Life Becomes Duke's Beloved

Life Becomes Duke's Beloved
Starting the Expeditionary Journey

.

Abela was preparing beside her horse. Before leaving, Armand trained him to channel the aura to his physique to make it stronger. Of course this body remembers him better than Abela herself.

Abela found it easy to move with the armor she wore on her shoulders and knees. Armand gave him a pair of twin swords to protect himself. And once again, Abela was amazed by the memory of her body that easily carried out some offensive and defensive moves.

Abela could feel a piercing look in her back. They might feel like he is a burden that would disturb Armand. Because the general must be focused on protecting her.

But since when did Abela care. He was finally able to carry out his duties once again.

"You ready?" whispered Armand beside his face.

"Yes." Yeah." Abela replied firmly. He doesn't want to look scared.

Armand examined the armor Abela was wearing without speaking. He carefully tightened the armor Abela was wearing on the left shoulder. Then smiled faintly at Abela and put on an amulet (amulet) made of blue gemstones.

"I hope this protects you when I'm away from you." Armand seemed to still be worried.

"Don't worry. If I die, find a more beautiful woman." Abela was just joking, of course Armand didn't find it funny. His face was very stiff and looked flat.

"If you die ...." Armand was silent and looked Abela in the eyes. "I'll catch up with you once Bastian and Orlando can be independent. But you're not gonna let your son be an orphan, are you, Abela?"

Armand's words inexplicably made Abela's heart a little sick. Orlando's smiling face filled his eyes.

"Those words can't make me back off. Let me do it this time." Abela smiled confidently. He tidied up the front of Armand's clothes.

"From the first time I opened my eyes, I felt calm because you were near me, Armand. I mean it."

"Your words don't match the reality I saw back then." Armand's reply made Abela laugh. Of course Abela remembered how she had so desperately avoided Armand and pushed him away.

"Everything changes after we make love, right?" whispered Armand continued with a slanted smile that made Abela's face heat up.

"Until when are you gonna tease me with that?" only Abela with an annoyed facial expression.

Armand laughed as he helped Abela get on her horse.

"Don't lose my existence. You understand Madam" said Armand.

"alright. I get it." Abela answered.

Armand had already climbed onto his horse as well. Abela found the Crown Prince on her left. Come to think of who he could be who could have the honor flanked by the general and the crown prince. Not to mention when Abela looked back, Calix was there greeting her with a slight nod. And right in front of him the captain of Armand's army, led them.

The captain finally gestured to start moving, Abela's gaze focused forward. He faintly heard someone shouting.

"Madam, I'll protect you!"

Abela did not have time to search for who said that because she was already focused on riding her horse into the magic portal.

The further they drove the darker and moist the air around them. Abela narrowed her eyes focusing her gaze. Until the captain beckoned to stop their horse.

Slowly Abela pulled her saddle strap, making her horse stop in order. The stench began to smell, the longer it became clearer.

"Abela ...." Armand called Abela slowly. Abela understood and got closer to her. A roar suddenly sounded from the front. Abela took out her twin swords and prepared to put up the horses.

Three monsters began to appear. It looks like a lizard. From around his mouth dripped a green liquid. The monster walked on four legs. The scales around his neck look sharp and pointed. The monsters weren't too big but everyone knew they were dangerous.

"That monster can be killed by any means. But as much as possible avoid the green liquid in his mouth," said Abela loud enough to be heard by Cesar and Calix.

"Alright," Armand replied quite clearly.

"Dan ... They have a lot of Armand." Abela said again before finally all their ranks were chaotic.

The army spread out led by four men, Armand, Cesar, Calix and the captain. Abela doesn't know the captain's name. He clearly looks strong. Abela follows Armand to get past the monster that appeared to her. Let the other troops face it.

Now in front of Abela, dozens of monsters were staring at them. Abela was astonished to see that the Monster was like building an ally. It is unusual for this species to do so.

But Abela will not hesitate to destroy them. Abela channeled her aura to the war she held.

The fight began even without cue. Everyone just relies on their own instincts. Armand started killing monsters one by one. Abela was the same, for some reason she felt so excited. Shouting and fighting with all his might killed the monsters that approached him.

Slowly but surely all the monsters were subverted. But more and more are approaching. This monster did not succeed in harming anyone. They are very weak for the size of their species that are considered to be conquered. Making Abela realize that the monster might have been deliberately made by humans.

Abela felt something was strange. So he stopped his horse and stayed in the middle. Armand did the same and eventually all the knights who were with them also kept quiet. Strangely. The monsters stopped moving and just looked at them. Even until all the knights joined them again.

"Uncle?" Cesar called Armand in a questionable tone.

"Stttt ...." Abela made a noise to keep them quiet. They obey and stay in place. The thing that made Abela astonished at once stunned.

They may not move, but they focus on somehow feeling something is coming at them.

The wind blew in a strange way. They smell worse than what they smelled. Abela focused towards the front. Someone seemed to be approaching them. That guy's wearing a black robe. He walked like a drift.

Everyone was wary of seeing the movement of that person. A red strand of hair was seen on the side of the person's face. Abela felt familiar with the movements she made.

"Return !" Abela shouted with all her might. He hoped everyone would believe him and follow his instructions. But it's all too late. A loud explosion shook the ground beneath them.

Luckily, everyone was able to avoid the explosion. The ground vibration is getting stronger. Abela tightened her grip on the saddle of the horse. Abela gulped as slowly a huge monster loomed before them.

In between the monster's legs, Abela looked at the cloaked person closely. His robe seemed to wait for the moment that arrived to open. The man published his haughty grin. His face looks very young and the other side looks old.

Abela widened her eyes in disbelief. Red hair and pale skin. And the mole on the left side of her lips. How can it be here? Inner Ghotel. My real body and face?
