My Old Star
#10 Expressing Love

This morning Arfan invited Mentari in the dormitory, according to his promise Arfan will bring Mentari to meet Grandma Wijaya. Mentari with a sweet smile came out of the dormitory after Arfan had previously contacted Mentari to inform if he was in front of the dorm.

"Are you ready to meet Grandma?" asked Arfan when Mentari was sitting on the car he was driving.

"Of course, if not where might I want to go with you," Mentari replied still with a happy smile.

"Alright, then we'll be at Grandma's house soon."

While Arfan and Mentari are still on their way, Grandma Wijaya who already knew that Mentari would come to visit was busy arranging the waiters to prepare the best dishes for them.

"You come here!" granny Wijaya orders when a servant passes in front of her.

"I am Madam" replied the waiter.

"Is everything ready? My granddaughter will be here soon!"

"Yes, Madam, only dessert is left that we still prepare."

"Ah then good, you can go, finish your work!"

"Okay Madam," replied the waiter then left Grandma Wijaya who was still looking outwards, sharpening her ears in case the awaited grandchild had arrived.

The roar of Arfan's car entered the yard, Grandma Wijaya rushed towards the front door to welcome the two.

Grandma Wijaya was really happy, really happy, for a long time he wanted a granddaughter but before everything was realized both Arfan's parents had left him and Arfan in this world to continue life without their presence.

Little Arfan must be cared for rather than be confined in deep sorrow, little Arfan must get enough affection even without his parents.

The loss of Grandpa Wijaya followed by Putra and the only son-in-law in Grandma Wijaya's life actually gives a very deep wound and is a severe blow to Grandma Wijaya's own soul, which is a terrible blow, but because of the presence of Arfan that makes Granny Vijaya strong bear it all.

"Grandmother..," said Mentari to Grandma Wijaya who immediately embraced him.

"How are you doing, son?"

"I'm fine, Grandma, Miss Mentari!"

"Grandma's a miss too, baby, let's go in. Let's talk inside!" said Grandma Wijaya while breaking her embrace.

Arfan felt forgotten by his Grandmother because of the presence of Mentari, he then followed into after twisting his own shoulders, now he felt there was a competitor for the affection of his Grandmother who had only belonged to him once, but this even makes Arfan happy because in this way his Grandmother can smile back and he does not need to be bothered again with questions that every time thrown to him related to when he can bring his Grandmother a grandchild son-in-law.

"Sit down dear," Grandma Wijaya told Mentari as soon as they reached the living room.

"What do you want to drink?" connect Grandma Wijaya.

"There's no need to bother Nek, Mentari's been drinking."

"No bother dear," Grandma Wijaya then called Arfan to get closer to him.

Just as Arfan was about to sit down, his Grandma had already called out, "You can't sit down yet, treat Grandma's granddaughter as best you can to stay at home in this house. Now serve him well!" granny Wijaya's orders in an indisputable tone.

"I mean Grandma?" Arfan knitted his two eyebrows.

"You replace the waiter's duties today, get him a drink and a snack for him too!"

"But, Grandma, is there a servant why should I intervene alone?" ask Arfan with his face bent.

"You'll do it all later, so you'll have to practice from today!"

"Let the Mentari alone Nek," Mentari rose from his seat.

"Where can be so dear, you are a guest in this house so you are the queen," prevent Grandma Wijaya with a soft voice.

Grandma Wijaya gave the code to Arfan to hurry to do what he was told, Arfan was forced to go into the kitchen to fulfill his Grandmother's request.

Arfan returned from the kitchen with a tray full of drinks and small meals, of course Arfan only helped bring the whole thing is a waiter.

Now they chatted casually in the middle room with a laugh for quite a long time.

"Fan you take Mentari around, Grandma will rest for a while. The waiter will call you when lunch is ready!" Grandma Wijaya walked with her wand while holding her waist, maybe when chatting earlier there was one vein that immediately made Grandma Wijaya stop her overflowing excitement when she met Mentari.

"You calm down Grandma is fine just need to rest for a moment, understand Grandma is old but not yet have a great-grandchild!" Grandma Wijaya spoke very lightly with a tone as if full of regret in front of her granddaughter who felt pain again penetrated into her heart because she could not realize her Grandmother's wishes at this time.

"Let's take you to the back garden, where there are many fruit trees. You must like it!"

Mentari followed Arfan's broad steps, now both have arrived at the gazebo of the back garden, "I will get fruit for you, what do you want?"

Mentari shook his head, "It seems that there is no need to hesitate so," said Arfan who saw Mentari seemed hesitant, because from his arrival to this house he felt very privileged.

"Then let me choose, you wait here!"

Not long after, Arfan came with some Pears in his hand. The fruit was picked by him and he washed it.

"It's welcome, it's fresh and sweet!" Arfan gave the fruit to Mentari.

"Thank you, sir" Mentari received the fruit from Arfan's hand.

"Cok now call him sir? Is that how I am?"

"Sir Lecturer, isn't he?"

"Yes, but please change your call when I'm off campus anyway, I'm not your lecturer, am I?" arfan protested because he felt he was very old with the call.

"Call Brother, that's better!" connect Arfan.

Mentari obeyed what Arfan said, "Sister Arfan,"

Arfan smiled happily, "Tari I want us to be closer, you know not my Grandma likes you very much!"

"Is it just for Grandma's reasons?"

"I'm not sure we can understand each other very well, all this time I don't understand women except Grandma!" arfan was honest.

"So now we...?" The mentor asked timidly.

"Of course, according to what you think. Are you happy?" Arfan stared intently at Mentari with his charming smile.

Mentari's face blushed, "Did she just declare love to me?" batin Mentari flowered, it seemed like thousands of roses bloomed in his heart.

"Hey why are you daydreaming?"

"Nicely no?"

The sun lowered in shame with its face already like a boiled crab, "Here draw near to me!" Arfan pulled Mentari's wrist and carried the girl into his arms.

"From now on we'll always be together, this time it's because of Grandma but it could be tomorrow or the day after tomorrow I'll be really scared if I lose you, okay?" The whisper of Arfan in the ears of the Mentari he was approaching, a sense of warmth radiating to their respective hearts.

Arfan actually has loved Mentari since playing rain together the other day, only he is still not sure of his own feelings. All this time he only focused on futsal and Grandma.

"Sorry Sir, the Madam is calling you and Miss Mentari for lunch." The servant looked down for fear of being wrong for bothering their Master. Just sober Mentari released Arfan's embrace, Mentari seemed misbehaved because he was hugging. While Arfan looks relaxed as if nothing happened.

"Tell Grandma, we'll be right in!"

"Okay sir," The waiter resigned to Arfan, Mentari even looks very awkward because of the incident just now.

"No need to think, let's just say the waiter had not seen anything and that night we were caught by Mr. Satpam when hugging in the car? This isn't the first one, so why should you be ashamed of it?" Entertain Arfan because Mentari is still down because of his embarrassment.

"If Grandma knew how?"

"That would be better if Grandma knew about it,"

answer Arfan casually.

"What does that mean?" think Mentari.

"Let's go in!" invite Arfan because Grandma is waiting for them to have lunch together.
