#23 Destiny
Arfan entered his room, laying down his tired body on the bed that felt cold because he had not used it for a long time. His mind looked far away thinking about Mentari, as well as the words of Bu Kartika to him plus related to the marriage that his Grandmother wanted.
"Grandmother is getting old how if Grandma leaves this world, you will be alone if you do not immediately have a companion, Grandma will not calm down if that happens."
Grandma Wijaya's words rang in her ears, although Arfan was always flat and indifferent, but in fact he was very thinking about what his Grandmother said. She didn't want her Grandma to be unhappy, she wanted to fulfill her Grandmother's wish, but what if the blessing wasn't obtained at the hands of the female parents she loved? She shouldn't have given up.
Arfan almost closed his eyes when his phone rang, at this time he has changed his sim card back because many people are in trouble when contacting him including Mentari who sends a lot of messages and also many missed calls from him.
Arfan frowned as the phone kept ringing and an unknown number contacted him. Arfan let the call go until it stopped. However, the voice of the call re-echoed.
"Hallo..," Arfan greeted an unknown person who contacted him.
"Son Arfan's Om, Mentari's father." Said Mr. Mahendra from across the phone.
How surprised Arfan is that Mr. Mahendra called him these nights.
"Well, can anyone help Arfan?"
"Can we meet tomorrow?"
Arfan scratched the nape of his neck that was not itchy, "Bi...can Om, where?" Answer then.
"Tomorrow Om tell me again, now Om closes first. Good night!"
The sleepiness that was suffering suddenly disappeared, Arfan like being electrocuted by thousands of voltages, in his mind came a variety of questions.
Before his shock disappeared, Mr. Mahendra added to Arfan's heartbeat faster because of the message he sent. Arfan seemed to seriously read the message Mr. Mahendra sent for him. His forehead was frowning out what means he could use to fulfill Mr. Mahendra's wishes.
The next day, Arfan was on campus as usual. Teaching until it is finished while waiting for Mr. Mahendra to tell the place where they will meet. Arfan came out of the lecturer room, somehow he wanted to take a walk in the university park Z to calm his mind and find a way to meet with Mentari today.
University Z is designed with many plants so that the atmosphere becomes beautiful and cool. Arfan sat by the fountain, looking at the birds that flew here and there freely. Arfan believes in destiny, so he does not go to find Mentari let fate bring them together if indeed they are paired. Mentari turned her body, venturing to look at the person who had prevented her from leaving.
Mentari rounded his eyeballs when he turned around turned out that Arfan was standing in front of him.
"You're cured?" asked Arfan as he walked closer.

Arfan kept on approaching without caring about Mentari who was preventing him. The mentari walked backwards, "What do you want, this is on campus that all sorts of things I'll scream!" threatening Mentari who felt disappointed with the attitude of Arfan lately which is like avoiding him.
Mentari is eager to support Arfan under any circumstances because of his love for the young man, but if he continues to be ignored then someone will definitely think if his existence is not needed.
Arfan smiled obliquely and continued to walk closer, Mentari turned frantically he unconsciously stepped on the stone behind him and almost slipped lucky Arfan swiftly caught his small body. Their eyes met for a while. There is no denying there is a longing between the eyes of the two, each storing an unstoppable longing. Misunderstandings that occur do drain a lot of energy and feelings.

"Sit down!" Arfan invited Mentari to sit on the chair he had just occupied.

"I promise I will never leave you again Mentari, I don't want to see these tears fall to the ground because you cry for me." Arfan looked at Mentari, in his heart he felt very guilty for being childish. However, he was grateful that fate had found them back to fix everything from the beginning.
Arfan stood up from his seat with one hand that he put into his pants pocket, "Let's get out of here!"
Mentari follows Arfan's steps towards the faculty where Arfan teaches to pick up his car keys before they leave. Arfan invites Mentari in, they meet with Mr. Rio.
"Sir Arfan is the girl I meant the other day." Said Mr. Rio who greeted Mentari with his smile.
"Good day sir, good to see you back." Sapa Mentari and Pak Rio reached out his hand to shake hands which was immediately greeted with Arfan's hand before Mentari reached out her hand.
Mr. Rio wagged his hand that felt a little pain because of Arfan's action, "Happy afternoon Miss, nice to meet Miss back here." Rio replied at the end with a smile because he understood the situation.
"So, sir, call me Mentari."
"The branch is so fierce Mentari!" said Mr. Rio a little whisper to Mentari who of course is still heard by Arfan.
"Where was the other day searched even did not meet, seems to play cat-kissing yes sir?" Mr. Rangga who was also in the room also mocked Arfan.
"Let's let's go, don't mind them weathered virgins!" reply Arfan no less fierce.
"So Mr. Arfan is not a weathered virgin!" pak Rio and Pak Rangga.
"See you next time, sir" Mentari waved her hand and smiled at the two lecturers before leaving.

"Where are we going, brother?" ask Mentari as soon as they are on a big road that is quite far from campus.
"Follow it!" answer Arfan.
Arfan stopped his car in front of a restaurant that had been told by Mr. Mahendra who promised to meet him this afternoon.
Arfan entered the room that has been ordered by Mr. Mahendra, since meeting with Mentari earlier in the park Arfan has established himself to defend the girl. He was ready to face anything as long as he could stay with Mentari including facing Mr. Mahendra who suddenly invited him to meet. A slightly nervous feeling enveloped Arfan as the door was opened by a servant in charge of serving them.
"Please..," the servant invited the two to enter.
There was no one in the room, it seemed that Mr. Mahendra was a little late. They sat side by side, Mentari felt his soul had returned. Meeting Arfan was like her life was perfect.
The door opened again, Arfan and Mentari turned to the door as they sat back to the door.
"Dad..," said Mentari who was surprised to see the arrival of his father, but not for Arfan who had been told by Mr. Mahendra before, but not for Arfan who had been told by him before, it's just that he felt a little nervous when he saw the face of Mr. Mahendra who was smiling towards him.
