We just sat together on the balcony, spent the morning practice time before class, enjoying the cool breeze after the rain last night. Even the sun is now covered by the peaceful clouds above. Not a sign of rain, but it seems that nature itself understands that today is special.
They still couldn't believe it when I said Light was a bird man. Until Light transforms, they think it's just my wits. Though bewitching course I certainly can not.
"Birds do exist, but half-crows?!" Look, Chlea still doesn't believe it.
"Wait, that half-crow man doesn't exist?" Ask Dylan.
"Look, they certainly exist. They included the Fairy Clan nation. But when viewed from the form of Light transformations, I know they are perfect" Edward said while watching Light from end to end.
"Oh, you mean the legs and some feathers on his limbs?" I pointed at the feathers that were on his neck to his chest, behind his back, his elbows, until around the waist covered his genitals.
"Yes. He's not a real bird man. Of course, if he was a bird man, his human form would be one hundred percent human" explained Dylan.
"Light, do you remember anything when you were a kid?" Chlea asked.
"Light little?" He tilted his head, like he was confused.
"Yes, when Light was little" Selena repeated.
"Light small... Garas.. Little light?"
I rubbed my forehead while hiding my smile. Light is really adorable. Others even laughed, comforted by it.
"Maybe he doesn't remember, I'll just look at his past" I said.
I dominated my Vampire side and concentrated on looking at Light's past. In my vision, I only saw a dry plain. There a horse has become a carcass, and on it is surrounded by a flock of crows.
One of them is Light. Little birds trying to survive. But suddenly, a high-speed spear shot out from the other direction, hitting the flying crows. They split up and then flew away. But in part, dead hit the tip of his spear.
At that moment I heard the sound of running feet, so much. I turned and was surprised to see many children in all-white uniforms running towards the horse carcass.
"You're so mean."
"Yes, there's no need to hurt them either."
My eyes focused on a child who was getting a lot of attention by his friends, the child who threw the spear.
"Oh come on, the birds can lay eggs again" he said.
The boy was dark-skinned with white hair. His golden eyes indicate that he is a Lycanthrope.
"Who first interfered with our field? Even we haven't cleaned up this horse from last week" he said as he walked to retrieve his spear.
He was surprised to see the little Light whose one wing was hit by the heavy iron. He quickly picked up his spear with Light. But he really has no guilt. He pulled one of Light's wounded wings, the way Light hung in the air.
"He's dying."
"Take it off."
The boy shook Light, "You are so noisy."
"Theodore!"
Another group of children came from a different direction. They wore the same uniform, but it was as if they were not men in the group of boys who turned out to be named Theodore.
They came to him. The boy who shouted Theodorus' name walked with the first big step. He was a fair-skinned man, with long shoulder-length hair in brown braids.
"It turns out the loser Christopher" said Theodorus, who called him earlier with a dislike look.
"We were told to get together, but you're playing here."
Theodore raised one eyebrow, "Huh, I want to clear the field of battle. At least I have a flurry while you can just waltz to and fro."
On hearing that, Christopher chuckled, "I'm looking for a way out of here. Oh, or maybe this hostel is already your home?"
"Currently, not at all. But.."
Theodore the middle looked up, a sky beyond the great walls that surrounded the field. "Did they really lock us in here?"
I don't understand what Theodore said.
"Just try to get out using the main gate, or another completely open exit, even the sky above us. Maybe by then you'll realize this place is protected by some kind of protective magic" Christopher said, looking up.
"I heard that sick or deformed animals cannot penetrate it as easily as healthy animals" Theodorus added.
"Hm. this bird, yes, it's a good idea."
Theodore held Light. He took a plan to throw it. Then he did.
Light was thrown up strongly. Everyone watched how Light was thrown. I didn't know where the protective wall was, but as Light flew up, the light suddenly came close. The light was beautiful enough to make people amazed.
Then when Light hit the light that I thought was the protective wall, there was some kind of electricity or something like that moving quickly spread in the sky there. At that time I knew, the protective wall that protected this strange place was dome-shaped.
I didn't see where Light was, he disappeared.
"I think the magic is really strong, I'm afraid it's got dangerous radiation" Theodorus said.
"I wonder what happened to that pitiful bird" said Christopher.
Before long, I arrived at a different place. A wilderness completely untouched by perfect living creatures. Even the sunlight did not pierce through the cracks of its dense leaves. This place is terrible.
I found Light on the ground, not moving. Across his body was a bit of electricity visible from my eyes. Suddenly Light moved, his body enlarged.
Starting from his legs that did not change, until the feathers all over his body disappeared one by one. Those two wings, they're not wings anymore. Until the shape changes as perfectly as possible. Light was lying lifeless on the ground.
So like that, so Light cannot be called a bird man. Because he was an ordinary crow that mutated because of the dangerous radiation from the protective wall magic.
I stopped my activities, and regained consciousness.
"Light is not a bird man, he is an ordinary crow who mutates due to a dangerous radiation from the protective wall magic, like the protector protecting the Academy now" I told everyone.
"Magic radiation of protective walls like the ones lining the Astbourne valley?!" Jack did not believe it.
"Yes, that kind of thing. Don't know if the effect is the same or not."
"It's a pity" Selena squeezed in while rubbing Light's hairy head. He seemed very happy with his treatment.
"Did you see anything else?" Dylan looked at me seriously. Looks like he also did what I did, looking at Light's past.
"A strange place. Like the grounds of the Bronze Warriors training, that kind of thing. But it's like a dead place" I'm honest. Dylan nodded in understanding by rounding his mouth like the letter O.
"How's the Bronze Warrior yard?"
Ah, you're right. Chlea and the others did not know the shape of the yard.
"A plain, or field that is usually rectangular in shape. By having two or four door throngs, and surrounded by a large wall or wall towered up. Most of what I know, those walls can also be used to monitor the situation" explains Dylan.
They all nodded in understanding, and I continued my story.
"In contrast, the place is oval shaped like a ballroom. Surrounded by seating made of cement, almost similar to the shape of the field. At that time in the middle there was a horse carcass and on it a herd of Light was flying around the carcass. Suddenly a group of boys came, in white uniforms, and one of them drove the crows away using an iron spear, until the spear fell and hit one wing of Light. Soon a group of other boys arrived. One of them shouted the name of the boy who threw the spear, he was named Theodorus, and who called his name Christopher. Both are the Lycanthrope clan. They don't seem to have such a good relationship."
Dylan frowned, "The two people... Very familiar to me. It's as if someone's mentioned their names, but I forgot."
"Ah, one more thing. It looks like they were trying to get out of that place, and that place has a dormitory they live in" I added.
Edward let out a deep breath, "Then, the place you're looking at is an academy."
"Looks like. But why are they trying to get out of there? And the place is protected by a protective wall?" Ardan's words made me wonder even more.
"Here you go, that's not what got us together here anyway. I want to talk about ascension" Dylan suddenly changed the subject. I want to know anyway.
"What's wrong?" Ask Selena.
"It's not that special, I just have a plan to go to the Angkara kingdom and watch the event take place" he said.
"Well." We were all disappointed.
"You why?! As if you were disappointed."
"Everyone wants to be there, and you just planned it?" Edward's emotional protest.
"Huh, you just want to, and have no effort at all. Humph!" Dylan looked the other way with his hands folded across his chest.
"Then die or mutate after passing through that protective wall? I'd better stay here" even Edward mimicked Dylan's moves.
"The only way we can get past that protective wall is-"
