Ch 55: After the Chunin Exam

Sanada slashed upwards.

This move is the culmination of all of Sanada's current abilities together.

In fact, at its core this move was just a simple slash but as Sanada combined it with all the skills he possessed, it became extremely complicated.

*Cut!!!*

Slashes released.

A crescent-shaped slash of water with some crackling thunder split even the sky in two and everything it went through was finally easily sliced apart.

Orochimaru wanted to hide, but he knew it was too late.

It was at this extreme that Orochimaru knew he had awakened the sleeping monster.

The slash enveloped the entire area and the next thing Sanada knew, Orochimaru's figure was gone.

The two Hokage controlled by Orochimaru fell silent and stopped moving indicating that their controllers were gone.

In such a situation, you could easily assume that Orochimaru was dead. However, Sanada himself knows how difficult it is to kill a cockroach from a criminal, and knows he is unlikely Orochimaru will be killed easily.

In the cave filled with various summoning marks, Yakushi Kabuto knelt on one knee as if waiting for someone to come.

Shortly thereafter the figure of Orochimaru appeared before him.

When Orochimaru's life is in danger, he immediately uses a reverse summoning jutsu to escape his predicament.

After all, there was no point in staying in Konoha any longer. He was a little interested in Sanada but in the end, Sanada was not an Uchiha or anything like that so Orochimaru was still more interested in Sasuke.

"Reporting to Orochimaru-Sama, we failed to contact Uchiha Sasuke. By the time our shinobi managed to corner Sasuke's Uchiha, Hatake Kakashi and Guy Might came to interfere."

Yakushi Kabuto reported while still kneeling.

Back in Konoha, everything was quickly settled after Sanada defeated Orochimaru.

Sanada comes to help the other Konoha shinobi repel the invaders and with Sanada's seemingly endless stamina using water breathing, battles afterwards a piece of cake for Sanada.

One day has passed and the only thing left is to deal with the side effects of the incident.

The fact that Kazekage had been killed by Orochimaru was acknowledged by Sunagakure and now they are trying to resolve the issue diplomatically with Konoha.

Things may still be very difficult for the higher-ups, but it's none of Sanada's business.

Sanada was enjoying his lunch with his three students with Karin happily when all this happened.

But suddenly, some masked ninjas come to interrupt Sanada's happy time.

Yup, just like the first time he came to this world, he was once again summoned to the Hokage's office. This time though Sanada had a bad feeling about it.

The ninja masks in front of him are quite different from the previous ANBU and if Sanada is not mistaken they are definitely from Root.

If Sanada is not mistaken, this must be related to the Third Hokage and Orochimaru, and Danzo the cyclop must have a black hand for Sanada. But as long as he is ready and not afraid, everything will be fine, he thought.

Either way, the cat was already out of the bag, and now Sanada only had two options. To confront them or be silent and accept the role given to him.

Between the two, Sanada's choice was pretty obvious. With his current status as a Kage level, the board and Danzo should not have done anything too excessive to him.

It didn't take long for them to arrive at the Hokage's office. Inside the office, Hokage Utatane Koharu's advisor Mitokado Homura and an old man with bandages all over his body: Danzo Shimura, were waiting for him.

Next to them was an old man with white hair who was none other than one of the legendary Sannins: Jiraiya, and a middle-aged man with many scars on his face: Shikaku Nara.

Just by seeing these people sitting together in the same room, Sanada already knew that this would be a complicated matter.

Sanada was just about to say his regards but he didn't get the chance when Utatane Koharu beat him up.

"Well, you're the one who kicked Orochimaru out, right? We have to say you did a good job of doing that. But...."

Sanada felt the atmosphere getting tense as Koharu's advisor said those words.

The bad feeling from before grew stronger as he waited for Koharu to continue.

"We've read your track record. Half a year ago, you just became Jonin and now you're telling me that you can grow this much in this short period of time? Maybe I'd have more faith if you said that you were a Jonin. schemed with Orochimaru!"

"...."

*Sigh*So this is really about this, huh?

Sanada was silent for a while because his heart felt very tired. The village was now in a huge mess, so why did this bastard bother to start fighting.

The most undesirable thing is happening right now. Fortunately, Sanada currently had enough strength to protect himself.

The current Sanada no longer wanted to become a pussy. He had enough to let the water flow, and now was the time to tell the three old women that there was someone in the village that they should not touch no matter what.

Sanada turned his gaze towards Koharu, Homura, and Danzo, all watching him with suspicious eyes as he opened his mouth once more:

"But if you want answers from me. I am the Shinobi of Konoha, and until I die, I will become the Shinobi of Konoha. I think that's enough for an explanation...

Everyone thought Sanada had finished his words, but the next sentence Sanada said even made Danzo furious.

"And if you want me to answer as you please, I think you should become Hokage first... But no offense, I don't think you'll be able to reach that position with your personality and strength."
