NIGHT BUTTERFLY
#228

"Sir, wait."

Master Izzul Islam looked back. He frowned when he saw Rianti walking quickly towards him. He stopped his steps and waited for Rianti.

"Well, didn't you just go inside?" asked Master Teacher Izzul Islam while pointing far away to the end of the passage in front of him after Rianti was nearby. Rianti smiled while holding the hand of Master Izzul Islam.

"I did, but I came out for a while. Nih, I bought fruit for mother and Zulhiyani," said Rianti, revealing a bag of crackles in his hand. He then invited Master Izzul Islam to continue the journey.

"How are the lab results, Brother Tuan?" rianti asked as he glanced at the hand of Master Teacher Izzul Islam who held the results of Zulhiyani's lab. Master Izzul Islam sighed.

"The doctor's estimate, Zulhiyani's life expectancy is only ten percent. But we will still try to treat it because we do not know what God's plan for Zulhiyani," said Mr. Guru Izzul Islam. Rianti.

"May there be a miracle. May Allah cure his illness" said Rianti expectantly and immediately adored Master Izzul Islam.

A few more steps will arrive in front of Zulhiyani's room, Rianti withdraws the hands of Master Izzul Islam and invites him to stop. He put his finger on his lips while slowly approaching the door. He hears the recitation of the holy verses of the Qur'an from within. Master Izzul Islam who did not understand Rianti's intentions, joined his hearing. The melodious voice that was still shrouded in hoarseness, was definitely not the voice of Suhaini or Nur Jamila. If it was Zulhiyani's voice, he doubted that Zulhiyani would still have trouble speaking. The sound was so clear from outside the room.

Rianti slowly opened the door. Just to look into the room. Suhaini and Jamila sat to the right of Zulhiyani's bed. Each of them held a small mushaf in their hands. Looking at Zulhiyani's lips which were moving clearly with gazing up, it seemed that both of them were listening to Zulhiyani's recitation of the Qur'an.

Rianti looked at Master Izzul Islam.

"Zulhiyani, Brother Tuan. He turned out to be a recorder of the Qur'an," whispered Rianti. Master Izzul Islam raised both eyebrows. He nodded his head and looked back as several clinic attendants passed behind him.

"Come, let's just go in, it's not good to see the nurse," asked Master Izzul Islam. Rianti nodded. Slowly, he opened the door again. Noticing the arrival of Master Izzul Islam and Rianti, Suhaini and Jamila immediately got up from their seats and stood bowing their heads in salute. Zulhiyani is seen trying to lift her body, but Rianti hurriedly approaches and holds her back.

"Oh, you lie down. It's okay" Rianti said as she sat on the chair. Suhaini immediately brought a chair beside her and placed it beside Rianti sitting down. Master Izzul Islam is welcome to sit down. Rianti's smile expands.

"Do you remember the Qur'an?" ask Rianti. Zulhiyani lowered her gaze blushed in embarrassment. Her face flushed. Especially when he saw Master Teacher Izzul Islam sitting so close to his body.

"There are three more juz Zulhiyani khatam, Bu Nyai, left" Suhaini replied when he saw that Zulhiyani had never answered Rianti's question. Rianti's face looked cheerful. His smile was incessantly fluttered. He looks so happy.

"Yes, God. Subhanallah!" Rianti got up and stepped towards the Nurmah stage with an unceasing smile. He then invited Nurmah's inak to sit near Mr. Guru Izzul Islam.

"Masya Allah, Ma'am, look, the mother's son turned out to be a memorizer of the Qur'an. Did you know that he memorized the Qur'an?" asked Rianti enthusiastically.

"Subhanallah, look, Mom. Look at the mother's son. She's the most precious diamond for mom."

Inak Nurmah nodded his head. Zulhiyani's head was rubbed and kissed.

"Zulhiyani must recover quickly and get out of this hospital. We're going to create a tahfidz program in the pesantren. Long enough goals and not yet accomplished. It's enough that the three of us manage it. Me, you and Nyai Jamilah's mom" Rianti said excitedly. Zulhiyani smilingly nodded her head with the gaze of the eyes she still subdued.

"Come, let me memorize it. Still strong, right?"

Zulhiyani nodded slowly. Rianti glanced towards Master Izzul Islam. Seeing the unflagging Zulhiyani also raised his gaze because he was ashamed of the existence of Master Izzul Islam, he touched the arm of Master Izzul Islam with his elbow. Master Teacher Izzul Islam who understood the sign of Rianti's eyes immediately rose.

"Ok, then I want to find coffee first" said Mr. Izzul Islam as he rose from his seat. After that, he stepped out of the room.

"Come, I'll help you finish your memorization. The verses in the last letters are easy. Short again. I'm sure, once you're out of the hospital, you'll be scared. His art met the reciter of the Qur'an," said Rianti while improving his sitting position near Zulhiyani. He really looks excited.

"Suhaini, Nur Jamila, take mom to eat cake and fruit first there. Let the Zulhiyanya also concentrate," Rianti told Suhaini and Nur Jamila who were still standing on the other side of Zulhiyani's bed. The two nodded and approached Nurmah's inak who was sitting leaning against the sofa in the corner of the room.

Slowly Zulhiyani began to get used to the friendliness and familiarity that Rianti showed. At first he was still embarrassed to start reading, slowly he began to smoothly remember verse by verse the Qur'an he read.

* * * * *

Meanwhile. The atmosphere in the Al-aziziyah boarding school looked crowded. On the terrace of the mosque as well as shady corners and under a tree growing in front of the dormitory, santri-santri are seen enjoying their lunch break after school and dhuhur prayer. Inside the mosque there is a small halaqoh-halaqoh where some santri are listening to each other recite their Qur'an.

In the corner of the mosque dormitory princess, Layla looks solemn' leaning. In his hands a small mushaf that he occasionally looks at when there are verses that he does not remember. In the afternoon, there will be a memorization deposit. So far he feels confident with the memorization of three juz that he has memorized. He uses his time to repeat his rote before depositing later in the afternoon. But there was something a little different about Layla's face. It was seen when he often looked towards the mushaf in his hand. He looks a little upset. It turns out that a lot of his memorization has been lost. Sometimes the sequence, sometimes memorized at the beginning, forgets in the middle of the letter. He was more upset because many of the verses from the earlier surahs he memorized simply disappeared. Said his senior, it was something natural. Sometimes because of the memorization, we forget to repeat the memorization that has passed. The desire to quickly shut down as soon as possible is often the cause. But such a situation made Layla sultry. The cool corner of the mosque with the wind that is constantly blowing, unable to repel the sweat that began to reach his body. Repeat again and he still gets the same situation. Too much memory is lost. Because of his annoyance, Layla unconsciously suddenly threw Mushaf in his hand to hit the mosque wall.

"Astahfirullah!

Spontaneous Layla surged in shock. He immediately got up and took the mushaf. He ceaselessly kissed the mushaf while continuing to say Istighfar.

Layla returned to her body. He let out a long sigh while closing his eyes. For a moment he was silent about what he had just done. Desperation began to fill his mind. Memorizing the Qur'an was not as easy as he had imagined. He is a type that is easy to memorize but easily forget. His obsession to quickly circumcise the Qur'an up to thirty juz made him neglect to repeat the previous rote. He began to think about retreating. The pesantren were definitely no match for him. If you have to repeat again memorizing from the beginning will certainly be very painful. What if he had already memorized thirty juz? Of course the more memorization he will maintain. All the questions and the thoughts that shook began to become Layla's consideration. Deciding to survive or find another place that suits his ability.

Layla let out a long sigh and raised her body slowly. For a moment he stared at some of the students who seemed to enjoy listening to the recitation of the Qur'an from another friend. Layla nodded and turned her body. He decided to go back to his dorm.
