NIGHT BUTTERFLY

NIGHT BUTTERFLY
#222

Before returning home, Rianti invited Zaebon to pray dhuhur first in one of the mosques built by the late Sulastri in the suburbs. Arriving at home, he had found a capsule antelope used by Mr. Guru Izzul Islam. Apparently, Master Izzul Islam and Jamila had arrived first at home.

The atmosphere inside the house looked lonely. When he entered his room, he found Master Izzul Islam sleeping. Azka herself was probably in Jamila's room. Rianti took off her bag on the table. He then laid his body slowly beside Master Izzul Islam.

"Just home?"

Rianti. He smiled as Master Izzul Islam rubbed his eyes. Rianti rubbed the arms of Master Izzul Islam.

"Did I wake you?" Rianti.

"No." Master Izzul Islam covered his mouth with the back of his palm as it evaporated.

"It's time to wake up. Almost ashar," said Master Izzul Islam. He then rested his body.

"Would you sleep?" said Mr. Guru Izzul Islam. Rianti.

"Just lie down. All the bodies of Pegel's sisters," replied Rianti. Master Izzul Islam turned towards Rianti.

"Where's Layla's sister?"

"Sorry sister first to the pink beach. After that, the confused sister wanted to invite Layla to talk where," said Rianti. He leaned his body beside Master Izzul Islam. Rianti yawned, his head then leaned on the shoulders of Master Izzul Islam.

Rianti gave a long sigh. Master Teacher Izzul Islam glanced at him. He had been waiting for a long time but Rianti had not told him about the results of his conversation with Layla. Even he saw Rianti close his eyes. Master Izzul Islam moved his shoulders where Rianti's head rested. Rianti tried to hold back her smile. He pretended to snore.

Master Izzul Islam smiled. He pointed his index finger towards Rianti's stomach and tickled her. Rianti who had a spontaneous pang of curiosity pulled his body backwards. His body almost fell out of bed. Lucky Master Izzul Islam quickly caught his body. Even so, Rianti was still laughing holding her stomach.

"Have, can not be excessive.Later your memorization is lost," said Master Izzul Islam while lifting the body plan Rianti and leaning back.

"Astaghfirullahal Adzim" said Rianti. He let out a long sigh while fixing his sitting position. Rianti glanced towards Master Izzul Islam. He patted her cheek softly. Master Izzul Islam who understood the gesture given by Rianti, Master Guru Izzul Islam immediately kissed Rianti's cheek gently.

"I've spoken at length with Dik Layla about the matter. Frankly, I like Layla myself. Even if Brother Tuan does not please, I will try to get Brother Tuan to marry him." Rianti stopped his words. He smiles. Master Izzul Islam tilted his lips.

"I haven't had the chance to make the terms for him yet, but he seems to have decided on his own. He apologized for something he considered rude. He sincerely buried his desire to marry Brother Tuan. Not because he was afraid of me" said Rianti. He returned a long sigh. The clothes he was wearing were removed and left only the t-shirts inside.

"What did my sister give him?" ask Master Izzul Islam.

"Memorized Qur'an 30 juz," Rianti replied briefly.

"Pantes, maybe in Layla feels unable," said Mr. Izzul Islam. Rianti.

"I don't think that's why, Brother Master. I could see it from his attitude and the look on his face. I'm sure he's a good boy."

Master Guru Izzul Islam gave a long sigh.

"Thank God, he can focus on college. Later, he can serve here," said Master Izzul Islam. Rianti nodded back. Master Izzul Islam frowned.

"If you obey your sister's wishes, and religion allows it, maybe I have the most wives here" said Mr. Izzul Islam Guru. Rianti smiled. He held the hand of Master Izzul Islam and kissed him. He then placed the hand of Master Izzul Islam on his neck.

Adzan Ashar. The two looked solemn' answering adzan. After praying after the reverberation of the Adhan, the two simultaneously rose up to take the water of ablution'.

* * * * *

Inak Nurmah looks impatient to open the bag of crackle that was given Abdul Khalik earlier when visiting the house of Mr. Guru Izzul Islam. There's a lot of food in the crackle bag. Some wet bread, which was enough to prop up her stomach, was also the stomach of her sick daughter for three days later. Because of the dire circumstances since the death of her husband a year ago, she and her daughter have been accustomed to eating only one loaf of bread to last one day. He also could not rely on his daughter to work. A year ago, he suddenly lost his appetite. His body was getting thinner and now he was just sluggish in his reot bed.

The small house he occupied was also no longer taken care of. The walls are only made of raw brick and are decades old. Nothing has changed. Her husband's work, which was only a manual labor, could not even just replace the leaky roof. Now he is old and weak. The girl who should take care of him, rolled weak.

He believes the cause is in the boarding house owned by Mukarom, as soon as he called Master Izzul Islam. Before her child's illness got worse and was still able to speak, the girl always advised her not to go to the boarding school. He followed his son's orders. But when he was tired of seeing his son's terrible condition, he decided to go to the boarding school. Twice, but he never met. Fortunately he met one of the students and gave him food and some money.

He only had time during the day to get out. In the morning he worked on rice winnowing at the rice house in his village. But because twice this time he did not meet with Mr. Guru Izzul Islam, and on the advice of Abdul khalik, he will not go out to work tomorrow morning. Early in the morning he will go there. The money given by Abdul Khalik is still left seventy thousand remaining ojek fare. It's okay to use it for another fare to the house of Master Izzul Islam tomorrow.

Inak Nurmah approached and sat down beside the girl lying down. Then he opened the bread pack. The bread was then put in a bowl and poured water. The bread in the bowl is then stirred with a spoon. He did it like that so that his weak daughter could directly swallow him.

Inak Nurmah said he was feeding her into the girl's mouth when she suddenly looked at him. As a mother, she knew very well the meaning behind her gaze. Before the pain was too severe, he often saw the gaze when he told him that he wanted to meet the Master Izzul Islam. When he came home with food, that gaze was also what the girl often showed. He thought the food he brought was a gift from Master Izzul Islam.

Inak Nurmah smiled as she showed her black teeth. As if he wanted to show his daughter that he had followed his will. Not begging, let alone meet Master Izzul Islam to tell the situation.

Inak Nurmah nodded. His hands were shaking for too long withholding the spoon, thrusting it closer to the girl's mouth. The girl's lips were like it was hard to move. Inak Nurmah advanced his body closer. After the girl's mouth managed to open with the help of her hand, she directly put the spoon into her mouth. There was no chewing motion visible from the girl's mouth. And so is his throat. I don't know where the bread crumbs he's been feeding. Clearly, he was a little calm because there was food coming into the mouth of his daughter.

"One more time, son. Let's have some more energy. Pity Mother, Son. Mom is old. I don't know until when I can take care of you. Come on, boy, don't add to your grief because you don't want to eat" Inak Nurmah said in a pleading tone. The girl's eyes did not blink looking at Nurmah's face. Tears flowed on his dull face.

Inak Nurmah smiled. The plea to her succeeded in making the girl melt. It was visible from both lips that were like trying to move it. Inak Nurmah is excited. He again took the bread crumbs in a bowl with a spoon in his hand. As he did in the first experiment, the bread crumbs in a spoon were successfully put into the mouth of his daughter.

Inak Nurmah was relieved. Half a slice of bread was successfully spent by the girl. It was the most food that her son ate. In the days before, only water came in.

"Son, whatever sadness you feel, look at me. Until when can I take care of you like this. Which makes you last able to walk everywhere, can even move your hands, it's because I think of you. Who will take care of you if mom is dead. Who will take care of your body if you die. Healthy, Son. Make me have hope again. At least you want to eat like this. It's time for me to take a break, son," Inak Nurmah said. The girl's tears kept flowing. Inak Nurmah occasionally wiped away the tears that flowed towards her ear hole.

"Mother says this isn't because I'm angry about your condition, son. Especially bored. I don't want to make you cry like this either. I just want you to be healthy" Inak Nurmah said. There was no crying in his eyes. Her crying was already dry she had spent a long time before.

Inak Nurmah got up and stepped staggeringly close to the girl's head. His rough and wrinkled hands began to tidy up his son's hair that had already fused with each other. Slowly he brought his mouth closer and kissed his son's forehead.

"Rest. I want to lay my body down for a while outside" said Inak Nurmah. The girl could only look at him. Inak Nurmah slowly turned her body and stepped her heart out of the house.

Dusk began to dock. All that remains of the sun is its light on the surface of the clouds. The dark began to fall. The darkness that begins to distinguish the poor and the rich. When the other houses were filled with light the lights were a few whatts. When the television is on twelve hours and sometimes watching the audience fall asleep. When each house has three meals, Nurmah's house is only illuminated by one small teplok lamp in the corner of the room. The spectacle of Inak Nurmah was only her skinny little girl in her shabby bed. And a slice of bread for one meal.

The night is getting darker. The crickets and the noise of the night began to growl, as if to say;

Look at your poor neighbor. Is there any rice to eat tonight? The smell of the food you cook may be smelled in their noses. Take him a little to rinse his swallowed saliva. So that tomorrow, he has a little energy even just to say "Alhamdulillah."
