Mr. The Lawyer Fatal Attraction

Mr. The Lawyer Fatal Attraction
Part 45's. Daddy Interrogations

"Dad! I told you I don't have a boyfriend."

"But you're headed for someone. You don't have to lie. I just want to check her background."

"Nothing, all I'm saying is general. You think it is so."

"Oh yeah? This time it's weird why you're hiding it. We should talk later. Do you know him? Why don't you just say it. I told you I wouldn't interfere in your business, but identity checks are clearly needed. Why did you say he wasn't handsome, how ugly he was."

"He's not ugly! She's..." Shit I'm hooked. "I don't mean I'm saying I have an ugly boyfriend, I just don't want to have a boyfriend that's too handsome."

"Who isn't that ugly?" The longer I talk to him I'll be cornered, I can't do this.

"Dad, I gotta go. I have a meeting."

"Now you're diverting Dad? Why can't you check his identity? Does your mother know?" It's getting more complicated. A single bit of information could make him ask such a long question.

"Dad! I told you I don't have a boyfriend yet. I don't know anything."

"You two are suspicious. I'll ask your mother...." God, I can't win talking to him. I better just close it.

"Shut up the phone."

"So now that you're secretively playing with your father, what's up with this one, if you don't bring me his man thanksgiving later, Dad will have people investigate."

"Dad, nothing like that. I don't have a boyfriend yet, actually he's the one I'm telling you about is probably just a friend right now. I like him but he probably thinks I'm too complicated. Dad trust me, we'll be ready you'll tell Dad. But maybe me and her won't be just friends. I haven't had a boyfriend like I said."

"so."

"Yes so."

"Did you know him?"

"And we're not even lovers yet, I don't want to make it difficult. It might not even go anywhere so don't ask again okay."

"If we were to be, Dad would know who."

"Hmm.. okay. How about her initials?"

"Dad!" Dad laughed now, after I yelled at him.

"Good Dad let you handle it yourself."

It's over, but I need to make sure Mom doesn't leak it to Dad.

"Mom, but Dad called me and he was interrogating me about people I like. Mom please don't tell Dad it can't be. I don't want Xavier in trouble, let me handle it myself. He's limited to thinking I'm a friend anyway."

"Yes, Mom knows. Don't worry. Mom won't tell your dad. So you guys got any progress?"

"No, he still thinks I'm a friend. There's no progress yet."

"Ahh that? Did he reject you?"

"So that's how Mom happened. But he's still good to me. He's willing to be my talkative friend. He doesn't refuse if I take him out to eat, he even sends me a cake."

"Do you think he likes you?"

"I think he likes me. But I don't know if he might wish I'd changed my mind first. After all from his point of view getting involved in a relationship with me is complicated."

I told him what happened after Xavier turned me down on Mom but he didn't know what to do either.

"Slow down, maybe you can talk to each other and get to know more. I guess if that's his attitude, he doesn't reject you. It's okay not to slow down."

Just slow down. I also enjoy having someone there for me when I need them.
