NIGHT BUTTERFLY

NIGHT BUTTERFLY
#249

Layla was still sitting in front of her bedroom window after Mr. Nurasmin informed her that Master Izzul Islam had called her at dawn. This morning Master Izzul Islam will come to visit his house. I don't know, he couldn't deny the happiness in his heart. I don't know if the happiness he feels right now has anything to do with his dream last night. What is clear, his whereabouts are now sitting in front of the window of his room since he finished breakfast, signalling that he is looking forward to the arrival of Master Izzul Islam.

After several hours of waiting, the long-awaited ones finally came as well. A silver-colored capsule car honked its horn once before stopping in front of the gate. Layla took a deep breath, like she was about to let out an abundant sense of happiness in her heart. The sound of his heartbeat was like a clash with the thump in his chest. Both his legs were shaking. It was as if he could not lift his body. Especially when he saw Fahmi out of the car, after Mr. Izzul Islam who came out from the next door. Now they are in the position he saw in his first dream. Fahmi in front and Master Teacher Izzul Islam in his arms. But when Mr. Nurasmin opened the gate, their position changed. Fahmi stepped back and stood behind Master Teacher Izzul Islam. It was also the position he saw in his dream. Behind the two, following Rianti, Qurratul Aini and Jamila.

"Yes, God, which of the two are you pointing to in my dream." Inner Layla. He sighed while smiling. Whoever is a companion of his life, he testifies to himself, the two men are devout men. Otherwise, God will not show them both in his dreams.

Geck, Tok, tok!

Layla surprised. He immediately got up. Before opening the door, he stepped towards his mirror and smeared a bit of make up on his face.

Outside her bedroom door, Sofia smiled. Layla's face looks red and bright cheerful.

"Subhanallah, you're beautiful today, son," said Sofia's mother immediately fixed the hijab that Layla wore. Layla smiles. He then took Sofia to the living room.

Rianti smiled as Layla approached to regret it. Before Layla was about to greet the others, Rianti held her back for a moment while watching Layla. Layla who was noticed only bowed blushed in embarrassment.

"What the hell is it, brother. I guess people never see me" Layla said. Rianti smiled.

"You are so different now. If it wasn't for my family, I would have been sad to greet you," Rianti said as he let go of his handrails. Layla just smiled as she approached them one by one.

"Frankly Mr. from the discussion with your mother, the collision Nak Izzul called early in the morning," said Mr. Nurasmin began the conversation. Layla herself went straight to the kitchen to prepare a drink.

"There's something very important, sir. But because this has something to do with Layla, then we wait in Laylanya first," replied Master Izzul Islam. Mr. Nurasmin nodded his head. Shortly after, Layla shows up with a drink.

Master Izzul Islam turned his head towards Rianti, Jamila and Qurratul Aini.

"How sisters. Are we gonna start?" asked Master Izzul Islam after Layla sat next to Sofia's mother.

"Faster is better, Brother Tuan," replied Rianti. Jamila and Qurratul Aini nodded in agreement. Master Izzul Islam improved his sitting position. The turban wrapped around his neck placed it on Rianti's lap.

"I started yes, Sir, Ma'am," said Master Izzul Islam. Mr. Nurasmin and Ms. Sofia nodded their heads.

"Bismilbornrahmanirrahim. In the Qur'an, Adzariyat verse 49, Allah says. "And all things We have created in pairs that ye may remember the greatness of God. Allah is Most True with His Word,”

Master Teacher Izzul Islam took a long breath. He stared at Nurasmin, Sofia and Layla. Layla's chest is pounding.

"Father, Mother and Dik Layla must have begun to understand the verse that I have read earlier," said Mr. Guru Izzul Islam. Mr. Nurasmin smiled. He looked towards Sofia.

"Frankly, you don't understand yet, son," said Mr. Nurasmin. The people present were smiling. Master Izzul Islam drank his coffee. Fahmi, who sat next to him and just lowered his head, poked him to sip his drink.

"It's okay, sir. But I'm sure Dik Layla must have understood" said Mr. Izzul Islam. Layla smiles.

"Come, Brother Master. Straight away," said Rianti impatiently. Jamila poked her thigh and leaned her head on Rianti's shoulder

"Patience" whispered Jamila. Rianti smiled.

"So, his Master's brother is too circling around," Rianti whispered.

"Alright, Sir, Mom. Because the congregation is not able to stand it, I just go straight. We came here to propose to Dik Layla" said Mr. Izzul Islam. Mr. Nurasmin and Ms. Sofia looked at each other. After that they both turned their heads towards Layla who was still bowing her head. His red face held in shame because the view now all led to him.

"I'm sorry, Son Izzul. If you'd have known, who would have proposed to Layla?" ask Mr. Nurasmin. Master Izzul Islam smiled.

"A change of plans?" jamila whisper. Rianti shrugged both of his shoulders.

Master Izzul Islam mendehem. He smiled as he fixed his sitting position.

"I would like to propose to Dik Layla for Dik Fahmi, Sir, Ma'am" said Mr. Izzul Islam Guru. Rianti, Jamila and Qurratul Aini simultaneously sighed shortly and looked at each other.

"Sister is indeed the master of mengeprank," said Rianti. Master Izzul Islam smiled without looking.

Mr. Nurasmin turned towards Layla.

"Your little sister is here, all her decisions Father and Mother leave to her," said Mr. Nurasmin who was immediately greeted by a nod to the head of Sofia's mother.

Mr. Guru Izzul Islam signaled to Rianti to take over the talks. Rianti nodded.

"How about, Dik Layla. As the Father said, the decision is in the hands of Dik Layla. Although how much happiness we if Dik Layla would accept our proposal, of course the guidance from God is the most important," said Rianti.

Layla raised her face slowly. He sighed softly. After that he nodded his head once. Mr. Nurasmin and Ms. Sofia looked at each other. They were astonished, this time Layla immediately nodded her head.

"We're less clear, did Layla nod her head in agreement or what?" ask Rianti. Layla smiles. He nodded his head back.

"I accept it, Brother," Layla replied firmly. As they sigh in relief.

"Have you thought about it, son?" ask Sofia's mom while rubbing Layla's head. Layla nodded.

"That's a guidance from God, sir, Mom," Layla replied.

"Alhamdulillah" said Master Izzul Islam. He looked towards Fahmi. Like Layla, she's still down. Sweat was flowing from his head.

"How about, Mr Izzul? Did Dik Izzul hear that?" ask Master Izzul Islam. Fahmi smiled nodding his head.

"Alhamdulillah. We've all heard Dik Layla's answer. Now, we leave it back to the Father and Mother" said Mr. Izzul Islam.

Mr. Nurasmin let out a long sigh. A faint smile flung from his lips.

"Alhamdulillah, son. if your sister has decided, the case was considered by you to be finished" said Mr. Nurasmin. He looked towards Layla.

"Son, our current task is to inform Salima and Mr. Guru Nur Asikin about this matter" said Mr. Nurasmin.

"We'll visit them as soon as possible, sir. We'll talk about it all right. May there be no offence in their hearts" Layla replied.

"Do you mean Mr, Mr Guru Nur Asikin the chairman of MUI?" ask Master Izzul Islam.

"Yes, Son. Bu Salima, the wife of the head of the ministry and Mr. Guru Nur Asikin had visited here to propose to your sister," said Mr. Nurasmin.

"Great, great people in line want to make Dik Layla son-in-law" said Qurratul Aini. Layla smiles.

Talks between them continued until the determination of the time and day of the implementation of the marriage contract. Three days later, precisely on Friday night, the marriage agreement between Layla and Fahmi was agreed to be implemented.

After finishing lunch and congregational prayers at the house of Mr. Nurasmin, Mr. Izzul Islam and the group say goodbye.
