CHAPTER O2: THE GREAT HUNTER.

...Sagara N's. A POV'S...

Today, we return to the territory of the Vampires. After breakfast and packing, we went back in the same carriage as the brown horses of the kingdom of Claverdon. Before I actually boarded, I turned my head and looked at Grandpa Nicholas who was standing in front of the main door.

It was as if I was happy that I disappeared from before him.

"Chairoz has just returned from his mission in Irrinshire, as this year the Danveurn State Academy will open new admissions. That's why last night he was able to attend" father spoke suddenly as our horse-drawn carriage began to depart.

"Actually, what did Chairoz do in the land of Irrinshire?" Mother asked.

"A former Hunter is also still needed, recruited by the kingdoms as an additional Hunter. Although Chairos is a Hunter Lycanthrope, but his abilities are much needed. The Uva Kingdom of the Fairy people recruit him on a mission to target Rogue Fairy who reportedly stole half of Uva pack's produce" explained the father.

Brother Allegro looked amazed, "That guy is so strong!"

Dad laughed, "He's one of the Hunters who did the hunt in the 16th century and managed to catch the Hybrid that was targeted by INTI."

"He's Dad's partner, isn't he?" My toot.

"Right, we were one training back then in the 15th century."

Twenty hours we spent traveling to the port of Anchores in the land of Danveurn. That night we rested in one of the resting places. The next day, very early in the morning, our belongings were brought into a big head.

Me and Brother Allegro were still standing at the dock, watching the workers unload the cargo. After that mother called, telling us to wait in the ranks of the seats that were not too far from the dock.

After a few minutes, the great ship was ready to sail with us, as well as other cargoes to be brought to the land of Urcmoonth. It took us about 4 hours to arrive. Our luggage which was only a little was immediately dropped off at the dock.

Some people were transporting our luggage, we were also escorted directly to the port of Mystichael. There, we went straight away in a horse-drawn carriage and we finally arrived at the capital, Alystra.

"Dad, I want to visit the store" Allegro said as we entered the city. This place is crowded with humans, because two different lives must be side by side. I saw a sharp tool shop appointed by Brother Allegro.

"For what?" Ask dad to stop the train.

"I ordered something, as Gara's birthday gift."

I forgot that today is my birthday.

"You're right. Because there's something you want? Today you're a year old" mom cupped my cheeks with her two warm palms.

"Mom, I'm a big boy. I don't need a birthday present. Don't treat me like a child" I protested as my mother pinched my cheeks.

Mom laughed, "Gosh, mommy's son is big. Then, Allegro, go with your sister. We'll wait here" mother gave Allegro's savings coin she got every day for helping Northcliff's grandfather in some small job.

Me and Brother Allegro came down, crossing the not-so-dry road. We entered the store, and when we saw the seller I knew he was a Vampire.

"Welcome back, prince Allegro, prince of Sagara" he saluted when he realized our arrival.

"Thank you for the welcome, uncle. I came to ask, is the degger I ordered done?"

The uncle bowed again, "It's done, prince. I'll bring it" and then he goes to get the thing that Allegro ordered.

"When did you order it, brother?"

Brother Allegro replied, "A few days as we go to the land of Danveurn."

After a few seconds, the seller returned with a degger, "This is the prince. Carved and colored to the size the prince wanted."

Brother Allegro took the degger from the seller's hand, then gave it to me, "Do you like it?"

Of course I like it, it's a gift from Brother Allegro. After all, I was never allowed to hold sharp objects such as deggers or kitchen utensils. What will I first use with this degger?

After coming from that place, we came back. I am very happy to have this thing, and do not forget the glove degger which is also beautiful, made of dragon skin material to be resistant to fire. I put that degger in my lap.

"A degger?" Ask mom while looking at Allegro.

"His age is eight, so I think in this situation he should already have at least one thing protecting him. At least when I'm not with her."

Really, I'm gonna take care of this thing. If I'm going anywhere, I'll take it with me.

After a long journey we finally arrived at the kingdom of Claverdon. We got off the train and our luggage was brought in.

"Your Majesty" call one of the men whose face is unfamiliar. The man had a large body, thin black hair, with a 16th-century Hunter robe.

Father realized his arrival, "Don't call me that, the abdication is still a few weeks ahead."

The man bowed respectfully, after a few seconds, his eyes turned to Allegro's brother, "Are you prince Allegro?"

Brother Allegro nodded, "What uncle is Dandelion Chairoz, the former Hunter who yesterday attended the banquet?"

The man laughed, "Yes, we finally met. I heard a lot about you. Then are you prince of Sagara?"

"Gara" said.

Chairoz glanced at me, "How about we go around the kingdom for a minute?"

"Not coming."

I stared at Mom for a bit and took a deep breath, "Alright."

"Then, we'll leave you two with Chairoz. Have fun" said the mother, holding the hand of the father, walking into the kingdom followed by several Golden Soldiers escorting them.

The three of us went around the kingdom, all the way to the back garden. Chairoz told me a lot about himself and how his missions were. I heard of the many difficult conditions he faced while on a Hybrid hunting mission at that time.

"At that time, I was faced with two difficult choices. Between saving myself, or saving my partner who's protecting me."

Chairoz looked at me, "He yelled, telling me to run. But all I did was stand staring at the remnants of his power to move the sword."

"Until the end, he shouted a second time. Told me to run. I didn't know at the time that I had chosen the right choice. Sacrificing my comrades for the sake of me staying alive. I also don't know, what's on his mind until it's easy to say."

Brother Allegro asked, "Do you know the answer?"

The big man in front of me said, "Because he puts the success of this mission first rather than saving his own life."

"But he's your partner!"

I don't really care, it's only because of Allegro. In my eyes, Chairoz was an ordinary person who was lucky to be that strong.

I saw two sword handles that look on Chairoz's back. Right away he opened the Hunter robe he was wearing, and I clearly saw two long swords, placed across his back.

"Wow, is that real?" Brother Allegro asked.

"Of course."

"Where did you get it?" I asked while comparing the object with the Degger that was given by Brother Allegro.

"From the blacksmith who is in the territory of the Wizard nation, in the territory of the Terpsichore kingdom" he said.

"Dad always had some meetings outside the territory of the Vampires, once I asked him to come, but he never allowed me. If I were someone like you, I would be able to circumnavigate the world" that's Allegro's dream. He wants to be able to see the condition of other nations, kingdoms, or even existing packs.

"That's because you're a kid. All parents would also ban such a thing. But the kingdom seems to be deserted. Aren't the members of the kingdom of Claverdon very numerous?" Ask Chairoz.

"Indeed much. But some choose to stay in their respective residences" I'm honest.

"Vampire does like silence, sometimes it makes them calm" said Allegro.

After that we decided to go inside. But before we arrived at the living room, on the doorstep I saw some Soldiers I had never seen before.

"You guys shouldn't be doing this" the voice belonged to Northcliff's grandfather, he came from the other side.

I saw a man take off the iron helmet, "Sorry to disturb your calm, Your Majesty. The higher-ups sent servants to bring the Hybrid child, isn't he 8 years old today?"

"What will the Elders do?" Father speaking.

"Actually, the servant was not assigned to explain this matter. But the Prince was brought in for his sake and for our common good. The prince will be able to handle it, as he did last century" he said.

"You think I trust the INTI Healer team? You forget, I'm the only one who doesn't support that control despite the fact that they're successful" Northcliff's grandfather said.

"Your Majesty"

"I don't want my granddaughter to do anything about it" on hearing that I looked at Northcliff's grandfather. This is the first time I've heard him call me his grandson.

"Why is his control not in the kingdom alone?" The mother who looked very frightened finally spoke up.

"That's a CORE decision. Servants just run errands" he said while slightly bowing respectfully to mother.

Father turned to look at Northcliff's grandfather, because he knew the decision of the King of Urcmoonth was inviolable.

"I'll vouch for it. Give him time to develop so that we know things in the future, he also needs to understand this. If you take him now forcibly, it's not very good for his growth" said Northcliff's grandfather with a serious face.

"What if that trait comes up?"
