CHAPTER THIRTY: EDWARD'S NEGATIVE ASSUMPTIONS

Now Prince William and Henry are in the palace security room. They were discussing with one of the soldiers who was in charge of guarding the security in front of the royal gate the night before. They discussed the possibility of a mysterious person who had made a mess in the corridors of the palace.

"What do you think, Prince Henry?" prince William asked, then continued, "Is it likely that the mysterious person is someone from within the kingdom? I doubt that foreigners can easily enter through the tight guard at the royal gate."

Prince Henry thought about Prince William's question seriously before giving an answer, "I agree with your opinion. The guard at the royal gate was extremely strict, and it was hard to believe that a stranger could pass through the barrier undetected. There may be an inside involvement."

The soldier present gave his perspective, "I agree with Prince Henry. I didn't see any strangers in or out that night."

Prince Henry later recalled the events of the previous night that befell Roni. "Did the mysterious man come back and try to steal the Royalty's ring?"

Prince William replied, "Most likely, given the presence of a knife found in the corridor. This is not just ordinary chaos. There's a deeper motive." Pausing for a moment, then he continued, "It looks like we have a serious problem inside the palace. The mysterious person who tried to steal the ring was most likely the same person who made a mess last night."

Prince Henry agreed. "We need to find out who among us has knowledge of security plans. It's not just about ring theft, it's about palace security."

"Can't this be an inside job? Someone who may have access and a deep knowledge of the state of affairs in the palace," replied the soldier who sat before Prince Henry.

Prince William thought for a moment, "We need more information. The same figure may have done the recognition before or may have had the informant inside the palace. We need to investigate every possibility."

"I agree. In the meantime, we should increase the security around the Royalty room. Don't let the slightest gap. He needs to be safe." Prince Henry chimed.

Prince William agreed. "really. We need to act quickly before the situation gets more complicated. Tell the guards to increase patrols around the Royalty's room, and make sure no one passes without our knowledge."

The soldier who listened replied to Prince William's words, "Alright, Prince, I will inform the guards around the Royalty room to increase vigilance."

Then Prince William said back, "If the mysterious man comes back to the palace and wanders around the Royalty's room, try to catch him immediately. That way, we can easily interrogate him. Understood?"

"Understand the Prince," the soldier replied firmly.

The words of Prince William were also strongly approved by Prince Henry and the soldier.

Roni is currently in her room. He had not been out of the room since this morning because he remembered his two best friends, Evelyn and Elan. Also remember his mother, Rosmala. It's been a week Roni has never met them and Roni misses them so much. Honestly Roni wanted to see them, but unfortunately he could not return to Eldoria City if no one brought him home. The distance from Andora to Eldoria is very far.

"Mom, I miss Mom," the monologue Roni made a soft voice.

Roni looked out the window, the sun appeared at the eastern end, reflecting warm colors to the sky. A gentle breeze blew out gently, carrying the scent of jasmine flowers from the small garden in the courtyard.

In her mind, childhood memories with her mother and her two best friends compose the debris of the story she wants to tell.

Shortly afterwards, Prince Henry came, entering Roni's room where the door was slightly open.

"Good morning" said Prince Henry.

Roni was surprised and looked back. Prince Henry is standing in the doorway.

"Good morning too, Prince Henry." Roni greeted back with a smile.

"What's wrong with you? It seems that you are thinking of something" said Prince Henry, who walked up to Roni and sat down next to the boy.

Roni sighed, sharing the weight of her thoughts with Prince Henry. "I miss my mother and my friends in Eldoria. But it's a long way, and I don't know how to go back."

Roni slightly thought then asked, "What is it, Prince?"

"You'll find out one day" replied Prince Henry without giving a clear answer.

"Then?" Roni asked in confusion.

Prince Henry laughed briefly and replied witfully, "Then, we will find a way for you to return to Eldoria City. In the meantime, learn and enjoy your life in Andora. There's a lot of things that haven't been revealed in this palace, Roni."

Roni looked at Prince Henry curiously, a little confused by the prince's answer.

"How were you last night? Did that mysterious person go back to your room and try to take your ring?" ask Prince Henry when he remembers last night's mess.

Roni shook her head quickly and replied, "Night I heard a commotion in the corridor, but after that I went back to sleep, and that person did not enter my room."

"Good if so. It seems like the mysterious person did not make it into your room. The soldier who guards in front of your room, does his job well. But you must remain vigilant, if at any time the man returns to disturb your composure."

"I will always be vigilant, Prince! Roni will never be remiss!" roni said with an expressive face while raising his one hand.

This provoked an angry reaction to Prince Henry. "Ahaha, you're so funny." Then he unconsciously ruffled Roni's hair.

Roni smiled amusedly as her hair was ruffled by Prince Henry. The atmosphere of the room became brighter, and Roni's originally sad feelings began to be replaced by the warmth of friendship.

"Remember, Roni, even though we are in the midst of a mystery, there is a little happiness that we can find every day" Prince Henry said with a gentle smile.

Edward who happened to pass in front of Roni's room, immediately stopped his steps when he saw Prince Henry and Roni who were chatting and joking. The two men looked very close and made negative assumptions in Edward's brain.

"They both have same-sex love preferences. Prince Henry never invited women to the palace. Once he brought someone to the palace, it turned out to be a man. Ah, fate once I had an uncle with such an orientation of love!" edward said with a flawless, but piercing, wise tone.

Roni and Prince Henry immediately noticed Edward standing in the doorway.

Prince Henry looked at Edward seriously, "Edward, don't slander and make up false stories! It's friendship, not anything else."

Roni added calmly, "It's not time to make untrue assumptions, Edward. We should respect each other and not hurt other people's feelings."

Edward again mocked, "Ah, you guys are indeed the perfect couple, aren't you?"

Prince Henry held back his emotions, "This is not true, Edward. Let's focus on the more important things."

Edward left with a mocking smile on his face, leaving Roni and Prince Henry in a tense atmosphere.

Prince Henry whispered to Roni, "Don't mind Edward's words. We know the truth, and our friendship is worth more than cheap gossip."

Roni nodded in agreement, and the two re-thought, realizing that their friendship would be tested by the various trials at Andora's palace.

While Edward increasingly shows his dislike for Roni, especially when seeing the closeness of Prince Henry and Roni. He will prove that he is able to destroy Roni's life slowly. Camn it!
