Life Becomes Duke's Beloved

Life Becomes Duke's Beloved
Weddings

.

Today the whole city of Romano got news of the Duke's wedding which they respected. Not everyone is happy with the news. For people in the decision of Armand married at a crucial time like this is very dear.

But to those who knew Abela, they rejoiced. The Baron's residence has been busy since their mistress came home.

Abela sipped her tea, one hand was busy stroking Mossie. He looked out the window, a row of horse carriages parked in the courtyard. And the female servants were busy opening the gift boxes noisily.

"You're too noisy" Abela said, making all her servants freeze on the spot.

"Are we disturbing?" ask Anna carefully.

"No, that's an alert. I just wanted to say that I'm happy to see it" Abela said.

"We are also glad that the lady is back" Anna said sincerely.

"I don't know if you miss me that much" Abela said in a mischievous tone.

Abela's smile turned slightly grimacing as she looked at Anna's and the other servants' teary eyes.

"Come ... We shouldn't be happy" Abela said.

Anna rubbed her tears violently and checked the gift boxes again. The servants did the same. Abela looked at them a little softly and then turned her face out the window.

"Mother," Orlando called quietly at the door.

"Yes?" Abela said briefly and looked. Seeing the boy comb his hair too neatly back.

Abela raised her eyebrows, this was the first time Abela had seen Orlando look like that.

"Hm ... What's with your hair?" ask Abela.

"What-what's ugly?" reply Orlando stuttered.

"No, it just still feels weird." Abela held back her laughter.

"This ... Adult appearance. Lui said because I'm a big girl so ...." Orlando's face flushed. He wanted to shake his hair again.

Abela releases Mossie who wants to jump towards Orlando. And swiftly Orlando caught the cat into his embrace.

"Lui's right, you're a big boy now" Abela said.

Orlando walked in and sat down before Abela, looking at the boxes that had not been neatly arranged by the servants.

"This ... Did you send it?" ask Orlando.

"Yes ... Some of the nobles are also."

"Is everything ready?" ask Orlando slowly.

"All of. We're just waiting for that day to come." Abela looked at Orlando's sad face.

Abela knew she was supposed to be the real Abela who was on the sidelines and married her son's favorite adult. This marriage is just their contract marriage.

"Orlando, ask me," said Abela, still staring at Orlando.

"ask me about everything you want to know about this house. I who understand will teach you."

Hearing that Orlando looked down at Mossie on his lap.

"I get it, all right." Orlando closed his lips.

"It feels good to be back here again" said Abela sincerely.

Orlando lifted his face. Seeing Abela's smile. Then smile too.

"You can stay here forever if you want" Orlando said slowly.

Those words made Abela's smile disappear, Abela was surprised to hear that. Is it true what he heard? Orlando said that?

"I'm just talking, I don't mean anything" Orlando said, correcting his earlier remark. He looked at Abela's already smiling face and made her feel guilty.

"I'm just surprised" Abela murmured.

"Thank you" said Abela again.

Abela doesn't know since when, but she thinks Orlando is starting to look like he wants to make peace with her. Regardless of the reason she did not know, Abela did not expect it would not take long for that.

"Miss, Duke Armand is here" Lui announced.

Abela nodded and was about to stand up, "Come Orlando," Abela asked.

"No, I'm just here." Orlando muttered softly.

Abela smiled as she greeted Armand. And sit in front of him.

"Why so far away?" tanya Armand raised her eyebrows.

"Distant? It's been very close sir" Abela replied politely.

Armand's forehead wrinkled to hear Abela calling him Master.

"What's going on?" ask Abela again.

"I think we should move the wedding date forward. It looks like a war is going to happen" Armand said.

"War?"

"Yes, with Wilhemn." Armand replied casually.

"If you marry that princess from the beginning, none of this will happen" Abela murmured.

"I think it will happen. For what the princess married to a man almost two decades older than her."

"You're right" Abela laughed softly.

"Also the Duke of Estonia has been acting really annoying lately" Armand said.

"Calix?" ask Abela.

"I know you're close, but I didn't know you'd be so easy to call his name when you even called me sir." Armand crossed his arms in front of his chest, staring at Abela sharply.

"What do you mean, of course. She's the granddaughter of my granddaughter, my granddaughter," Abela said with a sigh of laughter.

"Yes he does not know that he is the grandson of your grandson, your grandson," Armand replied seriously.

Abela finally laughed hearing Armand's serious tone. Then stopped his laughter as he looked at Armand's increasingly sharp gaze.

"All right, what's he doing?" ask Abela at last.

"He's just, always against what I suggest. Since the news of our marriage has spread. He's trying to meet you in your room at the palace. He doesn't know you've come home. So it's no wonder he might show up all of a sudden."

"You're right, it looks like he likes this face too" Abela said lightly.

"I don't like it. Should I gouge out his eyes?" armand sounded terrible.

"Don't joke ..." said Abela quietly. He glanced at Armand with the corner of his eyes. "You're kidding, right?"

Armand sighed softly. He turned his face away.

"Yes, if that's what I can really do" muttered Armand.

Abela quietly swallowed her saliva. He knew, Armand loved this woman very much. So of course Armand was troubled by the affection Calix gave Abela.

"Two days, we're getting married in two days" Armand said.

Abela smiled thinly. He nodded small. He was ready to do it too. It's not bad to go after granting what Orlando wants anyway.

"On my body ... Have you got any more leads?" ask Abela.

"I'm sorry, please be patient a little more" Armand muttered without opening his mouth.

Abela nodded small in response. Abela had no doubts about Armand's abilities. Only, Abela felt a little if Armand sometimes wanted to avoid the topic. But he was not ready to ask why either. So Abela just kept quiet.

No more conversations happened that afternoon. Orlando also did not catch up with Abela and met Armand. Many questions Abela held. Until Armand returns home. Abela was still sitting in her place. He didn't know what was troubling his mind.

If he really wanted all of this to be finished quickly, he should have pressed Armand even more intensely. But sometimes he also seems to want to buy time. I don't know for any reason. Abela knew she shouldn't have those thoughts. But still he couldn't help it.

What did he feel for Armand? What will happen to Armand after he leaves? How long will he be with that man?

All of a sudden all of those questions were spinning in his head. Then he stood up and ran. He hoped Armand hadn't left his house. He wants to express what he feels and thinks.

"Armand !" call Abela a bit loud when Armand is already on horseback.

Armand stopped his movements when he saw his bride-to-be running towards him. He was astonished of course. But he could only wait until Abela was closer to him.

"Armand ...." Abela called Armand again. His breath was blown away from running.

"I ...." Abela looked up at Armand on the horse. He looked at her confused and astonished.

"I guess ... I love you" Abela said with a smile.
