Life Becomes Duke's Beloved

Life Becomes Duke's Beloved
Abela's Idea

.

Armand woke up in a pretty good mood, he felt confident with today. Armand looked at Abela who was still sleeping beside him. Her beautiful face filled Armand's gaze. Armand smiled faintly before peeping at the side of his head. And get out of bed.

Armand cleaned himself in the bathroom where the tub had been filled with water by the servants at the Calix residence, changed into soldier clothes and headed straight to the training ground. He's wearing his armor over there.

"Your Majesty, please sit here." Calix pointed to one empty chair that lined up with a long dining table, all the soldiers had breakfast there.

Armand began to eat his soup and bread. Strange, there was no tension at all. He felt very relaxed and calm. Maybe today will really go as smoothly as they expected.

Armand was already sitting on the saddle of his horse. He looked at Calix and the soldiers lined up one by one. Today they will finally hunt down the monsters that have been in unrest for several weeks.

Armand gave the captain instructions to lead his soldiers. Before he actually left the castle, he glanced at the window of the room he occupied. He clearly saw Abela staring at him from there. The woman was still wearing her nightgown, revealing a look of a very satisfied face. He smiled and nodded at Armand. After that, Armand turned around and drove his horse.

"I hope they all bring good news" Alfred-butler Calix said as he poured Abela a glass of water.

Abela did not reply, she still enjoyed her breakfast quietly.

"Sorry, we didn't mean not to wake you up." Alfred said again, he was very busy preparing all the things. He forgot to send a maid to wake Abela up.

"It's okay Alfred, I said goodbye to Armand last night. And this morning through the window." Abela smiled, she did not want to make Alfred think that she was upset just because of that.

"What if you go around in our town mistress. It's not as grand as the capital, but here we have a lot of good restaurants. Their food is delicious." Alfred gave an interesting suggestion. Abela nodded and smiled at him again.

"I will prepare his chariot" Alfred said before disappearing from Abela's sight.

Armand stopped the pace of his horse as he felt that he had to be vigilant in the area. This forest strangely had a tree that looked rare and was quite far away. Something must have ruined some tree.

"You heard !" armand's orders screamed a little. "Duke Calix stay with me as planned, you all spread out and get the monster trapped with the sharp strings you're carrying. When you're ready, Duke, throw me in the monster's mouth." Armand looked at Calix seriously, he was not even being formal anymore. And Calix just nodded in response.

All the warriors spread all over the side of the forest, the clattering of their horse legs was clearly heard as they stepped on the twigs and dried leaves. A long howl was heard at a very close distance.

Armand prepared on his horse, his special sword he had held in his right hand. Shining blue, his aura also shone on the armor he was wearing.

The soldiers also added their aura to the strings they carried, they continued to be in formation. Several times the monster's body was cut into strings, but it could easily regenerate. Armand focused on that part of the monster's mouth, its fangs sticking out.

"Now !" Armand exclaimed to be ready to jump off his horse, while Calix stuck his magic formula right on Armand's back. With the pressure from Calix's strength, Armand was thrown into the air. He spread out his greatsword and slashed two monster fangs.

The monster's long howl resounded deafeningly. Calix turned his magic direction so that Armand could easily reach the monster's head. With a single leap Armand pierced the upper jaw of the moving monster and groaned in pain. His fangs are not regenerating. Armand was still on top of his muzzle when the huge monster suddenly fell silent. The red monster's pupils slowly turned white. The last the monster saw was Armand's back which was very close to his eyes.

Armand managed to land on the ground before the monster fell.

"I can't believe we made it in one try" Calix said, as he approached Armand, standing before him. They looked at each other like they were discussing in silence.

Not only were the two of them stunned on the spot, the soldiers were still fixated on where they stood. Still channeling their aura on the sharp strings they held.

"The monster ... Already ma-dead?" said one of the soldiers stuttered a little. It was surprising that they did it so quickly.

"The monster, we've already defeated !" exclaim the warrior captain from the residence of the Estonian Duke.

Amidst the cheers of the soldier who was proud and happy for having defeated the monster that made the movement of the people narrow. Armand was still standing in place, staring at the ground beneath his feet. His armor didn't even hit blood at all. But since when? Abela knows things about monsters?

Armand's gaze moved from Calix's feet to his flat face.

"It's just a coincidence" Calix muttered as if reading Armand's head.

Armand sighed and smiled faintly, it is certainly impossible this is no coincidence. There was no way Abela knew about these monsters. Think Armand.

Even so, for some reason he clenched his grip on his sword. His face hardened as he made his way towards the horse he was about to ride back to the Estonian Duke's castle. I want to see Abela soon.

...----------------...

Abela enjoys the atmosphere of the city, much has changed from this city. Of course, for hundreds of years he had just returned. Abela smiled at the wildflower sales girl.

Abela was staring at the focus of the jewelry sold on the roadside when there was a commotion she heard.

The big gate of the territory of the Duke of Estonia is wide open. And all the soldiers led by Calix and Armand went inside. They announced that they had successfully subverted the monster that made everyone restless.

"That means we should thank Prince Armand?" Abela heard someone whispering beside her.

Abela knew that there were many people here who hated Armand, but now they couldn't allow it if Armand was that good. These people must be very upset. On one hand they did not want to assume Armand on the other they owed him a favor.

Armand couldn't stop thinking about Abela. How could Abela's idea be so telling that they could solve everything quickly without any losses. The assault strategy was indeed Armand who thought about it but still would not be this easy if Abela did not give the idea to slash the fangs or stab the upper jaw of the monster.

While his mind was glued to it, the corner of his eyes warding off the golden color scattered in the wind. Once again Armand was trapped into Abela's sky-colored gaze.

Abela's. Armand muttered that name in his heart. Instantly everything he had thought of was gone when he saw Abela commenting on her smile. The woman waved her hand.

Enough to get Armand off his horse.
