Part 21 - Meet and Let Go

Regan persists despite Laura's repeated attempts to evict her. Laura's cry grew more and more so, and she felt like she was in deep confusion. Regan remained standing in front of her, trying to explain her feelings, yet Laura was still too hurt to listen.

"Go from here! Hicks..."

"No. Before you forgive me and come back to me. I still love you."

"please leave! I don't want to see you."

"I won't leave until you forgive me. I know, you still love me. So Allow-"

Suddenly, as the atmosphere grew tense, the door of the house opened abruptly. All eyes were on the door, and Vano's presence in the doorway left everyone in the room speechless.

Vano entered the house with an angry face. "Didn't you hear? He told you to leave. So, get out of here!"

He saw Laura crying, Regan standing in front of him, and a very tense atmosphere. He knew something serious was going on.

Regan had no intention of answering, she just stared at the crying Lauta before her. And Vano, from the beginning was behind the door and heard everything, with no intention of entering.

"It's better that you don't have to interfere with our problems" Regan said.

"As long as that problem has Laura in it, it will also be my problem. So, please come out!! Laura doesn't need you here."

The debate between Regan and Vano came back shortly after Regan decided to give in because she did not want to make Laura hate her even more. And left Laura's house with mixed feelings.

Laura finally turned her gaze from towards Vano. His tears were still running, and he felt very chaotic. "Vano, i... I don't know what to do."

Vano hugged Laura with a lot of emotion. Laura felt warm in her arms, like finding shelter. Her tears kept flowing, and Vano was just silent, providing support with her presence.

"Laura, I'm here now" Vano whispered softly. "We're gonna go through all this together."

Laura gripped Vano tightly, feeling like such a complicated world suddenly had a hint of certainty. Although complicated issues still exist, Vano's presence is a reminder that they will try to deal with her as a family.

Moments later, Laura released a hug and wiped her tears. "I'm sorry, Vano. I'm too confused and emotional."

Vano smiled gently. "It's okay, Laura. It's a difficult moment for all of us. We'll find a way out together."

Vano and Laura sat together in the living room, and Vano clasped Laura's hands tightly, providing unspoken support. They know that there will be a lot of things to talk about and resolve, but at least they are now doing it together, as a family that wants to reunite.

Laura then felt the need to go into more detail about the situation with Regan, about the children, and how everything was intertwined. Vano listened with attention, trying to understand the whole dynamic. This is the beginning of a long process of finding the best solution for all of them.

From behind the bedroom door, Vio and Iva listened soulfully to the conversation between their parents. They are shocked and saddened to hear that Regan is their real father who has been a mystery all along.

"So, Uncle Regan is our real father. Hicks..." Iva was crying, feeling confused and full of emotion.

Vio tried to remain calm, although in his heart it was also raging. "God answered our curiosity all along. Now we know who our real father is."

Iva continued to cry, feeling hurt and confused by all the changes that were happening. "Then, what should we do? Mom and dad. Hicks."

Vio tried to give his sister a little courage. "We'll think about it later. We should also listen to mom and dad."

However, Iva's feelings were still too hurt and confused. "But Dad..."

Vano heard their debate and decided to reprimand. "He made my mother cry."

Then, Vio and Iva felt that this was a good time to close their bedroom door and give their parents time to talk without being distracted. In the confusion and emotion they feel, they feel that the presence of Vano is an opportunity to understand their past which has been a mystery.

After that discussion. Regan really could not meet Laura, even Laura often reminded her two sons not to meet Regan. Every day Regan is at her son's school, but she only sees him from a distance. Since then, the twins have seen little change from their mother, who is now a little quiet, rarely fussing or nagging at them if they make a mistake. The sad look on his face could be read by his own daughter's son. It also made her son feel sad.

"You love her?" Tanya Tania visited Laura's house. She seriously asked her sister how she felt.

Laura just kept quiet and did not answer.

"I already know the answer. You don't have to answer Laura" said Vano, who was shocked by her arrival.

"Vano!" lirih Tania's.

"I love Laura. Whatever makes him happy, I'll be happy." he continued.

Laura looked at Vano not understanding.

Vio and Iva were walking in the corridor of the school. The atmosphere of the school had begun to be quiet because most students had gone home. The two of them talked about their school day and what they would do after coming home.

"Sister, carry me!" Iva pinta.

Vio refused. "Go yourself! You're heavy!"

"If it's like that, don't hurry!" said Iva, he limped to equalize his brother's steps.

"You're the only way that's like a snail!" hardik Vano's. Still does not reduce the speed of the steps.

"You know my legs hurt, brother."

"Reason. Throw away your drink, and go the right way!"

"You're so bad as a big brother. I was thirsty. Instead of being helped even nag." pouted Iva.

"You're the spoiled one!" cerca Vano.

From a distance Regan who watched his two children clash their mouths. He wanted to join them and embrace them. But no way, she did not want her two children to be scolded by Laura if she met him. So Regan decides to leave, before they see her.

But, Iva has seen it. Iva knew Regan had been watching him and Vio. Iva nudges Vio's arm and shows Regan's whereabouts who has turned away from the school yard. Both of them noticed Regan's departure

"Dad!" call Iva.

Regan stopped her steps without looking. The call made his chest rustle.
