Metanoia; The Hybrid

Metanoia; The Hybrid
CHAPTER 28: THE UNBELIEVABLE FUTURE.

"Vale left because he found no sign of you here. It's a good thing your Hybrid scent isn't dominant, or even barely smelled at all."

That is what Mr. Neanderthald, the principal of the Danveurn State Academy who was sitting in front of me. When I arrived, Mr. Joseph took me straight to the principal's room with the other teachers to talk to me, with the dish I needed now, fresh blood and the dead partridge first. I was welcome to eat, while listening to their discussion.

"Actually I'm not sure he just gave up. One day he will come back because all he wants is to see the faces of the children. He really knows Gara's face" said Mr. Chiroz.

"I support Gara. Only thing that bothered me all this time was, if everyone knew he was going to be a Hybrid that harmed the Supernatural clan, why was he left alive in the first place?" The question made me stop eating. I looked seriously at Mr. Arthurian.

"What do you mean by question?" Ask Mr. Neanderthals.

"Relax, as I said, I support Gara. Look, what compelling reason made the Gara protectors insist on letting Gara live, or not fall into the hands of INTI? They sound like they want to help make Gara not the Hybrid she used to be, but why refuse?" He asked back.

"If you think about it, Mr. Arthur's right. I'm confused myself, if the people who protected me knew from the start, why didn't they finish me off while I was still in mom's stomach?" The question just came out.

Mr. Harold snapped at my head, "You're how. Your parents definitely don't want that to happen."

"Harold is right, Gara. And there's actually another reason. A month before Princess Annelise knew she was pregnant with you, Prince Damian got a letter from an Oracle. Me and Prince Damian went to visit him. The Oracle swears on behalf of the Moon Goddess, the child Princess Annelise conceived as the child who can destroy INTI and uncover their dark secrets. Unfortunately, the man died after we left" explained Mr. Chiroz.

"Why did that man die right after you left? That sounds pretty weird" continued Mr. Michael.

"I don't know, but I think someone did it on purpose to silence his mouth. When we got back, the man was gone. His old house was a mess, as if there were so many people visiting him."

I finished with my meal, and stood about to leave. Not knowing why, hearing their stories made me remember the images I saw at that time when Psychophagos absorbed my soul. But my move stopped Mr. Samuel, "You're a kid who doesn't have manners, or what?"

"I want to be alone first" I said.

"What's going on, something happened? Is your wound hurting again?" Mr. Abraham sounded very worried.

"No, you've healed me, so it doesn't hurt anymore."

"Are you angry, or are you sad? I can see both of them on your face" I'm not angry or sad, Mr. Michael.

"No, I just need to be alone"

Mr. Arthur interrupted me, "Something happened to you? Just tell me, we'll listen."

I was made to sit back by Mr. Samuel's teacher. Why am I stuck here.

"Nothing special, I just saw the death of someone else in my head" I finally said.

"Tell me in detail, maybe we can help" said Mr. Chiroz.

"When Psychophagos absorbed my soul, I saw the life of the beautiful woman and the man I assumed was her son. My friend told me it was my future" my story says.

"Can Psychophagos convey a person's future?" Ask Mr. Michael.

Mr. Arthur shook his head, "I never heard of it from the survivors when Psychophagos absorbed their souls. But fortunately, I held the creature before a little bit of your soul was eaten."

"So that's what's bothering you?" My head is held gently by Mr. Chairoz, and I nodded yes.

"But what I do know, Psychophagos can make someone hallucinate or remind them of things they don't want to remember, so the person is getting lost and makes Psychophagos more easily absorb their souls" keep Mr. Arthur suddenly.

"Listen to Gara, as Arthur said, the creature can make someone hallucinate" Mr. Michael approached me. The gentle Angel in front of me hugged me in her warmth, rubbing my back.

"Nobody can see the future well. Destiny is always in our hands, not in the sight or thought of others."

His words momentarily made the thought disappear, just like I was hugging Mr. Michael. She was like my mother, always able to calm me down.

Psychophagos was repatriated as soon as possible by Mr. Arthurian. They simply disappeared after being put back into the Pentagram Demon.

All day, we just spent time entering class, there was no morning class on the field, or something that was exhausting us. Tomorrow, our test scores come out. Our names are on a piece of paper taped to a wall magazine. There, the clan that has the best cooperation is the Lycanthrope clan. While my name is ranked second for the category of strategist. Dylan was the main star.

I'm about to write a letter to Brother Allegro, I'll tell you a story about my days here. The letter contained how I met my seven friends, and other clan friends. About how my Lycanthrope nature came about, going to the river for the first time, meeting 6 other very experienced former Hunters, about the appearance of my Vampire nature, about the sudden test, he said, and play with Psychophagos today. I told her everything except the bad things that happened to me. I don't want to make Brother Allegro, Mom and Dad worried about my condition.

I entrusted Light the crow to deliver my letter. Light just flew away after I told him I believed him, as if he understood what I was saying. I also hope, Light the crow is not okay when heading to the Land of Urcmoonth.

"When you don't like it here, but why do you want to come now, Allegro?"

Damian and Allegro together were getting off their big ship. They had just arrived at Anchores port in Dorforwyn County, Danveurn Country.

Allegro smiled at his father, "I want to visit Gara, father."

Damian was surprised, because Allegro had not said anything about his plan to meet Gara. Actually, Damian will only take care of his ascension to the throne. He will also visit the entire pack to see their condition.

"You lied to your mother?"

Allegro was surprised as he climbed onto their horse carriage to continue the journey, "I didn't lie to mother. About me wanting to visit Gara it's something I just thought of, just now."

"Why do you visit him, it's better to practice swords in the kingdom" Damian tried to make Allegro forget about his wish.

"I miss Gara, it's been years. I don't know how I'm without Gara, having to play alone, training alone, I'm not like myself. I beg you" Allegro asked solemnly.

"You and your affection for your sister, but wouldn't it be better to go with you to meet your father's right-hand man?" Damian tried again.

Unfortunately Allegro insisted on visiting Gara, "Dad please."

"Alright, we'll leave if the situation is good. You know, Vale and the other squad leaders are looking for your sister?"

"Yes. When he came to see me a few days ago, he also asked where Gara was going. Isn't that weird, dad? Though the agreement was clear, that they would take Gara when he was 14 years old. Even if Gara's whereabouts were known or not, they shouldn't have looked for him that way. As if they found Gara, they would watch him non-stop, making sure Gara would not run when his age had arrived" Allegro said.

Damian smiled proudly hearing that from his Vampire son, he rubbed Allegro's head gently, "You're right. They want to mark Gara."

"ah! It's Light!" Allegro realized his crow was flying above him. In a loud voice he called out to the crow by Light's name. The somewhat obedient light immediately descended, recognizing the voice of its owner clearly. Light got into the carriage and landed on Allegro's lap.

"This letter must be from Gara!" Allegro looks very happy. He took the letter and read it in his heart.

Damian who was watching his son's face also smiled. The father of the two children knew that Allegro was really missing his sister. He knew, Allegro and Gara rarely did not meet each other like this. They will spend time together all day. Although her first son had to go to the Academy early in the morning, Gara was always waiting in the royal gazeboo.

Damian remembered such times. "What did he say in the letter?"

"many things. Ah I would love to see her, hug her until she wants to cry" Allegro hugged himself while imagining that.

"Hahaha, your sister rarely cries. The last time we saw him was crying when he fell. He was very small, about 4 years old."

Allegro who very coincidentally brought his writing equipment to reply to Gara's letter, after all he knew, he was in Danveurn. The letter would reach his sister's hand faster. He wrote slowly, because the vibrations that occurred due to the train was walking on the ground full of gravel.

Afterwards, he sends Light to return to Gara's place. And their journey continues.
