Asha was not strong to be in their midst, she said to go upstairs. He wanted her to be there even longer, but his heart was not strong enough to hold back his own feelings.
His footsteps quickly climbed one by one of the stairs, he did not care about the call of the mother-in-law who was worried about him. So did Aji, but the man chose to stay there and settle the matter.
“Nak Aji, Om please be with you. Please think again, Naura is Nak Aji's best friend from childhood. She is very dear to you, Nak Aji. Please think again about our request. Whatever Nak Aji wants we will give. We will pay the dowry for this wedding,” said Aaron pleading, as well as Winda who stared expectantly at the man.
Aji sighed a few times, Aaron's last sentence made it seem like he lost his self-esteem.
“Sorry, Om. It's not a matter of material things, it's a matter of feeling. Didn't Om think about my wife's feelings? Asha was pregnant and I did not want to marry another woman while I was still committed to one woman. Would if someone came to Om and asked Aunt to give up her husband, Aunt would give the husband to the woman's parents?” ask Aji to return it.
Winda was surprised, not expecting him to get such a question from this young man. Even with both of Aji's parents who are satisfied with the mature thinking of the son. Pride was in the hearts of both of them and a smile was invisible from them.
Getting such a question, of course Winda would not allow her husband to be with anyone else. So he just kept quiet without answering anything.
“How, Aunt?” ask Aji.
Finally the two people were quiet after getting a definite answer from Aji. They brought unpleasant news to the princess.
‘What do you expect, Asha? You still hope Aji will be with you and your son? He was just encouraging his parents. Only two years, after that you should only be able to forget him and take care of your own son,’ the inner Asha is poignant. His hope is now gone.
“Akh!” asha groaned, suddenly her stomach felt stiff and made her sick. Asha bit her lower lip to endure the pain.
While downstairs, Aji and her parents are still sitting and discussing the arrival of Naura's parents.
“I hope you are not disappointed,” said Aji.
“Kelewa? No. gabe. Precisely Papa is proud you can talk like that to them and reject it,” Harto said while patting the son's shoulder twice.
“Mama also. Mama did not know that her son was very mature, especially after marriage. Asha can change you slowly like now, the wiser it is,” said Tia happily. Aji was silent at the mother's words. “Mama is indeed happy with Naura, but Mama would rather Asha be your wife. Although she is not as beautiful as Naura, but I don't know, Mama's heart is happier with Asha,” Tia said again.
Aji smiled and then said goodbye to catch up with Asha.
“Akhs. Pain!” Asha's voice shrieked in pain as Aji had just walked into her room. Aji was worried to see the wife who was moving restlessly in the bed, he rushed over and asked Asha.
“Why you?” ask Aji.
“Sick, Mas. Please!”
Aji panicked, only the first time Asha whimpered in pain like this. Seeing Asha's pale face, Aji carried the wife out of the room.
“We're going to the hospital!” said Aji panicked.
“Nevent gone, Mas. I'm fine,” said Asha, but Aji didn't listen to his wife's words and took her down the stairs still carefully.
“What's up? What happened to Asha?” tia asked who had just come out of the kitchen.
“Asha's stomach hurts!” exclaim Aji.
Hearing the screams of the wife, Harto came out of his room and saw his wife and children, and his son-in-law who was carried by Aji.
“Papa, quickly grab car keys. We're going to the hospital!” shout Tia. Harto immediately escaped his footsteps and went back to the room to retrieve his car keys.
It didn't take long, they had arrived at the hospital and the doctor was treating Asha. Aji and her parents waited anxiously outside the room.
“How, Doctor?” tia asked when the female doctor had just come out from inside. Aji and Harto immediately approached and waited for a response from the doctor.
“Please be calm, the situation of Mother Asha and her baby is okay, just experiencing regular cramps. Seems like it was because Mother Asha was thinking about something a lot? Stress in pregnant women is common, hope Father and Mother, and also Mr. Aji can keep the feelings of Ms. Asha well,” said the doctor made the two parents sigh of relief. However, not with Aji who feels guilty. Previously Asha had never been like this, probably because of the arrival of the Naura family earlier.
“Thank God, can we sign in?” ask Tia. The doctor nodded his head.
“Yes, of course. But please calm down and I beg you not to make the patient think of anything heavy, yes,” pinta woman with her pride uniform.
Aji and her parents entered the room and met Asha who was lying down with the other patients. The hospital is full so Asha is getting treatment along with the second grade patients. Inside the room were several patients who were being visited by their families. The infusion appears to be attached to Asha's hand.
“Asha, Mama is very worried. You're all right? Mama and Papa are sorry for getting you involved in this. Mama and Papa shouldn't have asked you to come either. We are sorry,” said Tia who felt guilty. If anything happened to her granddaughter, she would blame herself.
Asha smiled and shook her head. “I'm fine, Ma. Sorry for worrying you guys,” Asha said. Harto also apologized for the incident, but what Asha expected was actually an apology revealed from Aji's lips. But her husband was silent.
Tia was eager to accompany Asha here, but one of the families contacted her that she was currently on her way to visit.
“Nothing, Ma. Mom and Dad just go home. I'm fine here alone,” Asha said. Tia feels guilty. If only his relatives were not from outside the city who would visit, he would definitely say to meet next time.
“Yes, Mama and Papa just go home. I'll accompany my wife here.”
Eventually Tia and Harto return home leaving Aji and Asha in the hospital.
The two of them were silent, not talking to each other. Aji circulated his gaze around the entire room, too many people here and too noisy.
“Tomorrow we move to another hospital,” said Aji.
“To where? For what?” ask Asha.
“You will not be able to rest well here,” said the man again. Asha smiled faintly, it was enough of this kind of speech that Asha was waiting for. Her heart warmed, but again she reminded herself of the status of their relationship.
Suddenly, Asha's stomach rang loudly, clearly heard by Aji.
“I'll find food,” said the man while standing. Asha was embarrassed and shook her head saying no need, but Aji did not listen to the woman and left from there.
“Wah, her husband is very attentive yes, Ma'am. Lucky Maak has a good husband like that,” said someone who was in the patient bed next to Asha.
Asha turned her head and smiled while nodding her head. If he knew what was going on, would he still say he was lucky?
