The longer Adji lives, the more he realizes that no matter how much you love someone, boredom and disgust can exist. And Adji felt it firsthand as he cheated on Melisa whom he loved, even now, in the corner of his heart.
But, Adji learned one new thing from this incident. That maybe, he lost to his son if only Juwita did not consider the child as a 'child'.
It is possible, if Juwita only considers Abhimanyu as 'the son of her husband' and not 'the son', she will be captivated. Abhimanyu's feeling looked so great that Adji was speechless.
"Jewith."
Perhaps this is a signal for Adji to act more aggressively instead of waiting for the boredom to come and be patient.
"Mass?"
Adji's gaze was on her. His eyes, his lips, the small black spots under his eyes.
Adji was jealous. Not because of fear Juwita was taken from him but why not him who felt the strong love? What if Juwita gets bored later, feeling that Adji loves her in a very ordinary way and just tells her to give birth to a child for the sake of a child?
What if that great love came from someone else and Juwita was tempted by it?
"Mass? You why?"
"Sorry." Adji whispered weakly. "Sorry just tell me to be patient."
Juwita blinked in surprise. Not really understanding because Adji suddenly said it for no reason. Although then Juwita thought that maybe Adji was sad because Abhimanyu would not come back again.
"Mas, I should be the one apologizing. I'm sorry you're with your son."
"Abimanyu is not a child. He should have chosen his own life." Adji touched Juwita's cheek. "Mas didn't talk about it."
".... Keep what?"
Adji looked down, kissed his wife's little lips.
"You didn't take the road but ...."
Juwita tilted her face. "But?"
"I mean kids?" Juwita hasn't caught him. "It's better to take the kids, too, Mas. All family holidays."
Yes, family holidays and with the kids are certainly very good. But Adji wanted something different. Something that made him absolutely certain that he bound the heart of this woman and not just about duty.
Don't just 'kids' she's sticking up for Adji. Don't just because of the 'debt' he's trying to keep loving Adji.
The more Adji thought about it, the more he felt like a loser. Abhimanyu did look crazy and stupid when he loved Juwita, but the passionate feeling in his heart was something pleasant that he did not stop.
Isn't that what is between them?
"It looks good that we're moving house." Adji decides not to say it first because Juwita seems too used to being a 'housewife' to the point that she forgets what it's like to be a girl in love. "Temenin I'm looking for a house, how?"
"Eh? How sudden?"
"Change the mood."
"But I'm at home here, Mom. Time suddenly moved? Don't want ah. It's just here."
"Jewith." Adji smile. "Husband's decision has to be answered?"
Juwita pouting. Her lips pursed and seemed to expect Adji to say so, but since Adji was just smiling, she finally sighed.
"Yes, Mas, karepmu."
Adji laughed a little. Pulling Juwita's body in his arms, rubbing the darling of his wife's back.
He was very small to be honest but he had actually survived so far. Adji wanted to give her the happiness that made all her pain it was just like a momentary nightmare that was very easily forgotten over time.
Now it's Adji's turn to show his love.
