the homeland?” Tia tries to persuade her son so hard that Aji and Asha cannot refuse the request of her parents.

The boring time for Asha right now was the time they sat with one family with Naura among them. Tia was endlessly talking asking him this and that. The two men were talking and drowning in their own world.

‘Beautiful once she,’ muttered Asha in her heart. There is one worry in his heart and mind now. Aji and Asha looked so close. Although they are friendly, but it feels uncomfortable with their closeness.

“Asha, you don't get jealous with Naura, she and Aji have been friends since childhood. They used to play together, sleep together, even take a bath together. Very funny they used to be,” said Tia. Asha smiled as she nodded her head.

“Iya, even we also dress like a bride first. I remember when Aji didn't want time to be the groom and I cried.” Naura laughed loudly, even with the same Tia reminiscing about her past.

“Iya. Finally Mama forced, so Aji just according to her even though her face was pouting, but when in the photo she was even in style!” Tia added.

“Ma. Do not have to talk about it first,” reprimand Aji shame.

“It's okay, Ji. Asha must know your closeness so that there is no slander or misunderstanding.”

Asha can't stand it, the heat of her chest. However, she tries to keep quiet until Aji takes her away from there. However, it seems that the man does not want to leave at all even if he only plays the phone in hand.

“It looks like Asha is already sleepy. If you want to go to the room first is okay,” said Naura.

Asha could breathe in relief as Aji got up from there. Unlike the man who left without saying goodbye, Asha said goodbye to her two in-laws. Aji's room is quite large, the white ash paint in the room makes it distinctive if it is a male room.

Asha was silent in front of the door, she was confused because the first time she slept in one room with Aji. What's he supposed to do? It's gonna be awkward. Suddenly, Aji takes a pillow and takes it to the long sofa in the room.

“Sleep, it's night,” Aji's word.

Asha flinched and raised her head.

“Eh, you are in bed, let me be in the chair,” Asha said as she approached, but Aji's wide steps made her first get there and immediately lay down.

Aji did not reply, she moved her body and faced towards the back of the chair and immediately closed her eyes.

Asha obeyed Aji's will, immediately lying his body comfortably on the mattress. From there Asha noticed Aji, her husband seemed uncomfortable sleeping there, moving like he was looking for a comfortable position.

“Mas, have you slept?” ask Asha.

“Hem!” Aji cleared his throat indicating that he has not slept.

“You can sleep here. Let me be there. I'm smaller and fit in there,” Asha said. However, Aji instead spoke bitterly towards him without turning his body at all.

“Sleep only. Don't argue too much! Do not forget, please turn off the lights,” said the man, then no more sounds were heard. Aji did not feel comfortable sleeping on the sofa, but it was impossible for her to let Asha sleep there. It's a sign of how uncomfortable it is for a pregnant woman to sleep in such a tight spot.

Asha got off the bed and turned off the headlights and turned on the small lamp beside her. He just kept quiet and stared at the dark ceiling of the room. The decorative lights that were there did not move at all, looking beautiful, but boring for her so Asha preferred to turn her gaze towards the window.

Outside, the shadow of the leaves seemed to be waving quietly, the sound of laughter was still heard from the lower floors even though the clock was showing almost midnight.

Aji moved again, folded his legs and hugged both hands as if he was cold. On it was an Ac that was lit.

“Befit Mas Aji not calm sleep,” murmured Asha.

“Mas, have you slept?” ask the woman slowly. If Aji hadn't slept he would have answered like that, right?

He walked with very slow steps towards where Aji was. He slightly bent his body so that he could see Aji's calm face. His eyes were closed with a slight murmur between his sleep.

Asha reached out her hand grabbing the remote that was on the table, the wind from the AC came out right above Aji. He quickly lowered the volume of the AC and took a blanket to cover Aji's body which might be cold. He then returned to the bed and could only look back at Aji who was soundly asleep.
