Part 22 - Changing Disappointment
"Dad!" call Iva.
Regan stopped her steps without looking. The call made his chest rustle.
"Dad!" call them both.
Regan looked up, and her two children were close behind her.
"You guys?!" stunned Regan stared at the beads of her two children one by one.
"Are you just going to leave without saying anything?" ask Iva.
The words from his daughter made him quiet. Regan realized, surely her daughter would be very angry and hate him.
Suddenly Iva runs into Regan's arms with her sobs.
"Iva miss. Hix... Why didn't you say you were our father? Hicks..."
"I'm sorry dad." Regan balanced her son's height and hugged his daughter tightly.
"Don't leave us" Vio said. He was still standing not far from his sister who was hugging their father.
Vio's remarks made Regan pull her also in a hug. Now they are both crying in the arms.
"I'm sorry dad. For 15 years, I've never stopped looking for your mother. And I also just found out if your mother gave birth to twins as handsome and beautiful as you. I was really sorry that time. I'm sorry." said Regan heartily sincerely apologizing.
"Dad don't go. Hiks.." said Iva who was getting sobbing and tightened his embrace.
"No. Dad's not going. I'll be here with you."
"Dad's gonna make up with mom, right?" ask Iva again.
"Lva!! Vio!" he sounds cold.
The three of them both turned their heads in surprise as the scream echoed in each other's ears.
"Mother!!" scream at them both.
"In the car!!" he said with a sharp look.
"Mom, I want to be with you" said Iva.
"Didn't you guys hear? Get in the car now!!" yelled Laura snapped.
"Mother, Kit-"
Iva suddenly flinched in surprise as Laura suddenly pulled her hand and Vio, slightly dragging her closer to the car. Regan who did not stay silent her son and daughter were treated like that and held Laura's hand.
"Laura, don't be rude to them."
Laura slaps into Regan's hand.
"Don't interfere. They're my kids! My rudeness means nothing to them, compared to you killing them!"
"But I'm their father too. You can't be like this. They're not wrong, I'm wrong. Just get angry at me, not them."
"Keep away!!"
"Dad, Hicks..." Iva doesn't stop crying.
"Lva! Into car!!" kecam Laura was firm.
Regan stared at the departure of Laura's car and her son with a sad look.
In the car.
"Kids!" call Laura. The one called silent does not answer.
"You heard mom?"
They still don't answer. Laura is trying to be patient.
"Why shut up and not answer your call?"
"Why is mom evil to us and dad?" iva spoke sharply without looking at his mother. Obviously Laura was heartbroken to hear that.

"Have you met Laura? You guys talk?" sean said in a cold tone, despite the worry emanating in his eyes.
Regan nodded slowly, "Hemm, He still doesn't want to talk to me."
Regan told her and Laura everything about her sister. Sean was very surprised by Regan's confession, even Sean had to beat Regan all out because he had run from responsibility as a man. Fortunately Sean has not been too deep to like Laura, so he is not too hurt if he has to release his love to his own sister. And now, Sean wants Regan to take responsibility for what he did, while getting an apology from Laura.
Sean looked at his sister with a sharp gaze, "What about your two children?"
Regan gulped for a moment before replying, "Yes, I've met him. Reportedly.complicated, Brother. The children are grown up, they are angry with me but accept the fact that I am their real father. Laura. Also... I'm afraid he's venting his anger at me."
Sean nodded, understanding that the situation would not be easy. "Regan, you know that this isn't just about you, right? It's about your family, your kids, and Laura, too. You have to understand their feelings."
Regan felt guilty and frustrated. "I know, Brother. But I don't know what else to do. I miss them."
Sean approached his sister and placed a hand on her shoulder, providing support. "You have to be patient, Regan. Try to improve your relationship with your children, and talk to Laura. This isn't the end of everything, just the beginning of a long journey to repair your family."
Regan took a deep breath. He knew that it would be a long and difficult struggle, but he was willing to do everything for his family. "I'll try, brother. Thanks for the support."
Sean smiled and gave another push, "I know you can do it. Remember, family is always important."
The two of them sat in the living room, preparing to face a long journey towards reconciliation and peace in their families that had been separated for so long.
"Don't give up. Your efforts won't be in vain, if you really love him." Sean replied with a nod by Regan.

It's been 30 minutes Laura's at her son's doorstep. He repeatedly knocked on the door of his son's room that was locked from the inside because they were in an angry mood.
"Darling... Open the door, I want to talk." cried Laura's voice from outside.
"Didn't want. I have to forgive you first." replied Iva from the inside.
"It's not that easy, son. You guys don't understand. Open the door first."
There was no response from inside the locked room.
The sound of the door opening, featuring two figures of princess and prince Laura with faces bent in a frown. Laura smiled at him, adorable.
"I'm sorry mom, yeah. Yuk, we're eating. I've prepared your favorite food."
"Iva isn't hungry." answered Iva coldly.
"Me too." - Kimpal Vio.
They both chose to leave to their mother.
"Where do you want to go?" ask Laura.
Both did not answer. Just walk out the door of the house, without responding to the call from the mother.
...Laura felt her heart crumble to see her two children leave without listening to her request. He knew that mending a relationship with them would not be easy, but he would not give up so easily....
Holding back tears, Laura decided to pick them back up. He came out of the house in a hasty step, trying to find Iva and Vio who had left the house.
After searching for about some time, Laura finally found the two of them in the garden near the house. They sat on the swing, but their expressions remained firm.
Laura approached them carefully and sat down beside Vio. He looked at the faces of his two children with affection. "Darling, I know you're mad at me. But I want you to know that I love you more than anything in the world."
Iva and Vio still looked at their mother skeptically. They are not ready to forgive.
Laura continued, "The two of you are everything to mom. Mom knows that mom and dad have made a big mistake, but we can all learn from the mistakes. What matters is that we're together again as a family."
Iva finally took her eyes off her mother and stared at the ground doubtfully. "Are you going back to live with dad?"
Laura felt as if her heart had paused for a moment, because she knew that this decision would not be easy. "Mom don't know for sure, baby. To be sure, I want to repair the relationship with you first. Whatever happens, we'll deal with it together."
Vio finally spoke up, "Are you going to forgive me?"
Laura kissed her son's forehead gently. "No, hon. I will not be able to forgive him. I want to stay with you, forever and only three."
Iva and Vio looked at each other, still doubtful and full of doubt.
No one can predict what will happen next, but one thing is for sure, they will go on this journey together, as a real family.
