Metanoia; The Hybrid
CHAPTER 36: THE SWORDPLAY CHALLENGE.

"Wow wow... What is that?" Joseph approached.

"Hahaha, I challenge you to be able to defeat me. If you manage to levitate my wooden sword, I will grant you one wish" Chairoz said.

"REALLY?!" Simultaneously them again.

"Yes, I'll grant you any request. No exception. Just one request."

"You must be kidding" Joseph muttered with a chuckle.

"How to, rest" Chairoz said. It was listened to by Gara completely. He took a seat between Edward and Dylan under the giant tree that was now their place to rest.

"All right, we're starting. Who will be the first challenger?" Ask Chairoz. Just then some people raised their hands and cheered to be selected as the first challenger.

"What's this?" Suddenly Harold joined Joseph.

"Lion with his silly thoughts. He challenged the disciples, anyone who could levitate his wooden sword, the Lion would grant one wish, anything, no exception" Joseph explained still with a laugh.

"Why are you laughing? Well, I'm sure those students can win it. After all they are not humans, they are Supernatural clan beings. They learn twice as fast as a human child, even faster" Harold murmured.

Joseph stopped his laughter, "Wow, are you racist now? Arthur must have taught you that."

"I'm not being racist, it's just a general fact."

"Well, I chose Xavier" Chairoz said, pointing at Xavier. Xavier is the only child who does not make a fuss when raising his hand.

"I'm sure, I'm the one who's the one. Hahahaha" his pride then advanced forward, facing off against Dandelion.

"It's so arrogant" said Cassandra.

"Hey, Cassa... Just look who will win between me and the teacher. Of course I am! I'm the prince of darkness!" Xavier said as he played his wooden sword until it swirled around in his hand.

"Well, just want to make sure...if you win, what do you want from Chairoz?" Suddenly Arthur appeared just behind Xavier, his pupil.

Xavier turned around and was surprised, "Hm. But the one I want right now... I want to have a pet, a fire-scaled dragon nesting in the Southernmost part of the Underworld! The hottest and most poisonous, the most vicious and dangerous! "

At that time everyone was surprised to hear Xavier's request that sounded very, very heavy, especially Chairoz who did not think about the imagination of the other student's child.

"You and your imagination, I won't let you win so easily then" Chairoz said.

Just like that, Xavier and Chairoz started their sword fight, in order to train the disciples. Xavier barely managed to levitate Chairoz's sword, but he lost. Her adorable face of disappointment keeps people entertained. Followed by other challengers.

They're in trouble, of course. Although if viewed with their ability to use swords is already very good, but still, defeating a more experienced former Hunter is very difficult for them. They learn very quickly, such is the Supernatural creature clan.

The small fight ended, with Edward the final challenger. The students immediately returned to their dormitories, cleaned themselves up and took a break to wait for lunch to be provided.

Unmoving from where he was standing as he was about to lay down his wooden sword, he was the only disciple who did not challenge Chairoz. The other asked "Why is it that you just keep quiet?" that moment. He just watched, nonstop. Watching the two wooden swords moving against each other.

"Gara, come on" Castiel managed to disperse the reverie of Gara.

"Ah... Just go first, I want to see Mr. Chairoz first" he said.

"You're going to challenge the teacher?"

"Of course."

"I'll watch if you're sure."

Castiel eventually leaves Gara, going to the dorm to join the other children. While Gara walked towards the Master who was clearing some wooden swords on the ground.

Because she shook her head, "I'm thirsty, but that's not why I'm here. Teacher, I challenge you. If I win, you'll have to grant me one wish."

Joseph laughed the loudest, "Hahaha! You're the only student who didn't challenge Chairoz just now, and now you're challenging him?! Why not just now?"

"If I challenged him earlier, maybe I would lose to my knowledge of the sword very little. But I already understood one or two things, so I challenge the teacher now" he explained.

"Hm.. okay. Without the need to linger, because it's already willing to have lunch and extra classes."

Chairoz immediately got up and moved towards the empty training area, he took out his wooden sword. Likewise with Gara, but when he was about to step foot, Michael held his hand. "You don't want to drink first?"

Because he nodded, "No. Besides what to worry about, I'm just a little thirsty."

Because he approached Chairoz afterwards, with his wooden sword that had been in his hand. His heart skipped a beat, this little fight he had to win.

"What if I help you?" The voice emerged from Gara's head when he saw Chairoz standing upright. That was Sara's voice.

"And I'll keep quiet while you finish this? No, I just need to dominate my Vampire side" Gara replied in her prepared manner.

"fight... It's starting!"

The sound of the sword friction made Castiel stop his steps. He turned around and looked at the training area, finding Gara and his teacher, Dandelion Chairoz, who were fighting swords. Castiel who looked excited immediately ran towards the dormitory, approaching his friends who were crowded in the gathering room, about to go to their respective rooms to change clothes.

"How to challenge a teacher!" The screech.

Suddenly everyone immediately abandoned their activities. Scattered out of the dormitory, towards the training area, to see Gara.

The two swords clashed against each other, creating the sound of friction that Gara enjoyed. After noticing the other kids fighting Chairoz, he learned a lot about it. Because he attacks from various directions, sometimes he must protect himself, or make an interval to return to attack. As if he had been studying for months how to play the sword, so quickly he understood.

"This was the first day he touched the sword, trained how to hold, and how to attack or protect himself. It was like seeing a child who had been playing with a sword for months. I mean, he's a Supernatural clan creature like any other kid, just a little bit more different" Arthur marvels.

"As well as yesterday at archery practice, he was like no other, he learned twice as fast as them" Abraham said.

Due to his relentless attack, he attempted to lift the wooden sword of Chairoz from his hand, but it was difficult to do so. Because admit it, against Chairoz is very difficult. He dominated his Vampire side, the two glowing red-eye beads left Chairoz shocked. Gara's attacking speed is now on par with Chairoz. Several times Gara even attacked him with alternating positions.

"See... Why are Gara's eyes red? Like the eyes of a Demon... or a Vampire?" Ask Iris.

"Demon and Vampire eyes do look at a glance no different, but when viewed carefully, Demon eyes have a dark purplish coloring while Vampire eyes have a bright red coloring. Gara's eyes look more like Vampire eyes" Xavier explains.

While the others questioned Gara's changed eyes, Dylan simply kept silent and thought about Gara at this moment. "What if the others see you? They'll find out." Inner itself.

Because he still attacked Chairoz, but his attack changed. The attack was apparently not aimed at floating the sword of Chairoz. The attack was for the man himself.

Several times, with the technique known to Gara, he attacked the legs of Chairoz, or his stomach even the upper head with a jump. But the attack was repelled Chairoz easily. Even so, the former Lycanthrope Hunter was also confused by Gara's serious attack. Not like his other students.

"Why has the attack changed?" Ask Michael.

"The technique strikes it. We don't even talk about it at all." Harold continued.

"What can an 8-year-old do? Chairoz will very easily beat him-"

The sound of a falling sword cut through Samuel's words. Everyone saw clearly, Gara managed to make Chairoz's sword float from his hand, with Gara's position being pointed his wooden sword at Chairoz's stomach.

"He succeeded.." murmured Abraham.

Gara's gaze fixed on Chairoz's bead looked very serious. To the old man, Gara was neither angry nor happy that he had raised his sword. He only looks ambitious to slice Chairoz's stomach, but the man knows he's trying to hold something back.

"Gara, are you okay?"
