Metanoia; The Hybrid

Metanoia; The Hybrid
CHAPTER 42: THROUGH THE MAGIC WALL.

We have prepared many things, of course weapons and some objects that will be useful later. With our waist bags having unlimited capacity, I even brought some bottles of my drink if needed, yes I should really need.

Now, we are just waiting for the right moment to leave the Academy. After I finished the last class, Chlea walked up to my desk with the books in her hand.

"I heard soon that there is a match practice in the field for the fifth year students" he said helping me tidy up my things.

"Train match? Oh, you mean club skarfaloma?"

Chlea nodded, "They're going to have a skarfaloma, isn't that a chance for us to leave?"

He's right, people will focus and attend the field. That way, no one will notice our departure.

After I finished my last class, Chlea and I went to the dorm to take her. Waiting for the others. However, I stopped at the bridge, making Chlea turn to look at me.

"I wait here" I said and let Chlea run into the dormitory.

While waiting, I heard the sound of an announcement from the field. They are introducing team members who will be practicing a scarf match. The match was only a match for a red flag placed in the middle of the field. Both teams will fight for the flag. The defending team holds the flag until the time is over, is the winner.

Then, Chlea and the others returned to the bridge and we walked to the field in the forest, to my house.

"There's no way we're asking the Fairy Clan for help to create our replicas here, right now they're looking at me." Edward said. I understand the point clearly.

"At least, we need their magic powder?" Chlea.

"Oh, you mean sparkling dust?" I justify.

"To protect us from the crowds and the teachers themselves" he added.

"I'll ask for a bag, maybe they'll give it to me" Selena said, turning back to the dormitory.

"Everything is safe? Nothing left behind?" Manya make sure.

"All is safe, Gara!" Jack and Ardan.

"Ah, I know how we can go without everyone knowing" Dylan cried.

"How's it?"

"I'm a Vampire. A Vampire can create illusions in his target to gain an advantage. Most people use the ability to create that illusion in terms of politics and law."

I get it now. That was why many of the Vampire Clan took legal positions in the ministry.

"You can do it?" My toot.

"I can, but not for the duration. Maybe about 3 hours, how?" Fresh Dylan.

"I don't understand how it works" asked Jack.

"The bottom line is, those who are exposed to my illusions, will not be aware of our existence. They'll think that if we exist, in fact we're leaving the Academy valley" Dylan explained.

"Alright, let's hurry" I said straight back to walking. Coinciding with Selena's return, I saw a bag of flaming powder in her hand.

"They gave it to you?" I asked while receiving the bag.

"They don't suspect anything at all."

"How come, what excuse did you give, Selena?" Chlea.

"I'm just saying, I need to catch a mole in the back garden" he said.

"Are there rats in the garden?" Ask Jack.

"I guess... There's..."

Ardan chuckled, "And they trust you?"

"That's how..."

I shook my head and led the line. But just as we were about to enter the forest, some people came. They are Xavier, Iris, Luca, Castiel, and Piers.

"They're coming..." Mumbles.

"Where are you going?" Ask Luca.

But I don't care about them, nor do I want to prolong the problem. Just like that I immediately stepped away leaving the others.

But I heard Xavier yell my name, "Gara!" I stopped at that moment without turning around.

"Where are you going?" Castiel asked in a low tone as he always did.

"Dylan, can you speed this up? We're going to waste time" Edward grumbled by nudging Dylan on the shoulder.

"Did that work?" Ask Selena.

I thought Dykan couldn't make an illusion to them, but I was wrong. From our bodies came out like a transparent light, walking towards them, as if speaking.

Until Piers says, "Oh you guys are going to the river and find prey?"

"The Lycanthrope clan is usually hunting. What are you guys gonna prey on?" Ask Luca. And just like that they with illusions we went away.

"It worked... It's terrible." muttered Ardan.

"You're sure the illusion is about everyone here?" I took Dylan seriously.

"A hundred percent" he said.

"All right, let's go."

We went into the forest. In the same way we finally arrived at the frontier that the teachers created.

In the midst of undressing to transform, Chlea said, "If this doesn't work, how?"

"This protective wall cannot be passed by something that is sick, injured or disabled. This also applies to animals"

"If we can't get through it, does that mean we belong to sick, injured or disabled beings?" Ask Jack.

"As you know, no supernatural being is perfect except in its physical form. We are born with defects. I conclude, because we have something that is not owned by humans" I explained.

"So why can't we get through it?" Ardan.

"Yes, that's it. So if Light with his bird form can penetrate that wall, then the defective part is his human form. And that happens to us too."

"Oh! That means our human form is part of the flaw?!" Selena Exclamation.

"Then what about me?" Dylan.

"You just have to dominate your Vampire side" I said.

"I don't understand."

Looks like I'll just use my Vampire side, to exemplify Dylan. When the others had already transformed, I immediately dominated my Vampire side.

"When you look this close, your Vampire side is very charismatic" Dylan said.

"I know that."

Then I stretched out my hand, and brought my index finger closer to the magic wall. Instantly the lights were getting more vibrating. But when the tip of my finger hit it, through between them, the light stopped around my finger. Bright enough to even blind a pair of human eyes.

I stepped foot through the magic wall with satisfaction, because what I had thought carefully turned out to be true. Having been freed from our borders, I really could not see anything inside. I can't see my friends or Light. That's how it works.

And that which was never in it, could never enter, except the one who created it or the people to whom it was addressed. It turns out I have nothing to fear anymore on this wall. The others suddenly came out in their wolf form, as did Dylan and Light.

"It worked!" Screeched Jack and Ardan in unison, they tos each other.

"How about Selena? His nature has not appeared!" Said Edward.

Then suddenly, I saw Selena's beautiful hand that appeared. Slowly, he stepped over the magic barrier until he managed to pass through it with his human form. I was so confused as to why he could just walk through it.

"How can you?" Chlea asked while pulling Selena's hand to completely get out of that magic protector.

"I-I don't know, I just do as you guys do" he said. But I was surprised to realize something from Selena.

"Selena, your eyes..."

All people immediately noticed Selena's eyes turned golden yellow, like the eyes of a Lycanthrope.

"That means the properties of Lycanthrope Selena have appeared!" Pekik Ardan excited.

"Do you feel anything?" Edward asked, holding both hands.

Selena shook her head, "No.."

"Ah, that means her nature appears very slowly" Chlea concludes.

I nodded and refocused on our trip.

"This path will take us to Angkara pack, we no longer need to pass through Astbourne City" I said as I walked back after transforming into Lycanthrope.

"Your clothes aren't ruined?" Edward was surprised to see me. I realized, too, that none of my cloths on the ground should have been destroyed by my transformation. Maybe this is my new ability.

Then, we ran with our wolf form, down the path passed by Brother Allegro with Mr. Samuel that night.
