CHAPTER FOUR: START TO LOOK

Like the previous days, Roni began his activities, starting from a morning bath, breakfast, then he had to go to the market to sell mangoes from his garden. For some reason today, Roni was not excited. He ignored Evelyn and Elan who continued chatting.

"Liar. You're liar!" Elan snorted and looked the other way.

Evelyn laughed at Elan's behavior, which she thought was funny. "Hahaha, hey. Just look at this, I brought a lot of food for the three of us. My mother gets a lot of food from her brother. Because it's too much, my mother asked to share this food with you." Then Evelyn showed me a bundle of banana leaves that contained, five boiled bananas, four boiled potatoes, and five boiled sweet potatoes. The food is boiled, but the pleasure is second to none.

"Wow is that true?" Elan was immediately excited and delighted.

Evelyn stuffed her food pack into her knitting bag, then took out a small pitcher filled with water. "Yes, and one more thing, I also brought water. You won't have to buy another drink."

"Well like this, we won't spend money to buy food and drink, right," Elan said with a smile.

"Roni why?" ask Evelyn.

"Of course." Then Elan approached Roni and patted him on the shoulder many times. "Is there a problem, man?"

Roni was surprised and looked back. Elan was standing right behind him. Roni twisted her body and slightly moved away from Elan. Then shook his head. "There's nothing. I just don't feel excited."

"From the look on your face, I can guess that you're in trouble." Elan looked at Elan's sullen and moody face.

Roni shook her head quickly and replied, "No, no, I don't get in trouble. I told you, I'm just not excited."

"You're not excited there must be a cause. No way, no, right?" Evelyn thought logically.

Roni was silent and did not answer Evelyn's statement. Time passed and the sun rose to the surface. Now Roni, Evelyn, and Elan have arrived at a market that is quite crowded with many buyers. Many sellers offer each trade in various ways to attract attention. One of them was a middle-aged man who sold robe clothes. With skill, clever, and creative man can attract the attention of people, so many also buy his clothes. His name is Roslan, often called Mr. Roslan by his customers. Including Roni, Evelyn, and Elan who already know Mr. Roslan.

"Thank God, I've always been good Mr. Roslan." Evelyn smiled faintly.

"If Nak Evelyn is so, so am I, hahaha, too" replied Mr. Roslan jokingly.

"Yes, Mr. Roslan is always healthy every day." Evelyn replied jokingly anyway.

"It's not always so, son. Sometimes I feel fine too. Did Evelyn come here to buy clothes?" ask Roslan.

Evelyn replied, "No sir. I just want to look around. If any clothes fit me, tomorrow I'll buy them."

Roslan nodded, then he asked, "Where are Elan and Roni?"

Evelyn turned her gaze to Mr. Roslan. Then he pointed to Roni and Elan who were selling near a shady tree. There are many people passing by. Roni and Elan did choose a strategic place to sell their fruits.

"Oh, those two young people are always together. They never trade in different places" Roslan said, looking up at Elan and Roni.

"They were familiar from childhood, sir, including me," Evelyn replied.

"Yes, your friendship is great, may it remain until you age together." Roslan smiled faintly. He remembered his teenage years.

"Amen." Evelyn nodded and smiled.

Meanwhile, at the place where Elan and Roni were trading, there was a woman and a little boy came to them both. It seems the woman wants to buy her son some fruit. There was a boy next to the woman whining while pointing at Elan's wares. "I want a banana, Mommy" said the boy, tugging at his mother's hand.

Meanwhile, the boy who was standing next to his mother had since noticed Roni's face. Roni looked at the boy's face. Indeed such a small child, his attitude is still naughty and a lot of behavior. Roni understands this. He then no longer looked at the boy and turned his eyes the other way.
