Allison POV
I came home feeling less disappointed. Although I was rejected, Xavier still drove me home. It was a statement that he did not completely reject me. I'm sure he thought I'd sulk and leave but I'm still hanging on with our friendship.
Like I said, I asked that question too soon.
Now I'm in an office building in Manhattan, waiting for the tender announcement of an interior design project and the renovation of an old hotel, although it's an old hotel but holds a five-star title.
Who participated in this project can be said to be a firm with a level above us, we have never had a project with this capacity.
We focus on private residences, and office space design, but this one is a project nothing to lose, if I get it it would be amazing, if not the project just think about learning, if not, which I somehow got the invitation to, maybe one of them saw our work on social media and invited us.
I ventured forward among the big firms that surrounded me. Yesterday during the initial meeting one of his investors joined the greeting meeting, the look is eccentric and flamboyant, white suit and pants, red scraft, gold buckle, gold colored watch. That guy is quite old, I think he's already in his late fifties. But it still looks quite eccentric. That look instantly made my eyes stick to him.
And although at the meeting we were given a guide that the design requested was elegant luxury, we were asked to design a lobby and one deluxe room, I bet on the appearance of the investor on that one. I changed the design of the lobby to glamorous elegant with a focus on red and gold.
The senior designers at my place were instantly stunned by the theme I had chosen. But somehow my feelings for investors are strong so I don't care about other suggestions.
"You still seem confident coming here. You are not considered here at all, among these great firms. You should just send your representative so you're not too ashamed to lose." Cindy Buffington, one of my rivals used to get Alton, you're right she works at Gensler too, but she's just a Junior Architect, she's accompanying her boss here.
But he should be able to be Junior Architect, his father also has a stake in it, and I heard he brought some projects to Gensler. The boss I once beat in an office interior tender. He still seems to be carrying heartache until now.
"You're a lot of talk." If he loses, he will start to say the absurd. I'm laughing now.
"Who told you to come here." I managed to get him out of here now.
"Everybody go in." An assistant asked us to go into a room. We rushed to a staff member who was guiding us.
"Miss Allison, you can come with me for a minute." I was called someone.
"I have to go there." I alluded to being called in when I had to receive the announcement, while the other four representatives had already entered.
"It doesn't matter, Mr. Nichols Hansen and David Montgomery will meet you."
"Mr Hansen?" That's the investor's name. Did my bet work, did I really succeed?!
"Yes, come with me."
So I was led to a meeting room on the floor above us. A room whose design is more elegant, this is the floor director and staff.
"Miss is cheek." He opened the shiny glass door for me.
