People started to finish off the big event that happened that morning. One by one they left the kingdom, to go down the streets passed by their new King and Queen, or take care of their respective affairs. Except for the government officials who are comfortable with where they stand.
I turned around and saw Adam down there. His smile disappeared when he thought of the incident that night, when Adam broadcast news about him. It was in his mind to find out more about the white-haired man.
"Should we go back? The show is over" asked Chlea to come over to Gara. Beta actually knew that Gara wanted to stay there longer, but he also had to look at the condition of the teachers who were preparing to return to the Academy.
"Chlea, I-I"
"Gara, let's go back. The teachers are getting ready!" Chlea deliberately cuts off Gara's sentence, and holds her hand so that Gara does not go carry out his intention to go down there.
"This face again? The last time I saw her was when I was about to get hurt" because I looked at Chlea's anxious face carefully. He also knew that his Beta was not messing around with his simple request to return to the Academy.
"I have a bad feeling, and the last time this feeling came, you were hurt" Chlea said.
Sighing, "We'll be back."
Then he led the way to the same road when they arrived. After descending to the main floor, Gara stopped at the end of the stairs when he heard Adam talk with the teachers who were about to leave.
"So, how do you hide the boy, Chairoz?" Adam asked Chairoz when their eyes met.
"What kid, Elder?" Chairoz pretended not to understand.
"Prince Sagara, who else? They call it the prince who's been missing lately. No news or witnesses, but didn't you interact with the Northcliffs not long ago?" Adam cornered Chairoz until the people around looked at the former Hunter.
"I don't take part in this, Elder. The disappearance of the prince was something I never expected. However, as if you suspect Mr. Neanderthals and the staff of Danveurn State Academy by sending your troops?" Chairoz replied with a sharp look.
"Gara, let's go.." reprimanded Chlea as Gara got more and more dissolved in the ear-eaves.
"Just a minute, Chlea."
"You're a very perfectionist man of the century, Elder. I'm sure you've been looking for the same thing for King Charles?" Chairoz lured him to tell the conversation between Adam and the Vampire King.
"King Charles sent the prince to a distant place, he explained. The prince will be handed over to INTI if he is 14 years old according to the agreement. However, his disappearance unknown to all these people made me anxious" he explained.
"What are you worried about, Elder? King Charles isn't just anyone who can betray his covenant."
Adam laughed, "It's not like that the thought of one who wants to reconcile the world, Chairoz. However, aren't you afraid of the dark ages that have raised you?"
His words were like a nightmare that always came to Chairoz, as soon as Chairoz's face turned serious, "Maybe I should be grateful that I was born in those days, Elder? If your fear of the repeated return of history blinds you, believe that you have made a mistake, Elder. You're cornering two innocent children, but this child isn't as barbaric as the previous one. This kid understands the situation a lot more, this kid knows the world a lot more. I'm just giving you a little enlightenment because I'm your ex-army."
Adam laughed again, "You sound more scared right now, Chairoz? And you brought it to me, don't you remember your duty?"
"That's when you brought me to INTI, there really wasn't a single sane person coming out of there. I wonder what you've done to me, Elder?" Chairoz began to remember his times as like glass shards. He remembered what it was like to be handed over to INTI, which is why this time he would not make the same mistake as when he handed over the first Hybrid.
Adam smiled, "I am as the people say, Chairoz. I am a peacemaker. What I did just to achieve the ideals of this country."
Chairoz chuckled and it confused Adam, "Alright then, Elder. I will also strive to make that peace real and lasting. I swear I won't sleep well before you see the peace yourself" and his two beads point at Gara. He blinked one eye and looked back at Adam.
Gara who was surprised because Chairoz did that turned around and left the place. He quickly brought his friends out of the kingdom, out of the backyard.
"Mrs. Chairoz knows that we are here" said Gara while slowing down his path.
"Well! How do you know that?!" Jack was hysterical and started to get scared.
"So, my eyes and Mr's eyes. Chairoz meet."
They walk back to the city of Buxton or often called the Angkara Pack. On the same road they returned to the forest. However, suddenly Gara remembered something and stopped stepping.
"Where's Light?!"
"Light's gone!" Strangling Jack and Ardan together through Pack Link.
"We have to find him, he's a mutant bird, he could have been sold!" Dylan.
She nodded, "The others will come back first, Dylan and I will go"
"I'm coming" Edward said quickly.
Because he was silent for a while, but he finally agreed that Edward would participate in Light's search.
"Go, we'll wait. We will not return to the Academy before you return as well" Selena said, holding Edward's hand, as if entrusting him to return as soon as possible.
Then the three of them went out into the forest and walked through the streets of the hempy city of Buxton with people. Because he inhaled the air of the street, hoping he could find where Light was, until they continued walking and Light's scent immediately faintly smelled.
Gara glanced at a narrow alley filled with food barrels.
"You found him?" Edward asked, glancing at the alley.
"Thin once the aroma, and it leads to it. I hope the boy's okay" Gara walked back, followed by Dylan and Edward from behind.
They walked in a narrow alley that smelled bad, then after arriving at the intersection, because they found a place that should not exist. The alley was not a back alley that regular store employees used to go out or take care of their stock. The alley is more precisely called the dark gathering of abhorrent people, for there are drunkards, sellers of drugs and poisons, gambling, gambling, even the one door that made Gara keep glancing at was those who carried out the illegal auction.
"Light... It was there" Because he pointed at the door, he was more and more convinced that Light was in there. He could breathe in the scent of the bird very clearly.
"What place is this.. I've never seen this filthy place in Buxton in my life here" Edward murmured.
"These are the usual places adults play in their world. Gambling, the import-export of illegal goods, illegal drugs and poisons, is even worse an illegal auction. In Alystra there is also a place like this, they auction the humans as immortal drinks, because the buyers will make them slaves for blood. They will be left alive, high up in the house and get food, but all of it has its rewards. Usually the humans brought are those who have no purpose in life, the homeless, or the orphans in the orphanage" explained Dylan.
"It's terrible for your people" hissed Edward who was so shocked to hear Dylan's explanation.
"That's not at all as terrible as your people, Ed. If you want to know, just look at that bar yourself, that bar that's doing illegal auctions, and you'll know what the difference is in the way your people work" dylan said, which made Edward even more curious.
Because he let out a long sigh because they were both stiff, he walked over to the bar he believed in. Upon entering, they were all surprised to find many adults filling the table. Men and women, it makes no difference, they look like conglomerates.
Edward's eyes turned forward, seeing many people he believed to be human. Adults and children are there, in brackets like animals.
"Continue looking" Dylan told Edward.
When the auction takes place and the selected human gets the buyer, immediately the person offering it immediately does something. He whipped out once his sword, and the human was cut into pieces until it splattered on the floor.
"I want to throw up" said Dylan turning away from the front.
"I don't think this is the case, they humans are just the prey of our nation" Edward said casually.
"That's what I mean. We have different views on humans. For me their blood should be ours, and for you their flesh should be yours" Dylan replied.
"Oh! True, your people don't eat human flesh. I understand now" said Edward.
"Rather than talking about the fate of man, we better talk about Light's fate there" Gara's words make Edward and Dylan face forward. He looked at the Light that was shaped after the humans there.
"I don't want Light to be a piece of meat" murmured Gara.
"And I don't want to... We're caught here..."
Turning his head to look at Dylan, he was surprised to see his fingers faintly starting to look.
"Damn..."
