Life Becomes Duke's Beloved

Life Becomes Duke's Beloved
Estonian Duke

.

Abela smiled in satisfaction as the waiter knocked on their room door slowly. That means it's lunch time. And Armand was forced to distance himself from Abela.

Armand tidied his clothes before opening the door with a sour face. Abela was trailing behind him.

"Sorry your majesty, lord Duke is already waiting for you to have lunch." Butler bowed deeply before Armand.

"alright. We've also prepared," Armand replied calmly. Armand stretched out his hand for Abela to hold him again.

...----------------...

Calix stared out the window. He sat down at the place where the head of the family sat while eating. Waiting for his guests to arrive. Calix doesn't really want to meet Armand, their relationship isn't good. But his inability to eliminate the monster alone made him have to suppress his pride. He had to treat Armand well for the sake of his territory. Things that go against his own will or even the people who are here.

Calix stood up to greet Armand and Abela ya g politely greeted him. The two of them sat in their respective places after Calix invited them to sit politely. The waiter began serving lunch.

There was no conversation at the dinner table. They eat peacefully. Only the sound of eating utensils was heard. This silence was extremely awkward and made everyone tense. The servants became more nervous than usual. Abela also had no desire to associate the atmosphere. Why should he.

"Duke, may I request your time after lunch. There's something I want to discuss." Calix finally started the conversation after a long silence. He seems to have finished his lunch.

"Of course, we should not waste time discussing things," Armand replied and glanced at Abela who was cleaning the area around her lips with a napkin.

"You hear that, Abela?" Armand said slowly.

"Well, since I forced you to come with me I can't whine that you're always with me. I'll entertain myself by taking a walk in the castle area that I can step on." Abela said it in a bored tone inversely proportional to the words she said.

Calix looked at Armand's tired face, with his own teacher. Can he really follow a woman's request? Calix was slightly surprised as Armand turned towards him.

"I hope Duke would be kind enough to lend one servant to the madam I brought," Armand said flatly.

"With noble pleasure." Calix re-published his diplomatic smile.

"Alfred, you heard that. Choose the best waitress to accompany Miss Isla." Calix rules his butler. A middle-aged man in his fifties approached his master.

The man caught Abela's attention. Of course, because he was similar to the man who had always followed him in the past. A loyal person who does not hesitate to mandate his family to always be at Abela's side. He always gave his own name to each of his male descendants. Abela smiled guessing how many generations she had missed. Alfred is very similar to his ancestors.

"Okay sir, I will command one of the servants to accompany Madame Abela," the old man replied. As he straightened himself from his respectful position their eyes met. Abela spontaneously commented on her smile. It wasn't just Alfred who was stunned to see that smile. Calix who saw it widened his eyes a little. No he concluded madam who was in front of him has a beautiful face.

Armand caught Calix's reaction with the corner of his eye. He was quite disturbed by the smile that Abela displayed. When was the last time she smiled at him like that. Armand turned his wine glass and downed the red liquid with a slight huff.

"After I talk to the Duke, I'm going to the warrior training ground. So once you feel pretty entertaining yourself. Just wait in the room." Armand did not hesitate to say that with a tone of command. Abela was not surprised by that, unlike everyone in this room. It was hard for them to see Duke Armand's emotions going up and down.

"All right." Abela answered briefly. He was still sitting in his place even as Armand and Calix left the room.

"Mrs ... This waitress is named Jane. He will accompany you." Alfred said very politely.

"Alright Alfred, thank you," Abela replied calmly. Alfred was a little surprised that Abela spoke his name in a familiar tone.

Abela smiles at the butler before coming out followed by a waiter named Jane.

"Tell me if I step on a place I shouldn't be going." Abela still said it calmly.

"Good mistress." Jaane muttered politely.

On the other hand, Abela felt nostalgic. With all the ornaments that are well guarded since time immemorial. Abela wanted to touch him a little with her fingertips. But he knew he had to suppress that desire. His feet stepped firmly somewhere, onto a portrait that Abela was sure was still there. In a hall at the end of the hall, where all the genealogies of the Duke family are displayed. Abela headed to the Hall, and Jane said nothing about it. So with confidence Abela went even deeper. Staring at a large portrait of a handsome silver-haired man, his eyes were as bright as the daytime sky in spring.

"He was the first Duke of Estonia, Calisto Estonia, next to him was the Duchess Arabela of Estonia." Jane explained in a soft voice. Making Abela's attention turn to the portrait of a blazing red-haired woman, her eyes resolute as the color of twilight. Portrait of himself.

"They both look amazing." Abela smiled at Jane, Abela's smile inexplicably made the young girl blush.

"You're absolutely right madam," Jane murmured softly, avoiding Abela's gaze.

"This hall, can be entered by anyone?" ask Abela.

"Of course madam, Mr. Duke is very proud of all his ancestors."

"really?" a sad look was painted on Abela's face. What his descendants taught from generation to generation, it was not dangerous if they proudly called themselves the descendants of evil witches. Those who could not touch this territory for fear of witches came to protect this territory first. But she - that evil witch - no longer existed in this world. There was no reason to fear the Estonian Duke anymore. Unless he's enough to make him fear others. And Abela was quite worried. Abela breathed out.

"For the sake of the security of this territory, wouldn't it be better for the Estonian Duke not to be too proud of his ancestors?" Abela smiled as she glared at Jane's sharp gaze. Apparently this young girl disagreed with his words.

"You don't have to worry about that, ma'am. We will never turn a blind eye to the history of our territory." Jane's still keeping her tone.

Jane's answer made Abela's smile wider. "You brave people." Abela said it sincerely. Jane could see the expression on her face.

"I'm sorry I've been intolerant of the mistress. I'm with the late mistress' husband ...." Jane did not continue her words.

"No problem with that. Every event is not connected to each other. What happens to us is destiny. Jane, I'm not here to curse anyone. My sadness is gone too. I think ...." Abela is not sure what the original Abela feels about this descendant. Does he hate her?

"I came here to accompany my stiff lover. I just want to bother him. I'm just upset why the King, could have given another order after not long ago Armand finished the previous order." Abela said it with a whining tone making Jane's face reddened.

"If it wasn't for a killer infiltrating his residence to kill me. She would have left me coldly there, ", Abela said again, which quickly made Jane feel sympathy.

"Of course in your eyes this is unacceptable, right?" abela asked slightly displaying a fake sad face.

"No, certainly not madam. We can't possibly oppose the Royal family." Jane is very smart. That was the impression Abela gave the young servant.

"After all, you look good." Finally Abela saw Jane's smile as well.

"You're right Jane, the Duke loves this woman so much." Abela said it with a charming and confident smile.

Jane nodded at her master's guest, "I hope my master also gets a companion soon."

"It's not something that's hard, is it? The Estonian Duke is very handsome." If you think about it, the granddaughter of the granddaughter, the granddaughter has passed the standard age of young tian to get married.

"Duke's pretty picky." Jane whispered making Abela laugh.

"I get it, like anyone I've ever known. Chosen, angry and arrogant." Abela stared at Calisto's portrait in front of her. 'why this man should lower his ugly nature.'

"Jane, you guys have a flower garden? Can you take me there?" Abela smilingly took her eyes off the portrait of Calisto.

"Of course Madam. Over here." Jane pointed to the road politely. And Abela followed his orders.

Calisto our kids did well.
