Part 28 - Falling From the Stairs

Laura is at the home of her sister, Tania, who is one of the shelters and support for her in this complicated situation. They sat together in the living room, talking about the latest developments in Laura's life.

Suddenly, the door of the house opened, and Vano stepped in. Laura was surprised to see him, as they rarely met after Vano came from Canada.

"Vano? You here?" Laura asked, eyes wide open in surprise.

Vano smiled and replied, "Sister Tania told me that you were here. I can't wait to see you."

"Vano, don't you go to the company?" ask Tania.

"My work hours are in 2 hours, brother. You don't go to work either?" ask Laura Vano.

Laura replied, "Umm. I'm leaving in 15 minutes."

"I'll drive you" Vano said.

"That's a good offer. You better just drop him off. He also did not bring a vehicle here." Tania concluded.

Tania gave an understanding look to Vano before resigning to give them some time together. Laura and Vano are sitting face to face, with complicated feelings and a lot to express.

"Laura, I miss you," Vano said in a soft voice. "I know things are getting tough, but I want to know how you're doing."

Laura felt emotional hearing Vano's words, and tears filled her eyes. Although they have separated, their relationship still has a strong bond, especially through their two children.

"Vano," Laura said quietly, "It's all so complicated. I still feel so hurt by everything that's going on."

Vano nodded in understanding. "I feel the same way. But I want us to be able to maintain a good relationship, especially for Iva and Vio."

Laura pondered for a moment, then raised her head to meet Vano face to face. "I want the best for the kids. But I still find it hard to see you without remembering everything that's happened."

Vano replied sincerely, "I understand, Laura. I'll give you the time and space you need. We can figure out a way to restore this relationship, even if it takes a long time."

Laura and Vano sit down together, beginning the process to understand and support each other on this challenging journey. Although their future remains uncertain, they both agree that the happiness and well-being of their children are paramount.

Before long, Laura's phone rang. Not a minute Laura raised, but it had made her face change. His face instantly turned deathly pale with his shock. Making Vano in front of him look at him questioningly and worriedly.

"Laura, what's wrong?" ask Vano to worry.

"Vio... Vio fell down the stairs and is now being rushed to the hospital. I have to go there."

"I'll drive you."

"You go first. I'll catch up with my husband" Tania said.

Laura was so shocked when she received the news that Vio had fallen down the stairs, and panic gripped her heart. Without saying much, he immediately got out of the chair.

Vano who was in front of him wasted no time. He soon got up as well, ready to accompany Laura to the hospital.

Laura and Vano sat together in the car, waiting anxiously for more news of Vio's condition. Laura felt uneasy and worried, unable to sit still.

"Vano, can you speed it up?" the door was full of tension. His face was pale and his eyes were full of worry.

They both kept thinking about Vio's condition and hoped that everything would be fine. But feelings of worry and confusion about how to deal with this situation still haunt them.

"Vano, can you hurry up again! We need to get to the hospital soon."

"Patience, Laura! The streets are crowded. We'll be there soon." replied Vano seriously, then stepped on the gas a little deeper, accelerating the speed of their car to the hospital.

"You didn't tell their father? Regan's? Did he know Vio fell down the stairs?" ask Vano.

"He has no right to know or not. We better get there fast! Vio must be alone in there."

They both kept thinking about Vio's condition and hoped that everything would be fine. But feelings of worry and confusion about how to deal with this situation still haunt them.

The two of them could only pray that Vio would soon get proper treatment and recover quickly. Hopefully the news from the hospital will provide some relief amid the tension they are feeling at the moment.

Arriving at the hospital, Laura and Vano immediately seek information about Vio's state. They were told that Vio was undergoing a medical examination and they had to wait for more information.

The two old men half ran towards the IGD where Vio was. From the end of the hallway, Laura had already seen Iva who was crying, accompanied by a grown man beside her.

"Lva!" call Laura.

"Mother!" scatter Iva, run at his mother.

Laura immediately ran to hug Laura, and cried on her mother's shoulders.

"So when Iva ran down the stairs, Vio tried to chase after Iva. Vio had warned Iva not to run down the stairs, but Iva did not listen to him, hyks.when Vio grabbed Iva's bag from his back to stop Iva, but Iva instead pulled it back, hiks. As a result Vio was pushed forward, then slipped from the stairs and fell. Hiks, forgive Iva, it's Iva's fault. hiks.."

"Don't cry! It was just an accident. Don't blame yourself. Hope your brother is okay!" said Laura rubbed Iva's back.

"Stay, this is Iva's fault. Hicks..."

Iva was still crying in Laura's arms. While the other two men stared at each other coldly, until the sound of the IGD door distracted the four of them. A doctor came out of the room.

"What about my son?" ask Regan.

The doctor replied, "Mr Regan doesn't have to worry. Your son is fine. Fortunately the wound was not too severe, just sprained, and the bones shifted slightly. We have handled it, it takes at least 3-4 weeks to heal. We'll move him to the ward immediately."

"Are there no other injuries?" ask Laura.

"Thankfully nothing, Madam. Just a small scratch on his arm, and it's been treated."

"Can we go see him?" ask Vano.

"Can, Sir. Please!" says Doctor.

"Thank you, Doctor" said Regan.

"Together, Mr. Regan. If so, excuse me!" doctor's Pamit.
