Father's Status On My Son's Deed

Father's Status On My Son's Deed
43. Papa

"Mama!" shouted a little boy while running to hug his mother. He is none other than Khairi.

Asha who saw the son coming and hugged him immediately returned the embrace. But something is strange. The child seemed to have cried, visible from his swollen eyes and a little stuffing leftover crying earlier. Khairi grows up to be a good boy, never once to hurt anyone else, let alone his friend.

Now that he's home crying is new. Khairi also never cried this selana. When fighting with his friend, the child prefers to give up and apologize. Even though he didn't feel guilty. It was done for the sake of his friendship.

"Mama's son why? Is there anything Khairi is sick with?" asha asked trying to remain calm.

The boy was still in his mother's arms. Asha rubbed her son's back to make him calmer. After a while, then the woman unraveled her embrace and stared at Khairi's face which then looked down. He knew something must have just happened and hurt the boy.

"What's wrong? Want to tell Mama? Didn't Mama always say that Khairi should be honest with Mama and have nothing to hide? What's up?"

Khairi is actually hesitant, but she has to tell her mother. "So while playing ball in the park with friends, Alvin lost and he was angry saying that I had no papa. His friends are coming with me, too, Ma. Though I have told you that papa is far away, can not go home now," replied Khairi with tears that returned to drip.

Asha who heard also felt hurt because the son was not wrong, but the children insulted him instead. He is also sometimes upset with the mothers in this village. Do they not advise their children to be kinder to their friends. However, the woman again tried to ease her emotions.

They are just kids who know nothing. They still can not think well, he should advise his son to be more patient again.

"Khairi's a good boy, right?" asked Asha who was taken in by the son. "If there is evil, neither can Khairi repay him with evil. We must repay it with kindness. God willing God will reward him himself. Moreover, today's friends are also still small, yet to understand."

"But they're bigger than Khairi, Ma. They should think well." Khairi tries to defend himself.

"Yes, surely soon they will be able to think well so, Khairi should not follow evil. Mama's son is a sholeh child and manners."

Khairi only nodded even though in his heart he was still not willing to be demonized like that. However, the boy did not want to see the sad face of his mother so, it was better to give up.

"Mas Aji, how will I have to explain to him about you? How are you doing now? Are you married and happy with your child? They must be very funny and adorable. They also must have had a complete affection, unlike my son. Forgive me for making you a part of my life, but I never regret it. Even until this moment the love is still there, intact for you. It will never be replaced by anyone" Asha said in her heart.

During this time there were some men who approached him, some even proposed to him to come home. However, the woman blatantly refused and said that she still had a husband. Although we have not met for years. It was clear that she was a widow divorced by her husband.

"Is Neng Asha not intending to meet the two old men who are in the city? Poor they must be currently worrying about the state of Eneng," asked Bik Ika while the two were in the dining room.

Everyone is sleeping in their own rooms now. Asha could not sleep so, decided to sit down for a while enjoying tea after making sure Khairi was asleep. It had indeed become the custom of Asha since living in the village. Always think about the situation of both her parents and her husband. Somehow they are now, he is very curious.

"I'm afraid to go home, Bik. What if you still don't want Khairi's presence? I don't want to part with him, he's my real son. Even though the world did not expect his presence, I would still keep him by my side. At home there is also a sister, surely she can take care of papa and mama," replied Asha sad.

"It still feels different if the child is all gathered. Eneng is now also a mother, must really understand how they feel. It's not that Bibi is willing to defend her master and mistress, but try to open her heart."

Bik Ika looked at Asha's face, hoping that the woman understood her point. However, it seems like it will be very difficult.

"We'll see, hopefully I can be really strong to meet them."

Bik Ika nodded, nor could she force Asha to return to her city. He was also actually afraid that his two masters would be angry and would do even more reckless things. As an old man, the middle-aged woman could not simply ignore what this origin did. It has been more than five years, surely they also missed Asha.

"Yes, I'm going to go to the room first. Auntie also rest fast, take care of health."

"Yes, Neng, just go to bed first."

Asha returned to the room, seeing the peaceful face of the son. He remembered the incident earlier this afternoon about him being ridiculed by his friend. Whether it might be time for Khairi to find out who she really is or maybe, she could tell Khairi that her father is dead. Asha was very confused, unable to see the sad face of the son. All this time he had hoped to live quietly with the son alone, but now Khairi would break that hope.

"Papa .. papa ..." murmured Khairi with his eyes closed, seen if his sleep is currently restless.

Asha saw him pat the boy on the back slowly. This was not the first time Khairi had been delirious like that. Too often, almost every day. Asha knew that it was a form of longing for the son to his father, but at this time the woman still could not grant the child's wish.

Maybe someday or maybe even when Khairi is very mature and can look for it yourself. When the heart came, she was afraid that Aji would not accept her son's presence.
