ROYALTY: The Lord of the Glorious Water Element

ROYALTY: The Lord of the Glorious Water Element
CHAPTER TWENTY-FIVE: TWO-FACED EDWARD

The next day, Roni was still unthinkable by last night's events. He wondered, who exactly was the person who entered his room? Why would you want to take the ring? Those questions until this morning still make Roni curious.

Now Roni is sitting on a chair, in the palace garden. The cool breeze waved the skin of his face, feeling refreshing, but it was as if Roni was not enjoying it due to his two-pronged mind. Confused by the situation he experienced last night.

"Why? What's with this ring until someone wants to take it? Though this ring contained no magic, last night I purposely lied to that person," monologue Roni while observing the ring of water waves embedded in his ring finger with great precision. The ring was indeed very nice, it was blue and sparkling, but it contained absolutely no magic or special powers. So what makes it interesting? Compared to the royal family ring, the ring was no better.

Prince Henry always comes to Roni. He then sat down next to Roni and asked, "What makes you look confused like that?" He looked at Roni's facial expression as if he was thinking about something.

"About this ring" replied Roni as she showed her ring.

"Daughter Victoria's ring?" henry asked as he observed the ring on Roni's ring finger.

"Yes. Is this ring so special that someone wants to take it?" ask Roni.

"You mean?" ask Prince Henry.

"There was someone in my room last night who was intending to take this ring. It's a good thing I'm getting up soon" Roni replied uneasily.

Henry frowned, trying to understand the situation. "Maybe someone judged this ring as having more value, even if it's not. Or maybe there's another reason we don't know yet."

Roni looked at her ring with consideration. "Hard to understand. Last night, the person who walked into my room seemed convinced this ring was precious."

Henry looked at him seriously. "We need to find out who he is and what his motives are. It's not a trivial thing."

Roni nodded in agreement. "But how can we find that guy? He's wearing a mask, and it's hard to spot."

"We have resources in this kingdom. I'll ask the palace guards for help, and we can investigate further." Henry smiled.

Roni breathed a sigh of relief. "Thank you, Prince Henry. I don't want this to be left alone."

Edward passed by the palace garden, overhearing Prince Henry and Roni talk about the ring he was going to take last night but failed. Then Edward hid behind a shady tree to listen to Prince Henry and Roni talk.

"They were talking about the ring. Shit, I failed to take it," Edward said in a very slow voice.

Meanwhile, Henry and Roni continued to talk.

"You know the character of that person?" ask Prince Henry. "Ah, I mean from the stature of his body, is it like an adult or a teenager?" Continue to correct the question that might make Roni fail to understand.

Roni thought about Henry's question seriously. "He seems to have a fairly high and stocky posture. I don't know, whether it's an adult or a teenager because he's wearing a mask and a black robe that covers his entire body."

Henry nodded in understanding. "We have at least a preliminary picture. I'll tell the palace guards to look for people with those traits."

Roni nodded in agreement, but worry still reflected on his face. "I just wish we could find him before he comes back."

Henry placed his hand on Roni's shoulder excitedly. "We're going to tackle this together. You're not alone, Roni."

Meanwhile, behind the tree, Edward clenched his hand and growled like a rage when he heard Prince Henry's words that seemed to support Roni. Then Edward looked. "I need to change tactics. Maybe I can take advantage of the Royalty's tension to take the ring, hahaha."

Prince Henry called Edward and surprised him. Edward's reflex stopped his steps, and acted as if nothing had happened.

"Hey, Edward, good morning," Prince Henry said to his father.

"Good morning too, Prince Henry," Edward greeted with a fake smile. Then Edward pretended to say hello to Roni. "Hi, Royalty, good morning."

Roni was momentarily confused as Edward did not usually greet her kindly. Then Roni quickly replied, "Ah yes, good morning."

"You seem to be talking about something serious." Edward pretends to know nothing and pretends to be familiar with Roni.

Prince Henry nodded and smiled, then replied, "We're discussing last night's events. Someone broke into the Royalty's room with the intention of taking the ring that Princess Victoria gave."

Edward played his part well, though his heart was full of intrigue. "Oh, really? It must have been a stressful event. Luckily Royalty managed to prevent it."

Roni looked at Edward with suspicion, but chose to keep talking casually. "Yes, thankfully I woke up in time. But we're both still wondering who that guy really is."

Edward tried to hide his disappointment due to last night's failure. "Maybe it's the right time to increase security at the palace. Agreed, Prince Henry?"

Prince Henry nodded, "Right, we should do that. I will give the order to the palace guards to be more vigilant."

Edward covered up his original intentions and pretended to be concerned. "Hopefully this problem will be resolved quickly. We all want this kingdom to stay safe, don't we?"

Roni remained vigilant, feeling that something was wrong with Edward's cooperative attitude. However, he just nodded as if agreeing. Prince Henry then invites the two to come together to devise a better security strategy, unaware that among them, there is someone harboring dark intentions.

"What if for a while there was one soldier guarding in front of the Royalty's room, until it was completely safe" Prince Henry advised. Look at Edward and Roni in turn.

Edward immediately protested because he thought it was unfair and that would surely stand in his way to harm Roni. "I disagree, it's not fair. If so, all the rooms should have one soldier's guard."

"Ah, I don't mean that," replied Prince Henry then continued, "I suggest there are soldiers who specifically supervise the Royalty room for a while, as a first step to increase security. Of course, we also need to optimize security throughout the palace, but the main focus right now is to protect the ring. What do you think?"

Edward gave a false aim. "Of course, Prince Henry. Security should be a top priority. We must protect the royal honor and valuables like the Royalty's ring." Although the remark sounded cooperative, his heart was full of intrigue and dark plans to achieve his goal.

Although Edward gives a false wish, but in his heart, he has devised a new plan to get the ring undetected. Meanwhile, Roni observed the two men before her with growing concern.

Prince Henry asked Roni for his opinion. "What do you think, Royalty? Do you agree that for a while your room is being watched by one security guard?"

Roni responded wisely, "I agree, Prince Henry. Safety should take precedence, especially in light of overnight events. I'm willing to work together on this first step to protect the security of the kingdom." Although Roni tried to show her support, but her suspicion towards Edward deepened.

"Well, I'm going to order one security guard to watch over your room tonight" Prince Henry said confidently.

Edward growled a little to refrain from getting angry. He knew that his plan to get rid of Roni was going to be even harder. But Edward did not give up. He had to devise a new, more meticulous plan to achieve his goal. And will continue to find ways to get Roni removed from the Andoran Kingdom. In any case, the Royalty must suffer! Hahaha, his mind is evil.
