Father's Status On My Son's Deed

Father's Status On My Son's Deed
57. The arrival of Aji 2

By noon, Khairi had no sign of coming out of his room. Asha who was worried immediately woke up her son because the child had to go to school immediately. He does not want Khairi to ditch just for waiting for Aji's arrival.

"Darling, let's get up! Soon after school," call Asha by shaking Khairi's body. However, the boy still lingered in his blanket, not shifting his body at all.

"Darling, let's get up!" call Asha again. "Darling, come on dong! get up and go to school. Hadn't Khairi been a diligent child, why now so do not want to go to school? Is there something evil with you?"

The annoyed Khairi immediately woke up and looked at his mother. "Didn't I tell Mama what was the reason I didn't want to go to school?"

"But they are also your friends, it is appropriate that you forgive them. Isn't Mama's son a good boy? we should forgive each other."

Asha tried to give understanding to her son, but Khairi who was already hurt was even more annoyed at her mother. The boy looked sadly at Asha.

"Ma, if they only make a mistake once or twice, it's okay for me to forgive them, but they've done it too often. I don't know what else to do. I'm tired too, wanting to be like the other kids, having friends playing ball together, but they always think of me as their enemy."

Asha could see the sadness on her son's face. He felt guilty and unbearable, whether all this time he had been lacking attention to his son, so that the woman did not know anything about the son. This was also his fault for lacking attention to his son. Surely Khairi had been trying to hold it and the peak yesterday when there was Aji defending so, the boy felt there was attention.

Eventually the sound of cars stopped in front of their houses. Khairi who knew it was the car of the father immediately got out of bed and ran out. It turns out it was Aji.

"Father!" pekik Khairi who immediately ran into the arms of his father.

"Be careful, honey, don't run. What if it falls?" aji's reprimand made the boy grin to show a row of his teeth.

"Eh! Why not shower? Didn't you go to school?" ask Aji who just realized when he saw the appearance of his son. Though his intention was also to take the son to school.

Khairi just silently lowered his head, not daring to answer his papa question. Aji who saw the fear on the face of the son also tried to speak slowly. "Why doesn't Khairi want to go to school? Isn't Khairi a smart kid? Why are you so lazy to go to school?"

"I don't want to go to school there, Pa. I want to go to school somewhere else. I want his friend."

Aji was speechless, in fact he also had the same thoughts as the son. The man did not want his son to be a bullyan victim at his current school. There must have been too much sadness experienced by the child. However, Aji also cannot make his own decisions, it all depends on Asha because it is the woman who has raised Khairi.

Even though he is currently a father. However, he had no power over the child. He can only give love no more. Whether until when that can happen, the man wants to fully become the father of Khairi.

Not only the status above the deed, but also daily life and for his future. Whatever people say about him, he doesn't care. The important thing for him right now is to see the happiness on the face of his wife and child that is enough for Aji.

"Now we're in, yuk! We'll talk to Mama" Aji asked, who was taken by Khairi.

"Later Papa asked the same mom, yeah! So I can go to school somewhere else" Pinta Khairi.

"Yes." Yeah."

Meanwhile, Asha who was at the door heard the conversation between father and son. In his heart warmed, especially when he saw the face of his son who was so happy. I don't know when the last time he saw his son could be so genuinely happy.

"Assalamualaikum," said Aji disperse Asha's daydream.

"Wa–waalaikumsalam," replied Asha stuttering because she thought too much about her son, so she did not realize that Aji was already in front of her.

He cursed his folly because it was easy to get swept away in his daydream. Asha just walked into the house without saying anything. Aji who followed him from behind only gave a smile. From last night the man missed his son and his wife so much.

Now it was treated when he saw the faces of both. Somehow later if Asha completely rejected her presence, how to treat that longing. May God give him a way to melt his wife's heart.

Bik Ika who was sweeping was surprised to find Aji who came to his house. Yesterday they met. However, there has been no time to greet each other, until now it still feels stiff. The middle-aged woman had also once lied to her employer, further adding to her guilt.

"How are you, Bik?" aji's greeting started the conversation.

"I'm good, Den. Den Aji himself how is he?"

"Thank God, I'm good too. Mama Nisa had time to go to Aunt's old house, but did not meet," said Aji, making Bik Ika feel sad.

"Mrs Nisa and Mr. Roni how's it going, Den?"

"Alhamdulillah, fine. Although sometimes Mama Nisa also needs to go to the hospital to check her condition. Understand, Bik. When it's time to check, Mama Nisa always just reasoned not to go."

Asha who heard Aji say the names of her parents also became sad. All this time he did not know their situation, whether it was okay or not. Even from yesterday the man also did not tell him anything about Mama Nisa and Papa Roni, but Bik Ika actually said everything. Asha once again wanted to ask, but she felt prestige. Finally just listen to the talk of the two parents.

"Now the lady's situation is fine, isn't it, Den?" ask Bik Ika who looks so worried and also feels guilty.

"Everything is fine. Sometimes Mama Tia also accompany Mama Nisa to check that Papa Roni is out of town."

Bik Ika and Asha were shocked again. The relationship between the two women has improved as before. They used to be good friends, going everywhere always together, but since that incident Asha thought that their relationship was deteriorating, not even want to know each other. Who would have thought if he had heard the news from Aji by now. It was impossible for the man to lie about the circumstances of their parents.

"Papa, I'm hungry" said Khairi, bringing the parents' conversation to a halt.

Asha also realized if he had not fed the son because indeed, from earlier the child sulked and did not want to go to school. When going to take a bath, Aji instead came and made Asha activities void.

"You haven't had breakfast, honey?" asked Aji, Khairi nodded making the man look at Bik Ika and Asha alternately.

He was confused what to say because he did not know whether there was food at home or not. Until finally Asha also told Aji to directly bring Khairi to the dining room, so he could eat there.

"Have you had breakfast yet, Mom?" ask Asha without looking at the man because it just so happens that there is still a lot of food so, all of you offer to Aji. If even refusing was not a problem for Asha, she just wanted to do good.

"It just so happens that I haven't been in a hurry here, so I didn't have time for breakfast."

"Why hurry, Mom? You should be able to take care of your health."

Aji smiled hearing the attention given by Asha. Previously he thought that the woman would not care, but now instead received attention. Really makes him happy.

"I wanted to take you to school so, afraid of being late, just come here. Uh! It turns out that this child does not want to go to school" said Aji while rubbing his son's hair. "Regarding Khairi school, I also want to say something."

"Yes, Mas. Later after breakfast," replied Asha who then turned to look at the son. "Khairi, do you want a bribe?" bargain with the boy. However, get a sling from him.

"I can eat by myself, Ma. I'm already a big boy" replied the boy who had a smile from Aji. The man also rubbed his son's hair with anxiety.

Aji started enjoying his breakfast. In the first mouthful, the man's eyes glazed over, not expecting to be able to enjoy this meal again. All this time he had secretly missed the wife's cooking. There have been many restaurant places that Aji came to, just to taste the taste of food like the cuisine of the wife. However, there is nothing like this.

Now that the man could feel it back, it felt so very happy. Though he used to be a person who was very opposed to the duty of Asha to serve him, but now it is precisely Aji who really misses the attention that Asha once gave him. Hopefully in the future he can feel that again.

After breakfast, Asha takes Khairi to the room to be bathed. Fortunately, the boy said without much protest, while Aji was still at the dinner table enjoying a warm tea made by Asha. It's so good to live like this, that's how the guy thinks.

Not long after, there was a crowded sound from the front of the house, making Asha who was in the room become curious about what was happening in front of the house, to cause a noise. Some of them even screamed at each other. Khairi who was next to her mother also felt frightened and hugged the woman.

"What's up, huh? Why so many outside?" asked Asha when she came out of the room, she also met Aji in the living room.

"It seems like it's the people around, we should just look at it," replied Aji who was taken in by Asha.

They finally came out to see what was really going on. Sure enough there were indeed some people standing in front of the house. Bik Ika and Amira tried to calm them down. However, it seems that the people do not want to know.

"That's their adulterer! Just get them out of here!" shouted one of the residents while pointing towards Asha and Aji who had just arrived.

"Yes, just throw them out!" the other timpal.

"Mom, what's going on?" asked Asha while she was beside Bik Ika.

The middle-aged woman looked confused as to what to answer. Until finally someone believed to be the village leader gave instructions for the residents to calm down first.
