I'm your Dad
Part 30 - Fight for your Love!

Iva came home from school with her heavy backpack. She knows that her brother, Vio, is still hospitalized, and she wants to visit him. Laura has informed Iva of Vio's condition and gives him permission to visit his brother.

When Iva entered Vio's nursery, she saw Regan sitting beside the bed, holding Vio's hand gently. Regan looked at Vio with an attentive expression, even while Vio was still sleeping quietly.

Iva approached them with caution, "Oh, there's a father" Iva said.

When Regan noticed her presence, she smiled gently. "You're home yet? Did dad's friend pick you up?" asked Regan in a soft voice.

Iva nodded and smiled. "Yes. Uncle Elwin's picking me up."

"Dad, my friend came to see Vio."

"Oh, yeah? Then, where is he?" ask Regan.

"Hello, Uncle!" greet friend Iva in question just entered the nursery of Vio. She is a daughter.

"Hello. Come inside! Why stand at the door. Wanna see Vio, right? Come inside!" said Regan.

"Dad, where's mom going? You're not here?" ask Iva.

"Mom's out for a minute!"

Coinciding with that, the sound of the door re-opening.

"Iva, are you home? Who's picking you up?" ask Laura.

"Friends of dad who picked me up to school." replied Iva.

"You guys continue, yeah. Dad's out for a minute." said Regan, stepping his foot out.

"Dad, bring me some food later, yeah!" Iva pinta.

Regan nodded, then just walked out of the room. Vano who was standing next to Laura, only glanced at Regan's departure.

Iva looked at the face of her brother who was still lying down with a slightly anxious look. She went to approach her brother and held the other hand of Vio gently.

"Sister, how are you? Quickly awake! I'm so lonely if you're sick like this." said Iva. Even though her brother still closed his eyes.

Vio woke up from his deep sleep and opened his eyes slowly. When he saw his sister's face, he smiled broadly. "Iva..."

Iva smiled back and said, "Sister, I miss you" said Iva directly hugging her sister.

Thank goodness Vio woke up. It made Laura not stop giving thanks and immediately approached, kissed, and gently rubbed her son's hair.

"Regan!!" call Vano. Deliberately chasing Regan while in the hospital hallway.

Regan stopped her steps and looked back, her face looking alert. However, after seeing Vano, Regan's expression began to soften a little.

"Can we talk for a second?" Vano.

Both of them were silent and staring at each other.

"What's wrong?" ask in a careful voice.

Vano approached Regan with a face full of regret. "I'm sorry, Regan. I know I'm wrong, but I want to talk to you."

Regan pondered for a moment before finally nodding. "Well, we can talk in the hospital garden."

The two of them walked to the hospital park, ready to listen and talk about what happened.

"What do you want to talk about?" ask Regan.

"I'm sorry, if you think I took Laura away from you" Vano said.

Regan looked at Vano cluelessly, and waited for Vano to continue.

"I really loved Laura. Even from the time she first set foot in Canada, until I found out she was pregnant and without a husband, I became determined to help her look after the children. Until the kids considered me their own father from childhood. Laura did tell the kids everything, so the kids weren't too surprised to hear your fight with Laura."

Vano let out a long sigh, then turned to look at Regan who had been staring at him. Then, look back to the front before continuing the story.

"Not once have I expressed my feelings to her, even often. But the answer from 15 years ago to the present day remains the same. He is not ready for a new relationship. Until I find out when you come in front of him and the kids."

He looked back at Regan, but with a serious look, he saw Regan had stared blankly ahead, before he continued his words which made Regan immediately turn to him.

"Fight back your love!!" Vano is full of emphasis.

Regan looked at Vano questioningly. But the one who was stared at smiled.

"Lusa... I'm going back to Canada. I hope you can melt her heart back."

Vano patted Regan's shoulder gently and excited her, before leaving Regan herself.

Regan was silent for a moment, digesting everything she had just heard from Vano. His mind raged, remembering the sweet moments with Laura and also his love that never faded. She knew that facing the past and the love that was still stored in Laura's heart would not be easy.
