I'm your Dad

I'm your Dad
Part 27 - Two Sides of Twins

The Luminex Corp Company

"Laura, how long are you going to be like this to me? Will you forgive me forever? I know I was wrong. I want to fix everything."

"sorry. My job is done. I have to go."

Laura wanted to turn around, but her arm was held back by Regan.

"Laura, we need to talk. I can't keep going like this." Regan said.

"There's nothing we need to talk about. Excuse me!" Laura slapped Regan's hand and left.

"Including if the kids want us back?"

Regan's words managed to stop Laura's steps. Regan looked at Laura's stiffened back.

"I'm sure they'll never force me to forgive you. They already know who's the villain here." - Laura.

Regan, who was already feeling despair with this situation, suddenly felt a deep fury. He pulled Laura who was about to return and cornered her on the wall. Regan looked at Laura with eyes that exuded despair and regret.

"Laura, I won't let this continue" Regan said in a stern tone. "We need to solve this problem now. Children should not know about our disagreements, but they need to know that both of their parents are trying to mend this relationship."

Laura was speechless, caught in Regan's intense gaze. Although her heart was still filled with anger and pain, she could not avoid the fact that their children were the most important.

Laura was getting angry, and she rebelled. She refused sternly, "I won't let myself be governed by you, Regan! You ruined everything and left me in the dark. Now you want to go back? I don't know if I can forgive you!"

Laura tries to break free from Regan's grip, but Regan is still strong enough to hold her against the wall. The two of them stood in suspense, emotions peaked, and the atmosphere of the room felt tense.

Regan tried to defuse the situation, "Laura, I know I've made a lot of mistakes, and I regret it. I can't change the past, but I want to improve our future together. Please, give me a chance."

Laura sighed deeply, and she felt that this conflict was getting more complicated.

Laura was still full of anger, and she yelled at Regan, "Until any time, Regan, I won't forgive you! You've ruined my life and the lives of children! You think enough with sorry words?"

Regan felt discouraged hearing Laura's stern words. He knew that what he had done was a big mistake, and changing Laura's view of him would take a very long time, if that was even possible.

He tried to explain in a low voice, "Laura, I know I can't erase all the mistakes I've done. But I really regret it. I'll never stop trying to fix everything, even if it takes years."

Laura simply shook her head firmly, tears filling her eyes. "Your words can't change what happened, Regan. I'll protect the kids and keep them out of all the trouble you've caused."

Laura still could not ease her anger. With a resolute gesture, he managed to break free from Regan's grip and exit the CEO's room by slamming the door. The sound of the door slamming rumbled, reflecting the tension and resentment that existed between them.

Regan is aware of the impact of her overly imposing actions, and she feels guilty. He sits on Sean's throne, contemplating this increasingly complicated situation, and feels that the journey to mend their relationship will be very difficult.

...***...

"Mother, why is it late today? Busy, huh, in the office?" ask Iva.

"Yes. Even mom didn't pick us up." concluded Vio.

"Yes, sorry. Mother's work is very much today. So, I have to be late at the office." Laura replied as she ate her meal.

"With dad?" ask Iva.

"Hem! Right!" laura's answer was able to make Iva smile happily. Not with Vio clenching his tiny hand that was holding a spoon, eager to stuff his sister's mouth.

"Mom why don't you try to forgive me?" ask Iva again. "Looks like my dad was very sorry for what he did. Give it another chance, ma'am."

"Is that man telling you to talk to me like that?" asked Laura in a cold tone.

"No, Ma. Dad didn't ask me to say that to Mom. It's from me. I just want you and Mom to be better."

Iva tried to explain further, "Mother, I just feel that we all miss a whole family. I am so sorry and trying to fix everything. Can't we give him a chance?"

Laura looked at Iva's eyes full of kindness and sincerity. His heart was touched, but it was still too full of wounds and doubts. He spoke softly, "Iva, honey, I know you want a happy family. But it's not as easy as you might think. Sometimes, the mistakes that have occurred are too big to fix."

Vio was upset and could not hold back his emotions any longer. She finally snapped in a stern voice, "Iva, you don't understand how mom feels! Dad's not the one who deserves to be sorry. I think our father is Vano's father, who has always been there for us since childhood. I won't forgive her mistakes like you do!"

Vio's anger was still burning, especially at his sister who did not fully understand his mother's feelings. She felt the need to explain further, "Iva, you don't know what mom feels like every time she looks at that guy's face. It's not just a matter of forgiving or not, it's about deep wounds that are hard for the mother to heal."

Iva was speechless, feeling a little regret over her previous words. She could feel the power in her brother's words and now better understand their mother's feelings.

Laura tried to ease the tension, "Kids, enough. We all have to give ourselves time to understand and accept this reality. Whatever happens, we must remember that we love each other."

Their dinner continued in a somewhat quieter silence, although a complicated feeling still hung in the air. Laura hopes that one day their family can find a way to heal and embrace the future better.

"Finish your dinner, then go back to your room!" laura's Word.

"Mother.." whine Iva.

"Your schoolwork is still a lot. Finish the meal, then work on it. Or I'll call your teacher."

"Well, ma'am." answered Iva lethargic.

Iva feels hurt by her sister and mother. He felt alienated in his different feelings and views about their father. Although he wanted their family to reunite, it felt like no one was listening or understanding him.

As the dinner progressed, Iva decided to be more silent. He reflected on his own feelings and hoped that one day their family could find a way to overcome this split without neglecting his sincere feelings.
