#84 Wrong Calculation
Marryana approached Arfan's seat and greeted him.
"Hi Fan how are you?" Marryana's greeting to Arfan.
"I'm good An, how are you?" Ask Arfan formally.
"As you can see Fan, I'm good." Marryana answered, looking at Arfan's face.
"Congratulations An, you can become a lecturer at this campus." Arfan congratulated Marryana by shaking the woman's hand.
"Thank you, we'll meet often."
Arfan simply smiled and let go of their handshake as a different look emanated from Marryana's eyes as he looked at Arfan and from the way the woman smiled.
Arfan does not want Mr. Rio and the other colleagues to think that is not good about the two of them while Arfan himself is married to Mentari, although they have not yet held a reception but many already know if they are married.
Arfan glanced at the clock behind his shirt. It's time he picked up Mentari at the faculty next door.
"And I go first huh, welcome to university Z, hope you feel at home here."
Arfan left Marryana and rushed out of the lecturer room. He did not want to wait long. Arfan hopes Marryana's arrival this time does not create new problems for him.
Marryana was a little disappointed that Arfan hurriedly left her. Though he hopes to talk long with Arfan after a long time did not meet.
Marryana took a breath, "Maybe next time, I have to be patient to be able to pull your heart back Fan," he said softly.
Arfan picked up Mentari in front of his faculty gate, "Has it been a long wait?" Arfan asked as he opened the car door for his wife.
Mentari smiled, "Thank you, brother, I haven't been here long. Siska was also with me, but brother Arman picked her up."
"Really? Dare to be that guy." Arfan laughs to remember Arman's face which has now started to live well after working in his grandmother's company under the guidance of Uncle Faisal, he can develop faster.
While getting into the car, Arfan rubbed his hair gently.
"I love you dear" said Arfan made Mentari's heart melt.
"I love you too!" the girl replied with a big smile.
Arfan took Mentari to his grandmother's house, there's stuff that Arfan has to take there.
Arfan met with Mahmud's grandfather who seemed to be contemplating alone in the living room.
"Grandfather why are you alone here, grandma where's cake?" Ask Arfan to Mahmud's grandfather.
"Grandma was with aunt in Fan's back garden."
Arfan's view leads to Mentari, "Honey after grandma back there!"
Mentari understands the meaning of Arfan who might want to talk alone with Mahmud's grandfather.
Mentari left the two of them to speak, "Grandfather is there a problem?"
"Tell me cake, I'm ready to listen to grandpa."
Grandpa Mahmud seemed to hesitate a little, "My grandfather is grandfather's grandson, never doubt me cake."
Mahmud's grandfather tells about his ex-wife who is now coming back in his life that has been better even without them plus the woman asked him to refer back.
"Will grandfather take it back?" Tanya Arfan was curious.
"Grandfather still had a lot to think about Fan after what they did to grandfather in the past, even though I loved Mona because she was my son, indeed, my flesh and blood but to receive his mother back seems like grandfather is very heavy, but Mona keeps insisting that grandfather can accept his mother back."
"Yes my advice cake think carefully because we should not repeat the same mistakes, take all the lessons of the past and consider the good and bad as well."
Arfan encouraged Mahmud's grandfather, "Grandfather visits Mona's apartment frequently and doesn't have to tell her if grandfather is coming, find what they might cover up behind him. Find their sincerity or maybe the other way around."
Arfan leaves Mahmud's grandfather for having to take his things, after putting everything he needs into the bag, Arfan calls Mentari who is still in the back garden with grandma.
"Why are you in a hurry, son, have dinner here first. We'll cook these fresh vegetables first."
"Maybe next time just grandma, Mentari seems to be riweh with his college assignment." Reply Arfan who is ready to leave.
Bidding mentari to Grandma Wijaya and aunt, "Titip grandma ya bi, I go first." Mentari's message to aunt.
"Every non, aunt will always remember non Mentari's message."
Arfan drew closer to grandma to say goodbye, "Please watch over Grandpa Mahmud's nek, lest he fall a second time in the black valley in the past, don't let his life go back to suffering nek." Brisks Arfan to his grandmother who immediately understands where the direction of the conversation his grandson.
"Don't worry about it Fan, grandma will definitely be watching him well."
Arfan went to take Mentari to go home, in the middle of the journey Mentari remembered if there was a need for a house to buy, "So how about we stop by the supermarket first, then stop by, I have something to buy."
"Ah well then, let's go shopping!" Arfan agreed to Mentari's request with pleasure.
"It turns out this is what it's like to be a husband, why not just from the first yes," Arfan thoughtful as well as laughing at himself, Arfan glanced at Mentari who was busy with her phone.
They pick up shopping trolleys then choose the items they need.
"Is this enough?" Ask Arfan after they've been shopping around for a while.
"I want to find one more thing, brother, wait a minute." Mentari leaves Arfan to find the things he needs.
Now that they had finished paying at the cashier, they hurried to leave the shopping center with their groceries.
Arfan's phone rang when they hadn't reached the parking lot, "Darling you want to wait here or first, there's a phone from Tomi, I picked up for a second huh, who knows it's important."
"I'll just wait here, brother, there's a seat." Mentari pointed to a seat not far from where he was standing.
Arfan leaves Mentari after making sure the girl is safe in her place, he wanted to find a place that was a little not boisterous to lift the phone from Tomi because the shopping center tonight is crowded by people who want to shop or just walk around, not to mention the noise of vehicles passing by around it makes Arfan have to step aside a little in order to hear Tomi's voice.
Mentari sat down while playing mobile phone to eliminate her boredom because there were no friends for her to talk to.
"You're the Mentari who met me the other day in the stands during a futsal fight?" Marryana who saw the girl he knew at that time greeted Mentari.
"Sister Marry, brother is here too?" Ask the Mentari.
"Yes, I want to go shopping. What are you doing here yourself?"
"I also just finished shopping, sis," replied Mentari.
"You're alone or waiting for someone, can't you do this much shopping alone?" Marryana noticed a lot of stuff that was near Mentari.
"I'm not alone, brother, I'm with someone. He's on the phone for a second, brother, maybe he'll be here soon."
"Oh really, I'll keep you company while I wait."
"No need, sister, does not brother Marry want to shop later and then go to night."
"No problem Mentari any more my friend seems to have not arrived, we have an eight o'clock agreement here." Marryana looked at the watch in her hand.
"Looks like my friend's gonna be late, I'm gonna call him for a second."
Just as Marryana was sticking her phone in her ear, she was shocked by the presence of Arfan who seemed to be heading towards them. Marryana dropped her phone from her ear unconsciously, until the person she called seemed to be screaming from across the phone for being neglected.
"Let's let's get home, I'm done!" invite Arfan to Mentari who then lift their groceries.
"Wait for my brother, I'll introduce you to someone."
"Who's the Mentari?" Ask Arfan who finally dropped their groceries back.
"Aren you here too?" Marryana asked before Mentari could introduce the two of them.
"Yes An.. Why are you here?"
"Sister Marry and brother Arfan, do you know each other?" Mentari asked Marryana who was even ignored by the woman.
"I'm going shopping for Fan, waiting for a friend but he's not here yet." Maryana answered Arfan's question.
"Yes Mentari I already know Ana, she's my new partner at college. He's only been a lecturer for a few days at university Z." Reply Arfan so that Mentari is not disappointed because Marryana seems reluctant to answer Mentari's questions.
Smiling from Arfan's explanation, "Let's go home late!" Arfan invites Mentari to leave the place immediately.
"Sister Marry we go first, brother, happy shopping. I'm sorry I can't accompany you until your brother's friend gets here."
"It's okay Mentari come home!" Marryana felt that getting a breath of fresh air, she could use Mentari to get close to Arfan.
He thought that Arfan and Mentari were brothers seen from the faces of Mentari who was very young, but he forgot that Arfan had been abandoned by his parents since childhood so where maybe Arfan had a younger brother, especially from the way Arfan treated Mentari very gently.
Perhaps this time Marryana miscalculated because she thought they were.
