Three thick-bearded men, dressed in panties and white kurta shirts, were still waiting in the living room. Nyai Indrawati who told Qurratul Aini to make drinks for his three guests, still pacing around in his room. This afternoon he had received a call from Rianti who would come today, precisely finished this ashar, to bring Qurratul Aini to the house of Master Izzul Islam. But in the living room now there is a distant cousin and two people who are close friends of his father. His cousin must have told them about the proposal of Master Izzul Islam to Qurratul Aini. Everyone knows that her late husband and her friends, who on behalf of themselves as reformers of the Sunnah, are enemies of debate Mr. Guru Liwa'ul hamdi, her father Mr. Guru Izzul Islam. He was convinced that their arrival was to persuade him and Qurratul Aini to annul the marriage.
"Mother," call Qurratul Aini while knocking on the door of Nyai Indrawati's room. Nyai Indrawati immediately opened the door.
"Have you sent our guests drinks?"
Qurratul Aini nodded.
"But why is mom still here? Uncle Dahri's looking for mom,"
"Your uncle and those people must have wanted to question the matter of your marriage to Master Izzul Islam. I'm confused as to what to answer,"
"Come, Mom. This is my decision. Let me face it. Mom just accompany me,"
"Please drink it, Ustadz," said Nyai Indrawati, allowing his three guests to taste the pastry served by Qurratul Aini. One of the oldest of the three and is a distant cousin Nyai Indrawati turned towards her two friends. The two nodded their heads as a gesture to start the conversation.
"Just go ahead, Brother, son Aini. Frankly, we are here to ask about the proposal of Master Izzul Islam to Dik Aini." He let out a long sigh and alternately looked at Nyai Indrawati and Qurratul Aini.
"Frankly, we regret that. Especially after the uncle asked your mother why you should marry Master Izzul Islam. Aini, your late father is a person who is very firm in his principles. What he says is true will be held firmly in the heart. Vice versa. You yourself know how hard he is against the heresy of the scholars who consider themselves ahlus sunnah wal jamaah. He is very much at odds with the father of Master Izzul Islam and certainly Master Izzul Islam himself. We who take the pure opinion of the Qur'an and the hadith of the Prophet, consider the understanding embraced by both is a heresy that was never done by the Prophet. If you are still desperate to marry Mr. Guru Izzul Islam, let the pesantren of your late father remain like this. We and of course his worshipers did not want our charity to be in vain."
Qurratul Aini let out a long sigh. He looked one at a time towards his three guests.
"Why didn't uncle and uncle's friends think of that before? Supposedly, once you die, you already have a plan to keep this pesantren alive. Why do you keep quiet when one by one the students are picked up by their parents. I as a child have tried to ask you, but you're just busy blaming people who disagree with you." Qurratul Aini turned towards Nyai Indrawati. Nyai Indrawati nodded her head slowly.
"I'm sorry, Uncle, I made up my mind. My goal of reviving this pesantren is to keep the teachings of Islam in this chaotic time. Regardless of what I do is wrong in your eyes, I believe that the decision I made was the right one" continued Qurratul Aini. The person sitting in the middle shook his head.
"You have hurt the late Master Teacher, Nyai. Consider it. Nyai will change the image of this pesantren with teachings that the late Master and we consider heretical,"
Qurratul Aini again sighed.
"Sorry, my decision is complete. I feel calm because I feel I have a chance to continue the ideals of the deceased. The ideals that have always kept me locked up because I could never make it happen" said Qurratul Aini.
"Even if it would hurt the deceased?" said Dahri, uncle of Qurratul Aini. Qurratul Aini smiled.
"That's what you think. No one knows whether someone who has died will hurt his heart or not. We just have to be prejudiced. And my good prejudice is that the late father will be happy with what I did. May I be among the righteous children who will flow their rewards continuously to the grave of the father" said Qurratul Aini. The three smiled. Like scorn the answer of Qurratul Aini.
"You really have gone astray. We still do not allow this pesantren to rise if it is not in accordance with what the late Master Teacher pioneered. We will ask pilgrims to seal the dormitory buildings which are the whole result of their donation. They will not be willing if there is a heresy in this place" said Dahri. Qurratul Aini smiled. He then got up and stepped into the room that the late Master Faeshal used as his study. After waiting for some time, Qurratul Aini returned with a large cardboard. The cardboard was placed on the table. Close the cardboard and then open it. Inside it was full of papers and large books. One by one fill the cardboard and place it on the table.
"I am a person who is often called the father to record the finances of this pesantren. The receipt is complete. Uncle can check it out. Only a few buildings were built from donations. For the rest, he used his personal possessions, including selling our fields and fields. The recording is complete. If the congregation is not willing with this decision, I wait for them. I'll reimburse all the donations they've made to the pesantren. Or if it does destroy the building, it doesn't matter. We will build a new building out of our personal property. We don't want just because of differences of understanding, all giving must be leveraged" said Qurratul Aini. Dahri looked unhappy. He felt he could no longer advise Qurratul Aini. Especially when looking at absolutely no effort from Nyai Indrawati to help soften the heart of Qurratul Aini. He was even impressed to support the decision of Qurratul Aini.
Dahri.
"We have tried to remind you that this path you took is a perverse one" he said. He turned to his two friends and signaled. Both then rise. Without saying anything, the three then just walked out of the house. Even so, Nyai Indrawati and Qurratul Aini followed the three from behind. Before they got into the car, Qurratul Aini and Nyai Indrawati saw one of them pull out the boarding planks plastered in front of the gate and put it in the car.
A few minutes after their departure, Fahmi, Rianti and Nurasmin's car arrived at the gate. Nyai Indrawati and Qurratul Aini who had returned to sit in the living room, immediately rose out and opened the gate for them.
Because they were afraid that the party from KUA and the invitation from the closest relatives waited too long, they only talked for a while. After Qurratul Aini finished packing some of his clothes, they also agreed to immediately set out back to the boarding house of Qudwatusshalihin.

The car that was boarded by Fahmi, Rianti, Nyai Indrawati, Qurratul Aini and Pak Nurasmin had arrived at the gate right after the azan isya reverberated.
In the living room to be used for the wedding ceremony, Mr. Guru Izzul Islam was seen chatting with the head of KUA and several officers from the village. At the request of Qurratul Aini, the marriage contract event that was originally to be held in the mosque, was finally moved to the living room. Qurratul Aini wants a simple event and only attended by the closest family.
Some pick-up cars carrying various dishes ordered by Rianti from restaurants in the Doyan Medaran area and Pratiwi bu restaurants are also lined up in the yard. Previously, five cars carrying food donations from the congregation of Mr. Izzul Islam who owns a restaurant, Tuan Guru, already filled with tables lined up all the way outside the gates of the house of Master Izzul Islam. The number of dishes exceeded the invited guests present tonight. Some of the santri are seen starting to put it down and put it on the buffet table.
"Lik, the food is very much, even though the invited guests are only a few," said Zaebon who was helping the students to lower the food. He seemed surprised by the abundant food.
"This is the show, Bon. In addition to the marriage contract of Master Teacher, this event is also intended to almahumah Nyai Mustiani, Nyai Sulastri, Nyai Zulhiyani, Pak Yulian and bu Castella. The ones who ate were all santri" Abdul Khalik said. Zaebon nodded his head.
The wedding ceremony of Mr. Guru Izzul Islam and Qurratul Aini took place solemnly. One by one the guests say goodbye after eating the dish. The atmosphere in the house of Master Izzul Islam was once again quiet. In the living room only seen Rianti, Jamila, Nyai Indrawati and Qurratul Aini. They seem to be having a warm conversation. For the night, they agreed Nyai Indrawati and Qurratul Aini to spend the night in the boarding house of Qudwatusshalihin before being carried back to the house of Nyai Indrawati.
