I'm your Dad

I'm your Dad
Part 44 - Say Darling?!

Geck! Geck! Geck!

The door of Regan's room opened quickly, revealing the figure of Iva arriving at Uncle Sean's Company enthusiastically.

"Dad!" exclaim Iva with enthusiasm as she stepped into the room.

Regan smiled when she saw her daughter. "You've arrived? Who's driving you?" ask with concern.

Iva explained, "I asked Aunt Naomi to drop me off at Uncle Sean's company. Fortunately, he found out after looking on the internet. Then, in the lobby, I met Uncle Baran."

Regan let out a sigh of relief, "Thank God. Then, where's Vio?" tanyanya, curious.

Iva explained again, "I've already asked. But big brother wants to go home soon, he just says he has to do schoolwork."

Regan was disappointed, but she understood the feelings of her son who might still have a hard time accepting the situation.

"alright. You wait there, I'll finish the file a little bit" Regan said, pointing to the sofa in the room.

...***...

Meanwhile, on the 27th floor, Mila sees Laura rushing towards the elevator.

"Miss!! Where do you want to go? Why run around like that? Are your legs healed?" ask Mila with worry.

Laura replied, "Oh, Mila. I left my report at the reception desk."

Mila offered to help, "I'll get you. Miss just go back to the room. Your feet have not healed completely either. What if you see him?"

"No, Mila. I can take it myself. You can continue with your work" replied Laura.

Mila was worried, "All right. I'll just accompany you. After all, it's home hours, because you asked all the employees to come home early today. I finished my work too."

"Why could that be? There was still a lot of work waiting" asked Laura.

"Either... Maybe Mr. Regan is feeling happy today. So, he wants to give free time bonuses to all of us," said Mila.

Mila and Laura then got into the elevator, and while chatting, they headed for the reception desk.

...***...

"Kiran! Did you see my report left here?" laura asked as she arrived at the reception desk.

Kiran, the receptionist there, looked confused. "I didn't see it, Laura. Don't-don't... That kid took it."

Kiran tried to explain, "I don't know who the girl is, because of the other receptionists who faced her. He claims to be the son of Mr. Regan."

"What's? Mr Regan's son?" Laura's surprised.

"I'll find out what happened" Kiran said.

But suddenly Regan appears from behind Laura and hears their conversation.

"Why me?" regan asked coldly and with a bone-chilling look.

Laura lowered her head respectfully, followed by Kiran and Mila by her side.

"Sorry, Sir. I'm looking for the report left on the reception desk. When I came back, the report was gone" explained Laura to protect Kiran.

Regan looked calm, "What's the report with the blue cover?"

"Yes, the blue cover. It's mine" Laura replied.

"I've brought her into my room" Regan said politely.

"Thank God if it's not gone. Thank you, sir," said Laura with gratitude.

Laura then looked towards Iva who came with her.

"Mother, come with us!" take Iva, hold her mother's hand.

"Where to go??" ask Laura.

"Iva took us for a walk. It is also impossible that Iva just went with her father alone, her mother would have to come, too" Regan said with confidence.

"It's true, Mom's coming too, yeah. The heart of letting dad go alone without a partner." continued Iva, smiling at Laura.

Laura finally agreed, "Alright. I'll get the bag first."

"No need, baby. I've asked Uncle Baran to bring your bag here" Regan said.

Clearly, Regan called Laura with an affectionate call in front of Mila calmly holding back her smile, in contrast to Kiran who looked surprised to the point of gawking and thinking hard what exactly was their relationship?

Iva proudly took the hands of her father and mother, wanting to show that they were a legitimate family. While Kiran was still speechless and unable to speak, trying to process the information she had just heard.
