In a family, the roles between the two parents are sometimes the same but sometimes different. The most noticeable difference between fathers and mothers is the way they teach their children.
Mothers tend to teach their children something through feelings. Either good advice or a touching story, or the patience of repeating a sentence so that his child understands. While the father taught his son without much talk.
"Are you actually sleeping with your girlfriend in bed?" adji asked while sitting with Abhimanyu, without being disturbed by anyone.
"Hm." Abhimanyu just muttered admit it.
"You know Papa's not a free s3x supporter, right? Even times are different, Papa doesn't care. My people my rule."
"Hm."
"So, you agree to marry your boyfriend?"
"Hm."
"okay." Adji was not unaware of any irregularities. The child in front of her was clearly not seen asking for permission to marry but rather looked like doing so with chaotic emotions.
But Abhimanyu's life is Abhimanyu's life. Whether he made a mistake out of emotion, made a thoughtless decision, or whatever it was, Adji would let it go. Adji is the kind of father who doesn't mind seeing his son go to jail if he makes a mistake that makes him deserve to go to jail.
Adji also won't ask how his college. Abhimanyu has his own brain thinking about how his future is so it's up to him to want how.
Adji is worried, of course, but once again Abhimanyu's life is Abhimanyu's life. He has to worry about himself.
And Juwita knew Adji would definitely do that. Her husband is a hard man if it has dealt with the independence of his son.
"Mas, we don't see a better candidate for Abi, maybe?" ask Juwita the night after that. Because there has been no talk since. "I mean, I don't think her boyfriend is that good."
"That's her own responsibility, Juwita." Adji answered with eyes focused on the television. "If he chooses a bad life partner, he himself will suffer the consequences."
"But we're his parents, Mas. I mean, we're not going to—"
"I do not want to interfere with his choice," said Adji firmly. And if he already calls himself me, that means Adji is reluctant to negotiate. "He's big. He's not a kid."
Juwita clenched her mouth, obedient to be quiet.
"Gebiarin he himself does not mean not love him," whispered Adji softly. "We parents do not need to be too fond of the way we love children. Unless he's a kid and can't walk or eat by himself. Okay?"
Juwita nodded, closing her eyes in her husband's arms.
Various emotions raged in Juwita's mind. He looked up, looking at Adji's face to realize that he was very, very in love with this man.
Juwita loves Adji since .. probably since a few days after their impromptu wedding. Juwita never thought that Adji was too old for her or that Adji made her feel like marriage was boring because of their age difference.
"What are you squirming?" Adji, who was aware of Juwita's gaze, looked down. "You are again seduced? Hm? Want to play before the boys get on, slip on the bed again?"
Juwita gave a small laugh and happily accepted it. In every touch and hug of Adji, Juwita realizes that she really wants Abhimanyu to stop with her feelings.
Juwita wants Abhimanyu to realize that Juwita is happy with her father, becoming his mother's successor.
So when Adji fell asleep enjoying everything, Juwita went from the room to meet Abhimanyu.
"This is your last chance." Jowita always tries not to say this. "Bi, if you don't erase everything, I might not come back to your life."
Abhimanyu smiled wryly. "I told you I was leaving."
"Well, why should I be the one you're staying in?" Juwita. "I will leave you. We will leave you. I'm not saying I'm going to give Mas Adji, Banyu, Cetta, Lila, Nia and Yunia to you."
Juwita kept shaking. He didn't mean to spoil Abhimanyu anymore. If anyone has to go, it's Juwita and all her family.
"Also, I'm gonna say something." Juwita smiled wryly. "I don't like you to squirm like that. Frankly, I hate."
Juwita turned away, leaving Abhimanyu looking at her as if Juwita was a moon in the darkness of the night.

dear reader, I once said when this work continued to season two, most likely this story will 'change'. in season 2, Juwita is not a new girl and has been fully part of the adji family.so there will indeed be many changes following the development of the character.
