My Old Star

My Old Star
#104 Spin Half

Arfan arrived at the house almost dawn, he brought his own key so there was no need to wake Mentari to be able to enter the house. Arfan picked up some drinking water in the kitchen before heading to his room.

Arfan opened the food cover that was still intact, the plate was still clean which means Mentari did not eat dinner because he was not at home.

"Start waiting for me!"

Arfan climbed up the stairs and opened the door of the room which was also unlocked from inside. The sun fell asleep without wearing a blanket, the rest of the tears still wrapped around his cheeks. The sun cries until it sleeps unconsciously.

Arfan crouched down in front of his sleeping wife, "I'm sorry baby, you must be waiting for me right?" Arfan kisses Mentari's forehead and picks up the phone on his wife's chest, as Mentari does not usually fall asleep with the phone still in his grasp. Arfan covered Mentari's body with a blanket thick enough to keep him from getting cold.

Arfan opened Mentari's phone because he was curious, how surprised he was when reading the headnews that Mentari also read.

"This must be what makes Mentari sad!" guess Arfan because the news really cannot be accounted for.

"The big boss is unbelievable or is this a provocation?" Thought Arfan.

Arfan thinks the news was deliberately made to keep him busy and out of focus with the team because of his personal affairs.

Arfan smiled obliquely, "What a crafty!"

Arfan lay beside Mentari after cleaning himself, he could not fall asleep other than because it was almost morning as well because he did not know what to explain to his wife when they woke up.

At the apartment, Mona is furious that she also read the news. It could be that Zaki's boss has Arfan as his son-in-law, even though Arfan is now married. There will be more and more competitors to get Arfan.

Mona suddenly thought, if possible she could take advantage of this situation to be able to separate Arfan with Mentari. He should be able to devise a plan and investigate who the son of the club boss is that he can bait.

Mona calls someone she orders to investigate the family of the person she's after.

"Do it right away and give me the information!" mona orders from behind her phone connection.

By morning, Mentari woke up from his sleep. He sees Arfan already by his side, at what time Arfan reaches home and he doesn't know it.

Mentari immediately carried out her morning routine, she was still reminded of the news last night. His eyes turned puffy and had to be immediately compressed so that Arfan did not know if he had finished crying last night.

Mentari went to the kitchen to prepare breakfast, while Arfan was still fast asleep because he was only able to sleep after the morning prayer.

Mentari returned to the room after finishing everything, she did not dare to wake Arfan who looked very tired. The scratches on his face implied a lot of burden he had to shoulder.

Mentari packed up to go to college, she booked a taxi online, wrote a message to Arfan that she put on the nightstand and then went to campus without waking her husband.

At noon Arfan woke up and found that the side of the bed next to him was empty. Arfan sat on the edge of the bed to see if the day had turned in half. Arfan searched for his wife but found no Mentari anywhere.

Arfan checked every corner of the house still in his sleeping pajamas, but found no sign of Mentari in the house.

The food was also on the table, still intact.

"Where's Mentari, why didn't he wake me up?" Her thought.

Arfan recalled that yesterday Mentari and Reza had talked about research that Arfan had not yet asked directly to Mentari.

Arfan rounded his eyeballs, "No. It's impossible for Mentari to leave without telling me!" muttered Arfan denied the fact that he could not let Mentari leave just like that even with a research location that he did not know about at all.

Arfan repeatedly contacted Mentari but did not get an answer, his message was not reciprocated because it was read by his wife.

"Actually where is he, why is it so hard to just answer the phone or reply to a message?"

At this point, Arfan was getting frustrated. Panic is now felt by him, he ran up to his room back to clean himself.

Out of the bathroom, Arfan just remembered that Siska might be able to provide information to him. Arfan approached the nightstand to pick up his phone and saw a piece of paper folded and placed under his phone.

Arfan opened the letter and read the contents.

Brother I went to college, sorry I didn't dare to wake you up.

Maybe today I will be busy so forgive me if it is difficult to contact because I kept my phone for a while.

I have prepared breakfast, if you wake up later do not forget to eat yes because if you do not eat I will definitely be sad.

Mentari

Arfan read word by word Mentari wrote, his joints now feel weak after a while ago had stiffened because of high enough concern.

Arfan sat at the dining table to fill his hungry stomach, he stared at the empty chair in front of him that Mentari used to sit on.

"It's a shame that if you really leave, I might not be able to stop myself from catching up with you because not just looking at you for a moment seems to drive me crazy." Arfan spoke with an empty bench in front of him.

Arfan had just finished his meal and washed the dishes he had just used. The sound of the front door bell being pushed by someone.

Arfan went ahead to open the door for his guests who seemed impatient because they pushed the bell up many times.

"Why are you here An, shouldn't you be on campus today?" Arfan asked as soon as he saw Marryana at his doorstep.

"Do you think I can calm down before I find you, I didn't see you on campus today. So how could I possibly endure waiting for you until you come Fan!" Marryana spoke with an irregular breath as if something big had happened and was in a hurry to get her to Arfan.

"My wife isn't home, so we'd better talk on the porch!"

"You think I still want you, so you're prejudiced that I'll take a chance in narrowness?" Marryana is very upset that Arfan prevented her from entering the house.

"I was just anticipating An, no other means!" Arfan spoke very flat and expressionless then sat on the chair on the porch of his house without feeling the slightest guilt.

Marryana sat across from Arfan, "Say what do you want to say An?!"

"This is about my Papi Fan, have you read the news?"

Arfan nodded, "I read it last night."

"Did he come to you?"

"Of course it's true, if it's not true where the news might appear An!"

"My father really made me feel cornered, did he think I did not sell to the extent of having to ask a husband for someone to make him a son-in-law, even willing if his son became a second wife!"

"Our parents' point of view and our point of view are different An, but obviously Papi you want the best for you An."

"What did you answer Fan?"

"I have my own point of view An, haven't you also already told me if you want Zaki and will let me go?"

"Does that mean you reject me?"

Arfan smiled, "I just want to have a wife, Mentari for me is more than enough!"

Marryana seemed a little disappointed to hear the answer from Arfan because it means if he was never in the heart of Arfan goods though.

"I have to go to college now, do you want to go with An?" Arfan pulled the watch on his wrist that was behind the long-sleeved shirt he was wearing.

"I brought Fan's own car, besides I have other interests that must be resolved immediately."

"Well An, ask your Papi to pull the news, otherwise you will bear the shame yourself!"

Marryana bit her lower lip, drawing anxiety in the corner of her clear eyes.

"I'll go An, take care of yourself!"

Arfan drove his car on a big road after parting ways with Marryana. At the moment the woman's goal is to go to her Papi's club, she must meet with Zaki immediately so that there is no misunderstanding between them after the spread of news last night that seemed very disturbing to her.

Mona just got the information from the person she ordered to conduct the investigation.

"Marryana?" Read Mona.

"Is Marryana really the daughter of the owner of the club, why didn't she tell me before?"
