Life Becomes Duke's Beloved

Life Becomes Duke's Beloved
Orlando and Duke

.

Orlando's waiting for his mom at the dinner table. Ever since her mother returned home, Orlando did not dare to come to her room. Orlando was not used to seeing his mother's back. So seeing Abela walking up the stairs without turning her head again was enough to make Orlando's feelings hurt.

Abela had not come down when Armand came. Butler escorted Armand to the dining room. Armand smiled slightly as he looked at the top of Orlando's head that seemed to be daydreaming.

"What made the young master think so deeply?" armand's question left Orlando shocked to the point of almost toppling over from his seat if Armand didn't hold him back immediately.

"You okay?" Armand asked worriedly, he did not expect Orlando to be surprised by his greeting.

"I ... I'm fine Dad" Orlando replied. He immediately re-enforced his seat.

"What are you thinking?" Armand asked again. A little worried about Orlando who looked sad.

"No ... I just. .. feel sad because mom doesn't seem to miss me." Orlando looked down at the floor under his feet that was still hanging on the chair.

"He may just be tired. I'm sorry, suddenly took him to the eastern territory."

"No, it's not Dad. This ... It's just a little weird. I mean ... The mother I know, it's not like that." Orlando's words were getting slower and slower.

Armand did not answer him, however Bastian and Orlando were different people. After all Bastian was not Abela's son, so he could understand that Abela's attention to him was unlike any of the previous days. Bastian can tolerate everything and start over.

But Orlando is different, of course he would feel if there were different things from his mother. Armand, who had always considered keeping everything a secret for the good of the child and the mother, felt a little insecure. Maybe his actions were wrong.

"Orlando, I'm sorry ...."

"You've been waiting a long time?" abela's question cuts to what Armand will say. Abela walked slowly towards Orlando and stroked her hair gently.

Abela felt that her attitude was too cold. Orlando is the real child of this woman. And Abela's gut tells Armand to keep the incident from Orlando a secret.

"Wait a minute, let's start eating, Butler." Abela did not call her Butler by name. He simply smiled trying to convey in silence, begging that the middle-aged man could tolerate it.

Lui nodded and smiled before ordering the waiter to start bringing food. She understood her mistress must not remember her name. Lui couldn't possibly protest against that. Her mistress' condition is not okay.

"Why did you come with me to the eastern territories?" Orlando began to ask as the waiter served their soup.

"Dad?" Abela asks a repeat of Orlando's call to Armand. He glanced at the thinly smiling Armand. If you think again, why is Armand sitting there. Where the head of the family sits.

"Mom was just curious. Mom never went there. When else can I enjoy the atmosphere of the eastern territory." Abela gave an answer so ordinary that Armand could not help but laugh.

"Why are you laughing?" Orlando looked at Armand in surprise.

"Don't mind him" said Abela, who looked closely at Armand.

"So? What's up there?" Orlando could not help his curiosity.

"Just like the capital. I err again, actually not too crowded like the capital. And Mr. Duke bought me a lot of presents."

"Mr Duke? Duke Estonia?" asked Orlando again as he tilted his head.

"I mean, the Duke is with us right now." Abela did not expect the answer would affect everyone in this dining room. They could not hide their surprise.

"Oh ... It's been a long time since you called me Duke ...." Orlando said softly and glanced at Armand with the corner of his eyes. Armand looked very calm scooping the soup.

"Are you guys fighting?" orlando whispered to Armand that Abela could clearly hear.

"Actually yes, but as you remember, we've made up. But it seems your mother doesn't think so."

"No, we didn't fight Orlando. Don't worry." Abela actually did not really want to participate in the conversation between the two of them. But, somehow he felt that he should not ignore Orlando.

"Dad stayed over, right? Tomorrow morning, can you accompany me to practice?" ask Orlando expectantly. His face was extremely radiant and blushing as he said that.

"Of course," Armand replied casually.

"You mean practicing aura?" Abela suddenly sounded enthusiastic from before. "How much is Orlando's Auramu level?"

"New Level twelve." Orlando scratched his chin with his index finger. Feeling wronged to mention his aura level.

"Yes ... Dad trained me so ... I quickly gained the skill."

"Then I'll come along." Abela confirmed it before cutting her steak.

"Come? Rehearsal?" Orlando sounded very surprised.

"Of course, what else besides sword training? Cooking?" Abela didn't mean to make a joke. But it seemed like both Armand and Orlando thought it was funny that they laughed.

"I hope Bastian is here too" Orlando said sincerely.

"Father has not returned home after returning home from the east. I think he's busy with sheet after sheet of parchment in Duke de Rhodes' office." Armand smiled seeing this child and mother have the same expression.

"No. He can't possibly not have dinner." Armand answered the question that was in Orlando and Abela's head. It was as if they had gotten used to the meaning of their facial expressions.

"I wish I could invite him to come too." Orlando sighed softly. He wanted the four of them to come together. Orlando forgot exactly when it was last.

"Let's just be legal then. And don't think too much about something that little kids shouldn't think about. Stop daydreaming and put on a sad face," said Abela Long.

Abela was only aware, her attitude must have weighed on the child's mind. After all, Orlando's whole life couldn't have been far from Abela..

"Today ... Dad sleeps in mom's room?" orlando asked, for some reason he lowered his face down.

"You want to sleep with your mother?" ask Armand.

"No ... Not so dad ... I just ...."

"Or do you want me to sleep in your room?" Armand asked again in a mischievous tone. Made Abela roll her eyes.

"I just ... Want to talk to dad a little." Orlando could not hold his head up. He is so embarrassed at the moment.

"Alright, finish the shower I'll go to your room. You can ask me anything. Everything you want to know" replied Armand. Armand looks like he's done eating. Put the knife and fork in a cross way on the plate.

Abela was slightly flabbergasted seeing the red hue on Orlando's face. Why does he look so happy. Abela tilted her head looking at the two people who exchanged affections before her.

"You are thirteen years old. Isn't it weird that you ask to sleep with your parents? Error someone who wasn't your parents?" Abela spoke out loud her mind. His son had not asked his parents to sleep since the age of eight.

Abela wiped her mouth with a napkin when she realized all eyes were looking at her. He sighed, he should not have commented anything earlier. Orlando's face looked like it wanted to cry and Armand stared at it intently. Butler and his servant seem to regret what Abela said.

"You heard it was Orlando. Looks like your mother wants me to sleep in her room." Armand said that with his casual tone. Makes Abela shy and embarrassed.

"What's? No, the waiter will prepare a guest room for you" Abela replied slightly cynically, in contrast to the red hue that radiated all over her face.

"Listen it's Orlando, your mother is now embarrassed." Armand replied to Abela's cynical tone making Abela lose in a landslide. With a hasty movement Abela got up from her seat and walked away at the follow by Hana - her servant.

"Mother angry?" ask Orlando.

"No. No need to think about it." Armand turned his wine glass and drank a little.

"Dad doesn't need to sleep in my room then. I must be so embarrassed to ask you to accompany me to sleep."

"Bastian hasn't asked me to sleep with him since he was seven. But after meeting your mother she stuck to him like glue. Why can't you do that to me if Bastian did that to your mother?" Armand smiled at Orlando and rubbed the top of his head.

"All you have to know is, I don't mind" Armand said.

Orlando smiled very widely, his radiant face very similar to his mother's face. His blue eyes glistened in the light.

"I'll sleep first then, until tomorrow morning." Orlando got down from his chair bowed slightly and walked away leaving Armand alone.

Armand's face turned stiff as Orlando's footsteps could no longer be heard. Lui poured the wine back into Armand's glass.

"Mr Duke ... I'm very worried." Lui said slowly. He doesn't need to explain any further. He was sure Armand understood what he was trying to say.

"Hn. Let me finish it." Armand gulped down his wine, he tapped the glass with his index finger. Thinking of what he could do to restore little by little Abela's memory.
