Life Becomes Duke's Beloved

Life Becomes Duke's Beloved
The Castle's Underground Room

.

Abela doesn't remember how long she's been here. There is not the slightest gap that can be a determinant of time. His throat was dry from not drinking a single bit. And his stomach was sore. The figure that possessed his original body had not returned yet. Abela could surmise, there was a certain limit in the use of mana to perform magic formations and move space-time.

Abela wanted to fall asleep again, but the pain in her hands and feet kept her awake. Abela became more alert when she heard any sounds. Even the sound of chains tying his hands and feet had shocked him from time to time.

Abela grinned at the thought that her death might come again. Of course if that figure wanted to enter Abela's body he wouldn't have killed her by hurting her body. Making him hungry is the right way.

Abela heard a voice again, she opened her eyes weakly. All he saw was a black cat approaching Ghotel's body. And sit beside him quietly.

Abela smiled faintly, she remembered where this place was. He remembered why this place was so familiar. This was the basement of his castle that he had always been lazy to clean up first. And the cat, Abela's eyes softened at him. How could the cat still be here even after two years Abela left it.

"Messie?" Abela called the cat's name weak.

Abela chuckled at the sight of the animal looking shocked. He looked at Abela now. There was something connected as their eyes stared. Slowly the cat approached Abela. Each step became bigger. And when he was in front of Abela. Their height is parallel.

"I thought you were Mossi" Abela said. He looked at the fangs and pointy teeth of the big cat as it growled.

"Mossi my son .." said Abela Lirih. It's better, if he dies with someone.

"If I die again, go out and find a new friend. Why are you still trapped in this castle?" Abela continued to speak weakly. Abela believes Mossi may be confused but the animal is not a stupid animal. Only Abela knows her name.

Mossi's expression slowly softened and tried to bite the chain that bound Abela, making Abela chuckle at the sight of him in despair.

"You know .. there's no need. No need to do that." Abela smiled gently at the sight of the cat's watery eyes. The monster he created to accompany him first, looked sad.

Mossi growled again and opened his jaw. It was pretty scary to see it up close. Somehow he was after an amulet attached to the front of Abela's body. Abela remembers Armand pairing them before they left.

Mossi stuck his teeth in there and tore them apart. Somehow a yellow light emanated from the blue colored stone and in an instant the cat was like it was sucked into that light. Is transportation magic?

Abela laughed weakly, Mossi smart. Abela was not even aware of the magic that was on the amulet. If Mossi did with Abela's body, he probably would have transported without his hands and feet.

"I raised him well" Abela murmured before falling asleep.

Abela had no idea how long she had been asleep. But clearly he knew he was not alone. The figure had possessed Ghotel's body again. Walking as it floated around Abela, exhaling a foul odor from her body.

"You're not dead yet?" ask the figure coldly.

"As you can see," Abela replied weakly.

"I can be patient" he said again.

"You gave up on that witch's body?" abela asked sarcastically.

"She must be alive" murmured the figure beside Abela.

Abela did not reply, Abela fell silent, looking down at the floor.

"You're dead?" ask that figure.

"Not ... You need to be more patient." Abela chuckled weakly.

"Goodoo. The first thing I had to do was prepare water and food. So when I woke up in that body I didn't feel any pain" said the figure again.

"I'm curious ... How does it feel to get inside that rotting body?" ask Abela.

"I'm not here forever. I'm just going in and out. Not very comfortable. As you can see."

"So you mean to trap yourself inside my body?" ask Abela again.

"You're right. It means I am very close to my enemy. And can start finishing them off one by one."

Abela now understood the purpose of the figure and moreover, she finally knew the reason God made her return to this mortal world. The god was worried that the memories of his body could be read by others. No matter how great the Ghotel is, there will be something better than him. Why bother making him alive again.

"Heh .. there are people approaching this castle ..." said the figure slowly.

"Then so quickly run away and leave the body here," said Abela trying to fool him.

Abela laughed weakly hearing that.

"Did I just cut you down so you could die?"

"Good idea ... Why don't you do it sooner" Abela challenged.

"You ... So bold. I like your attitude ... I should go see my guest ..." the figure said softly before walking to transport. Leaving Abela alone.

Armand fought relentlessly to kill the monsters and continued to enter the forest towards the castle the witch was in. No one dared to stop him. Except he's the one who finally told them all to rest. He was forced to swallow his food because otherwise he would die silly without being able to achieve his goal.

For two days Abela disappeared. Frightened him. What happened to Abela, what if she was late. What was the purpose of that person taking Abela from him. All those questions revolved around Armand's head nonstop.

They rested near the river, not setting up tents just eating and drinking. All of the knights who went along with Armand seemed to be very understanding. They understand they have to move again.

The sound of twigs being stepped on and a small roar made them wary. They stood holding their swords. When they are ready. They saw a pair of red eyes shining in the darkness. The owner of the eye slowly showed himself.

Armand was stunned to see a monster resembling that black big cat. Their views meet. Armand hinted everyone to be quiet and wait. I don't know why he didn't feel like he could attack at the time.

The monster approached Armand and placed something near his feet. Armand took it. The blue gemstone on the amulet that Armand pinned on Abela's shirt before leaving. Armand clasped the stone and looked at the monster again.

"You ... Will take me to his place?" ask Armand. He may look crazy now. He's talking to a monster.

But the fact that the monster seemed to understand his words was even more shocking. The monster nodded and turned around asking Armand to follow him. Immediately Armand and his troops climbed onto their respective horses and followed where the monster was running.

The route that Armand and his troops took was not the route they knew, certainly not the one or two times they came here - to the witch's castle - but they never knew the route this time. Not too long ago they rode their horses and they were already close to the castle. Waking up monsters that seem to be asleep.

Armand and his troops were on guard on their horses. And the monster that took them insisted that Armand follow him. Armand's feelings are divided in two, between accompanying his troops against the monsters that are here or following the monster.

"Duke ... Go !" Cesar shouted back Armand from his reverie.

"Go ... Leave this to us" Cesar smiled at his uncle. I don't know why it looks more mature than a few hours ago. Armand smiled faintly before descending from his horse and ascending into the cat monster's body.

The monster easily jumped over the tall gate and broke through the back door of the castle. If necessary the monster destroys anything that stands in front of it.

When they were about to arrive, a figure who had penetrated into Ghotel's body confronted them.

"I can't believe you betrayed me to a little cat" said the figure as if humming.

Armand clasped his sword which glowed blue.

"Where's Abela?" armand asked in a low and cold tone.

"We meet again Duke," said the figure.

"Meet again? I'm not sure I've ever met that horrible face?"

"We fought two years ago" replied the figure offended.

"What did you say?" ask Armand again.

"I'm a Ghotel."

Armand laughed at the figure's reply. Who he dared to confidently call himself that great magician.

"You? A ghotel? Look, whoever you are in that rotten body. You'll never be her." Armand said coldly at the end of his laughter.

The figure seemed to be more timid than Armand thought. He performed transportation magic right before Armand moved to attack him. But Armand wasn't bothered by that. Because the monster he was driving was already speeding up again and smashing one more door. They slowly descended the stairs turning underground. There's not the slightest light here. As he got closer to the room, Armand heard the sound of chain clanking.

Armand widened his eyes seeing Abela tied to a chain. Abela's head was weakly drooping. Armand descended from the monster's body and ran towards it.

"Abela !" call Armand a little hard.

Abela slowly opened her eyes, she revealed her weak smile.

"You're coming a little late, Armand."
