My Old Star
#58 Grandma Magic

Arfan lifted Mentari's body and carried her to the room, Arfan laid the girl's body on the bed and then covered her.

"Good sleep, baby." Arfan kissed Mentari's forehead then left the room for her to also go to rest.

Arfan lay on his bed staring at the ceiling, he was still thinking about Mona who turned out to be his own tant. Arfan could not imagine that Mona would someday live with him at grandma's house.

Whether at what time Arfan could just fall asleep because his mind drifted far, he had to accept the fact that he and Mona were brothers when Arfan had not liked Mona at all.

Arfan does not like the behavior of Mona who often does not think about the feelings of others. Arfan's mind goes back to the time where he was in Banjarnegara for a match tour, almost getting into Mona's trap. If at that time what Mona wants happens, it means that Arfan must marry his own aunt.

The next morning the sound of laughter from the kitchen made Arfan wake up, he looked around the dark but the kitchen was already very crowded.

Arfan got up from the bed to take the wudlu and then performed his morning worship.

Arfan went downstairs to see what the women in the kitchen were doing so that their voices were so loud that they could be heard all the way up.

Mentari saw Arfan coming down the stairs to the kitchen, "Sister is up?" Ask.

"Hmmmm..," answered Arfan while crossing his arms.

"Do we disturb your sleep, brother?"

"What are you guys doing?" Arfan asked back.

"Cooking for breakfast den," replied the aunt.

Arfan slightly glanced over the stove with the fire still burning, it was true that they were cooking for breakfast.

"I want to jog first, be careful not to be noisy later grandma woke up because of your voice!" Arfan gave them a warning.

Mentari smiled at Arfan's words, "Grandmother is here Fan!" granny Wijaya came out from behind with fresh vegetables she had just picked from the garden that was cared for by Mahmud's grandfather.

"Grandmother of the day with them?"

Grandma Wijaya nodded, "Grandmother is very happy Mentari is here, morning activities like this become more colorful."

"Yes grandma... Da... I already know where Grandma's going!" Arfan took a breath and threw it away slowly.

"One more thing, beware if you tell a story that is not about me to Mentari!"

"No promise aunt den!" answer aunt cuek by continuing to cook without seeing Arfan's irritated facial expression.

Arfan who was still upset left the kitchen to jog all the way outside looking for fresh air in the morning rather than his ears hurt to hear the babbling of the women in the kitchen.

"Fan can you talk to me for a minute?" Mahmud's grandfather approached Arfan who had just entered the yard after he had finished jogging.

"What's cake about?" Arfan asked as he positioned his body to sit on the terrace chair.

"Grandfather Fan's son, grandfather met him yesterday."

"Grandma told me about it last night cake."

"Your grandmother knew him, did you know him?"

Arfan nodded, "Is Fan really?" Mahmud's grandfather asks happily, which means he can meet Mona again.

"Can Grandpa ask you for help?"

"Seek how about the cake?"

"Grandfather misses the grandfather's daughter so much, you know because grandfather told you, may grandfather ask you for help, please bring grandfather to be able to meet him again Fan!" mahmud's grandfather really hopes Arfan can realize his wishes.

Arfan exhaled heavily, all this time he had been avoiding Mona. Where is possible if he has to deal with Mona at the moment. But on the other hand he also felt sorry to see Mahmud's grandfather who wished him so much.

"Will I think about the way the cake will be, I go in first want to take a shower, sultry cake."

Arfan left Mahmud's grandfather outside, he wanted to cool his brain with a splash of cold water. The thing he dislikes the most is dealing with Mona but why this time it is precisely fate that leads him to have to deal with the woman.

Now that they are at the dining table for breakfast together, Mentari has neatly arranged the food they had cooked together on the dining table.

"But here I added the side dishes!" Mentari asked Arfan's plate for him to fill with the side dish he had cooked.

While they were busy eating breakfast with a light chat, there was the sound of a bell being squeezed from outside.

Aunty rushed to open the door and saw who was coming to see you early in the morning.

"I'm sorry to find out who Miss is?" Ask Aunty.

"Hey old lady, I came here to visit a time not welcome to enter and asked who!" answer Mona ketus.

"Sorry lady, we're not used to receiving guests early in the morning. Please wait outside!"

Auntie again closed the door and did not allow Mona to enter the house.

"Who's here, why weren't you told to come in?" Ask grandma Wijaya.

"That's the madam, the witch who came!" aunty did give a nickname to Mona with the name of a witch, because Mona often comes to the house but her attitude from the past remains not good to see and hear.

Bibi always prayed that Arfan would not be a match with the woman, because the aunt thought that Mona was Arfan's lover who often came to the house, in contrast to Mentari first met aunty immediately liked the girl because of her gentle and friendly attitude and cheap smile.

"I'll meet him ahead, you guys keep the breakfast going!" granny Wijaya got up from her seat then headed to the terrace to meet Mona.

"What's the morning of coming here?" Ask Grandma Wijaya to the point.

"I want to see you, Grandma, she's inside, right?"

"Your father isn't here, it's wrong to look for him here because you said he didn't deserve to be your father, right?"

"I admit to being wrong, grandma, yesterday I was khilaf."

"Now I realize, you mean a lot to me, Grandma. I'll accept it no matter what the circumstances."

"I don't believe anything that comes out of your mouth Mona!"

At the same time, Mahmud's grandfather went outside because he was curious about the guests who came but were not welcome to enter, especially coupled with the nickname of the magic grandmother.

Grandpa Mahmud was surprised to see the mona outside, "Mona my son, are you coming, son?" Mahmud's grandfather runs out of the house, wanting to hug Mona, but hesitates that Mona will turn him down like yesterday.

Mona who saw the doubt from the face of Mahmud's grandfather then hugged his father first, actually Mona was reluctant but for her purpose she had to give up first at this time.

"As much as you are Mahmud, what do you want him to do. Take care of your problems because you're one family and I have no right to interfere!"

Grandma Wijaya re-entered the house, her appetite suddenly lost due to the arrival of Mona, plus her sister even seemed to not hold any revenge at all for Mona's treatment all along against her.

"Witchcraft's granny who's Grandma?" Ask Mentari.

"His name is Mona baby, you probably don't know her!"

"Uhukkk..," Arfan choked on the drink he was drinking.

"Are you okay, brother?" Mentari rubbed Arfan's back.

"I'm okay just surprised baby!"

"Why isn't Arfan like he used to be? Isn't she always cute, why hearing Mona's name surprised her?" Mentari.

Mentari seemed to remember the name of Mona that Wijaya's grandmother mentioned. It was as if he had heard that name, but nowhere.

Mahmud's grandfather takes Mona into the house and introduces Mona to everyone.

Mentari was surprised to see Mona meant by Wijaya's grandmother was Mona who had met him outside the city some time ago.

"Sister Mona, welcome to grandma's house?" Sapa Mentari kindly and with her best smile.

"Yes I'm Mona, surprised why am I here?"

Mentari grinned at not knowing what to answer, she meant well by greeting Mona but was answered with a non-connecting answer in her opinion, "It's worth everyone to call her a witch!" thought.
