Ch 20: Unexpected Guest

In Naruto Chapter 34, Hiruzen announces that the Chunin exam will begin on "the first day of the seventh month," or July 1. I would assume that the Zabuza bow etc. would take about two weeks, so now Sanada and his team have about a month and a half or two before the start of the Chunin.} Exam

- A few days later, Konoha gates, POV Team 8. -

After some boring D-Rank missions, Kurenai finally gives Hinata and the others a chance to perform a C-Rank mission.

It was their first C-Rank mission, and the team completed it with great excitement.

After completing their first C-Rank mission, the team returns to Konoha, but Kurenai says he wants to treat his students with some food.

"So, what do you want to eat?" Kurenai said as the foursome finally reached the gates of Knoha.

"Sensei, I want a BBQ!" Kiba said excitedly.

"Umm. I think the BBQ is a bit too expensive. How about Ramen?" Hinata is a little shy, but she is still worried about the state of her Sensei wallet.

"I also think that ramen is good advice.." Shino.

The three, this time, did not reach a consensus. Usually if a situation like this happens, the party with the larger number will win the debate. But since Kiba was too loud and the other two people were too shy, the situation was deadlocked.

In the end, Hinata could only ask Kurenai about what she wanted to eat.

"Sensei. ummm... Do you have any recommendations?" Hinata said as she left Kiba and Shino, who were still arguing about food, and came to Kurenai.

Upon hearing Hinata's question, Kurenai pondered for a while, but she finally remembered what her friend had recommended.

He looked at Kiba and Shino, who were still at a dead end about what to eat, and sighed.

The restaurant's appearance wasn't too bad but combined with its shady location, Kiba couldn't see how this restaurant could give them a good meal.

"Sensei. if it's too expensive, Ramen is fine too, I guess..."

Yup, when Kiba saw this restaurant, the first thing he thought about was that his Sensei was short of money, and could not treat them with anything expensive.

However, even after hearing this, Kurenai simply smiled and ignored Kiba's words.

He opened the door to the Restaurant, and all four were greeted by the restaurant's traditional and cozy-looking architecture.

Kurenai found a place to sit with his student, but how shocked he was when he found the person he knew was enjoying a meal at the Restaurant.

A figure in casual clothes and purple hair was sitting on one of the chairs in the Restaurant, enjoying the chicken karaage in front of him. Her face could be said to be beautiful, and it gave the feeling of a strong and independent woman upon seeing her.

"Yugao??"

Yup, the previous figure is none other than one of the Anbu Konoha and one of the most beautiful female characters in the Naruto anime, Yugao Uzuki. A few days earlier, he had found this Restaurant when he had a fight with his girlfriend Hayate Gekko, and since then, he had become a regular customer at this Restaurant.

Kurenai knew this restaurant was also because of him. She had told Kurenai about this restaurant before, but she never expected that she would meet Kurenai at this Restaurant today.

The two companions chatted for a while as Kurenai told his students to sit down and choose their own menu.

But as always, when two women talk to each other, the topic will not be far from their man or boyfriend.

"So, where's Hayate? It's rare to see you eating alone in a restaurant." - teased Kurenai.

"Huh, what about him? Why should I enjoy my dinner with such a jealous bastard..." Yugao.

Then, he began to explain the state of his relationship with Hayate to Kurenai, who seemed to have been in a dead end recently.

After they fought a few days ago, Yugao met the owner of the Restaurant, and they became close enough friends since it didn't take long for Yugao to become a regular visitor here.

However, one day, when Yugao was about to enjoy his dinner here once again, Hayate came out of nowhere and accused him of cheating on him with the restaurant owner, and this made Yugao very angry.

The two entered a big fight afterwards and had not spoken at all since then.

"Well, it's basically all stories. Then what about you? How's Asuma?" This time it was Yugao's turn to tease Kurenai.

But contrary to Yugao's expectations, Kurenai easily brushed him off as if there was nothing between them.

" Hahaha, what about Asuma? We're just friends." Kurenai.

Yugao realizes that his temptation has failed, but he is not willing to give up.

"Hmm.. So you're single then? Then how about I introduce you to the restaurant owner? He looks quite young and handsome, at least to my standards."

Before Kurenai could say anything, Yugao had raised his hand and shouted to the restaurant owner.

"Bos, come! I want to introduce you to my friend!"

"Wait, I'm not here for this!" Kurenai blushed as she never thought that her friend would actually do this.

But at this moment, a figure with coral hair and a charm as high as nine out of ten came out from the kitchen and greeted the two.

"Hmm.. You called Yugao?" Sanada said as he walked out of the kitchen only to see two beautiful women sitting in his restaurant.
