Armand was still silent behind the door. Hiding his whereabouts from the two people who were still talking inside Abela's room. Armand felt he could not enter at that moment. But he also did not want to leave where he stood.
His meeting with Calix was enough to upset him. He wanted to avoid the Estonian King and Duke. The best place not to be disturbed is this room. Armand didn't expect Bastian to be there.
Armand was stunned when he heard Bastian say his last sentence. Since when, did Bastian accept the woman? Armand smiled in silence. He could not guess the head of his son.
Armand pushed open the room door and stepped inside. Made Abela and Bastian turn towards her.
"The meeting's over?" ask Abela.
"Yes ..." replied Armand quietly. Armand looked at Bastian with the corner of his eye. The boy's face looked very flat. He didn't say that with such a face, did he?
"I avoided the real King and Duke of Estonia. They're somehow pissing me off." Armand answered the face asking Abela.
"I'm just trying not to kill anyone" Armand said.
Armand's joke sounded exaggerated. It made the two people who heard him unable to react.
"Not funny?" armand asked with a slanted smile. Made Abela roll her eyes.
"What are you talking about?" ask Armand.
"Only ordinary things" Abela answered briefly.
"How's Orlando?" this time Armand asked Bastian.
"He's desperate, of course," Bastian replied flatly.
"You said he was fine" Abela said. He clearly remembered Bastian answering if Orlando was okay as he asked earlier.
"I told you so you could take a little responsibility." Bastian replied in a flat tone.
"When am I not responsible?" ask Armand.
"Dad always lied to him, Orlando's not a kid anymore who can accept father's lies." Bastian replied in a flat tone.
"Accept ...." Armand grimaced a little. He sighed softly.
"Can you accompany her for a while?" ask Armand to Bastian.
"Dad thought since yesterday I didn't accompany her?" Bastian raised his eyebrows.
Abela smiled at the father and son debate.
"Stop answering, it means I tell you to go" said Armand flatly.
"Why?" ask Bastian again.
"Why should I answer that question?" Armand asked back.
"I'll stay here, protect mom," Bastian replied flatly. His eyes stared fiercely at Armand.
"Protect from what?" ask Armand in wonder.
"From dad, of course." Bastian glared as he said that in an annoying flat tone.
Abela finally couldn't hold back her laughter. But still, the laughter finally floated. There was something strange in his heart. Abela then suddenly fell silent. He closed his eyes. It's not fair that he's laughing right now. What about Orlando?
Abela grimaced, since when did she have so many people for her to care about like this? Abela sighed. He can't stay here for long.
"I want to rest if you allow me to" said Abela.
"You heard that, get home soon." Armand responds to Abela's words by sending Bastian home.
Bastian did not argue anymore, he left the room without saying much. Abela looked at Bastian's back before turning around and turning back at Armand.
"You need to get to Orlando right away" Abela said, prompting Armand to stop what he was doing.
"All right, I'll see him tomorrow." Armand answered quickly. He also did not want to delay any more.
"I thought you didn't care" Armand said as he turned to look at Abela's back.
"Let's know, there's something heavy in my chest. I think it's the memory of this body." Abela hasn't lied since she woke up after Orlando came. He feels uncomfortable.
"Isn't ...." Armand answered softly.
Armand massaged the base of his tired nose. There are too many things in his head. He let out a short sigh, what things should he finish first.
Armand did not hear Abela speak anymore. But Armand believes Abela hasn't slept. If he chose to finish first what Abela wanted to finish to leave forever, would he not regret afterwards?
Armand gulped his saliva nervously, he convinced himself if the woman was not his Abela. But still, imagining a body inside a coffin was a nightmare. Is Armand facing it?
Armand opened the door that connected the room with the bathroom. Some of the servants were already there. Prepare water and change clothes for him. Armand told them to leave with a movement of his hand.
Armand felt a little relaxed as his body was submerged in the warm water. He wet his head which had been heavy since. Then looked up at the ceiling that looked higher than usual.
Slowly the shadow of the scene where Abela was protecting her filled Armand's eyes. What is it that finally makes his emotions subside? Or the tears of Abela that Armand saw last night?
Armand shook his head to get rid of all the thoughts he thought were unimportant. He stood up and put on a bathrobe. As she entered the room again, Abela no longer lay down. He sat on the bed facing the window. Her ivory-white evening dress brightly reflected the moonlight and magic stones outside the veranda.
"You're not sleeping?" ask Armand.
"I can't sleep" Abela murmured softly.
"Why? Does anything hurt?" armand asked, an anxious tone escaped his words.
"Nobody is sick. I just don't think I can sleep well tonight." Abela replied calmly.
Armand thought for a moment, before finally walking closer to Abela. Slowly sat himself beside the woman. Armand stared at the pale look on Abela's face. To his usual red blushing lips turned dry and gray.
"You sure? You don't look all right" Armand said.
Abela turned her head to look at Armand, Armand's eyes no longer avoiding his gaze. And his gaze also looked normal compared to the cold gaze he had always given Abela these days.
"You feeling anxious?" ask Abela again.
"Yes ... Of course ...." Armand answered Abela's question calmly.
"You're right ... It's hard to bury this body." Abela smiled smirkingly. His look looks sad. Makes Armand stick around long enough.
What should Armand say in return. Should he say 'yes' it's very difficult. And asked him to stay.
Armand cut off their eyes and turned to look out the window.
"I don't want to be honest. I don't like to see people angry because of me." Armand lifted his shoulders.
Abela let out a short sigh hearing Armand's reply. Once again, another hope Abela was ultimately forced to leave.
"What are you thinking?" abela asked as she looked at Armand like she was looking at a distance, a distance that does not exist in the world.
Armand glanced at Abela with the tail of his eyes. Abela tilted her head to catch Abela's expression.
"Hey ..." call Armand slowly.
"Yes?"
"What made you think of sleeping with me then?" ask Armand ambiguous.
