58. Must Think Again
Adji walked quickly away from the hospital parking lot, into the ER where Juwita was. There was already Abhimanyu, Banyu even Cetta who accompanied while Juwita lay in the gurney.
"Father!" Cetta exclaims.
But Adji couldn't reply to her, instantly grabbing Juwita's cold hand.
Face swollen. Incredibly swollen, signifying the blow he got instead of playing hard.
"Can't I believe it?" Adji whispers bitterly. "You see the guy? You know who?"
Juwita shook her head, but her expression was blank, making Adji sad.
While Banyu who knew that it was actually a blow for him could only look down.
Banyu's oath did not understand where the madman came from to beat him. Maybe Banyu's mouth does make people rise in blood, but Banyu is quite sure his mouth is not until at least teaching it makes people revenge.
The problem is, Juwita's the one who's affected.
Banyu.
"Sorry." Banyu looked down trembling. Feeling so responsible that you want to cry. "Juwita, lak—"
"Shh." Juwita shook her head. "You haven't eaten yet, have you? Go to the dining canteen. There, Abi, ajakin and you eat."
In this situation, they had to go crazy and just refused Juwita's orders. Abhimanyu obediently embraces Banyu's shoulder, and pulls Cetta away.
Adji watches his children leave before returning to focus on Juwita.
"I didn't tell Mom that your dad. They're afraid they're panicking."
"Thank you."
Adji frowned in frustration. Looks amazingly depressed because of Juwita's condition. His breath was rough, holding Juwita's hand even though his own hand was cold. "I'm sorry. I'm not taking care of you. Sorry."
"Don't say that." But Juwita pulls Adji, asking him to hug her out of fear.
That's sore. Incredible pain to the heart. A stranger suddenly came beating and trampling him.
And somehow Juwita felt it was all for her, not targeting Banyu. Or, I don't know. Juwita doesn't understand.
Juwita meant, about the terror, then suddenly he was beaten for no reason, it was all scary.
He was never treated like that. Brushed or belittled ever, perhaps often, but to the point of playing physically, terrorizing as if Juwita was a fugitive, it was terrifying.
"I'm taking care of you now." Adji hugged his wife tightly. Patting his back and feeling well by sobs Juwita. "Don't cry, honey."

Abhimanyu honestly did not expect to see this in his life. On TV there are sometimes news of murder for trivial reasons, but to see his family become victims of foreign violence, who can believe?
Adji has asked for the perpetrator to be found and the police move to find him as quickly as possible. The thing is, what is the motive of the person?
"Devents." Cetta pulls Abhimanyu's hand out of the daydream. "Sister Juwita why are people beaten?"
"...."
"Cetta doesn't want you to go away like Mama."
Next to Abhimanyu, Banyu daydreamed. Cetta's faint-sounding speech actually made Banyu gasp for goosebumps.
Her fault.
If Juwita doesn't protect Banyu, she won't experience it.
"He who dives in your adek." Banyu would not want to roll back his memory of Mama. "Good guy. It was a lot of the way he laughed. You guys take care, huh? Mom likes her very much."
Banyu felt like vomiting. Not out of disgust, but out of a strange feeling in his chest.
"You're like the neremehin your mama's talking about."
"Your mama says, if there's no Juwita, Cetta doesn't exist. Always Mama said. You guys understand what that means? Diliat again, I don't think so."
"You don't understand because all you see Cetta is fine, take home with Mama who told me while crying. You guys must think 'lebay ah that's doang'."
Banyu fell face down on the hospital cafeteria table, slowly shaking his shoulder.
Seeing his sister crying like that, Abhimanyu just threw away his face.
They always see the services of Juwita on Cetta is trivial. Not to be underestimated, but it does seem like nothing has happened.
But now, seeing Juwita get so hurt, maybe they should rethink.
