CHAPTER 24: DEVELOPING A STRATEGY.

"The psychophagos had been circling the left side of the forest, the last place he saw Gara" Jack said, lowering his binoculars, and giving it to Ardan.

Ardan brought the binoculars closer to his eyes, "You're right, he's still there."

"Stop spying on that thing, aren't you hungry?" The voice came from Edward's mouth.

Ardan and Jack let out a long sigh, they turned around and entered the tent made by Chlea using only a cloth that could not penetrate anything like sound and light. The cloth was hung on four ropes. Inside the tent, they had a not-so-large lantern, enough to fit in Selena's waist bag. They were grateful that Selena brought the lantern for lighting and as a warmer.

The sun had set, the atmosphere of the forest was extremely cold. They're getting ready for dinner.

"It was very cold tonight, very lucky that we had these feathers" Chlea said.

"Are any of you carrying blankets?" Selena asked while rubbing her hands to keep her warm. The others shook their heads.

"The fabric is not working so well, I think also can not penetrate the ambient temperature" said Gara finished with his food.

"I think only of sound and light. I wonder, is it not translucent water or fire as well?" Chlea's confused.

Because he woke up from his seat, stretching his muscles because they did not move at all after being bandaged by Selena. "Lycanthrope has a body temperature that can protect itself from cold temperatures like this. One of us should warm up Selena."

He took out his degger and prepared to go down under the tree. It was realized Ardan, and immediately stopped him, "Where are you going? Remember your wounds."

"It's okay, the wound is no longer painful" said Gara while tearing the bandage in his body with his degger, and turning the body to reveal his back. "Look, it's drying out."

"Hahaha that's funny, that part of the wound is missing feathers" Jack laughed.

He jumped, but he didn't forget how tall the tree was. On some of his trunks, he perched, and swung until he reached the surface of the ground. Fortunately, he made no sound at all.

He was about to perform a ritual that Andrea did during the dorm.

"Even I don't know the sentence I have to say for this ritual, I just know the meaning" Gara told Saga.

"You can be telepathic with Andrea, if you can be telepathic with your brother. Just try it" Saga replied.

As she concentrated on connecting with Andrea, it worked.

"Andrea, it's me, Gara. How are you guys doing?"

"The way? Wow, we can telepathize. We are not safe, we are hiding" Andrea said across the street.

"Oh, so. Can you tell me, the words you said while performing the degger ritual?" Pinta Gara's.

"Of course, thank goodness I remember. But, what for?"

"I'd like to try it, without the use of this degger, we won't make it here" explained Gara.

"Alright, listen to me carefully."

After Andrea said that sentence, Gara thanked him and decided to telepathically. Because standing in front of the moon up there, the light is enough to hit Gara clearly.

"How to perform the ritual, huh?" Selena asked who was watching Gara alone.

"It seems so" replied Edward watching him also from above.

For putting his degger on the ground. He took out one of his claws, and injured his own palm. His blood fell just above the surface of Degger.

Afterwards, he turned towards the lake, "There's no way I can use the water to wash this degger."

For lifting the degger, and watching it very seriously. Suddenly, there was a thunder above. The sound of lightning made Psychophagos scream. Everyone was shocked, and so was Gara. The rain is so heavy. The water made the blood in the gurger start to disappear.

"Ah, it's fitting. And our playmates are surprised there" by seeing the not-so-suspicious movements of Psychophagos. He protected himself with his enormous pair of wings. Falling asleep under his own wings.

Gara returned to his degger, then he uttered the sentence to end the ritual, "Este ypo tin entoli mou, fygete otan yparchei elpida kai epistrepste otan teleiosete." The language is derived from Greek, which means the same as Andrea says.

After that, Gara immediately threw his degger into the tree, right hitting one of its branches close to the tent. Even Selena and the others were shocked to notice the degger. Because without thinking immediately concentrated to move himself to the branch of the tree.

Very quickly, not even in sight, Gara disappeared from below and appeared on the tree branch just a blink of an eye. Being a little surprised it worked, he immediately pulled out his degger on the branch of the tree, stuffed it back into his waist bag, and entered the tent quickly. Fortunately, his body was not too wet.

"That was amazing, and it worked!" Pekik Jack amazed.

She sighed, "I was surprised by the lightning and the rain. Looks like our friend is sleeping down there 'cause he doesn't like the rain."

"Let it go, I'm dizzy because of the creature" Ardan said back with his food.

She transformed herself into a wolf. Because I put myself to sleep where it was back. Even because the place was not enough for his body, Gara had to hang his tail under the tree.

"You're at will, think of that big body of yours" Edward was upset because his face had been hit by Gara's tail.

"Don't talk with a mouth full like that" Chlea said. That made Edward eat like everyone else.

When Selena was done with her meal, she sat closer and closer to the lantern to warm her body. Because the one who had noticed him finally said, "Selena, come here. I can warm you."

Actually even the reason Gara transformed back into his wolf form because of Selena. She thought, Selena is very sorry. If only his Lycanthrope nature had appeared, he would not have been as cold as that.

Selena approached Gara, and sat down beside her hairy belly. Because she felt the warmth, without thinking anymore, Selena immediately leaned on Gara's body which was really warm.

"I want to sleep there too!" Jack who had finished eating immediately laid himself down as Selena did.

"I can't miss a part!" This time Ardan joined in. They look very comfortable.

"I think we should rest for tomorrow. Chela, you are also welcome" said Gara as he lifted his tail which began to be hit by rain water. His tail filled part of the room.

"Hahaha, happily" Chela just laid herself down like the others.

"Edward, don't you want to join? There's still room next to Selena" Gara said as she put her head to sleep.

"I'm not cold."

Because of making sure the others had fallen asleep, no wonder why so quickly, they were completely exhausted.

"Hey, you like Selena, don't you?"

Gara's words made Edward choke while drinking, "What the fuck are you?"

"Oh, no huh? All right, I don't have any rivals"

"You don't mess around" Edward said unconsciously. When he found out what he was saying, Edward turned his face away.

"Just relax, it's a secret between men. I won't tell anyone else, especially Selena" Gara said.

"Good."

"I'm not going to like it, so don't put on a face and act dislikeful of me when there's something between me and Selena. I don't live to find my own Mate."

"I'll hold your word, if you're really interested in him, I'll hate you so much whether you're my own Alphah or even my future King" Edward said.

"Hm. Now, take a break" Because it's easy to shift Edward's seat to Selena's side with her tail. Edward was lying down. And just like that, Gara enveloped them with her tail. They spend the night in the trees, waiting for the rain to subside, waiting for the sun to shine again, and settle their affairs with the Psychophagos below.

Sunlight appeared slowly between the leaves of the tree. It made Edward open his eyes, and woke up to hear a noise. He realized that the feathers and warmth he used to sleep last night had disappeared.

"Why?"

Edward stretched his body, then woke up to look for the whereabouts of the man he was looking for. He looked at the last time Psychophagos was seen, the creature was still deep in its wings. Then, he looked to the source of the sound, further away from the tree. That is where the man he seeks is.

Edward came down from the tree, walked slowly towards Gara. The man was doing something with his teleportation ability using that degger. He throws his degger into every tree, and so on.

"What are you doing so early in the morning like this?" He asked by noticing an old bark curving near the tree, there were many water reservoirs that were quite used for them.

Gara, realizing Edward's presence, throws his degger into a tree next to Edward, then teleports nearby.

"Training my teleportation speed, and a few other things."

"It looks like the rain has just finished, and the creature is really asleep" Edward said crouched down and washed his face with the water.

He pulled his degger from the trunk of the tree, and noticed it in his hand. He only hoped that the plan he had laid out all night would work.

Everyone woke up already, preparing themselves. Of course, they have to save on food supplies, because no one knows the day ahead. They ate only a few fruits that were in the trees. Still shirtless, and covered only in their wolf fur.

For painting an original picture on the ground, like a sketch of a plan. "As we know, Psychophagos have poor smell, good hearing, and more vision than anything else. He will be very focused on something that he does not like or that the teacher says, vindictive. Fortunately, I know what his weakness is."

Chlea looked at Gara seriously, "Wolf howling?"

Gara shook her head, "The weakness is in her own ability. He is very fast, but he will lose focus so easily because of his hearing and vision. Remember, when he was chasing Chlea and I suddenly howled? He immediately chased me, hunting me all out, but when I suddenly changed the direction of my run, all he noticed was my movement. He paid no attention to his own speed or the surroundings, until he hit the tree hard."

"Ah, I know now. He was very similar to a grumpy bull that could not be controlled" Ardan interrupted.

"How can a bull be the same as a Psychophagos?" Edward asked looking at Ardan confusedly half strangely.

"You don't know? Bulls do not like red objects. The man who played with him used a large red cloth to provoke the anger of the bull into heading the red cloth with his horns. But it's just a trick" explained Ardan while bragging.

"And it's the trick that I've carefully planned to get us in the middle. Thank you Ardan for the explanation" said Gara.

"Well, what should we do?" Ask Jack.

"Take a good look at this" Gara said as he woke up looking at Psychophagos far away. For throwing his degger at high speed, until it hit one of the tree trunks near Psychophagos there.

"A good throw, it's a pity that the lake is so big and the island is so far away" Selena said.

For teleporting to where her degger landed. He pulled out the degger and threw it back towards everyone gathered. The Degger landed on the ground, almost hitting Edward's face.

"He. and his reckless ability." muttered Edward in surprise.

He noticed the two wings of Psychophagos covering him. A lot of smoke came out of the pair of hot wings because of the rain drops that fell from the leaves or tree trunks around it. The man felt a little pity, with the dislike of this creature with water.

He took the rocks on the ground, and several times pelted Psychophagos with stones in his hand. His efforts to make the creature wake up finally succeeded. Psychophagus opened his wings wide, and stretched his thin body like bones. When those glowing white eyes opened, he was clearly facing Gara.

"Good morning, my bull."
