ROYALTY: The Lord of the Glorious Water Element
CHAPTER TWENTY-EIGHT: EDWARD'S SCENARIO

Unwitting by them, Edward is now hiding behind a high corridor pillar. Edward listened to Prince Henry and Roni talk while laughing softly. "Well, they think it's that easy. I've planned a better tactic this time. Just wait for Royalty. I will make your life ruined. Huhuh."

As Prince Henry passed the pillar of his hiding place, Edward was in a panic and immediately hid himself in the darkness that happened to be not highlighted by the corridor lights.

"Uh congratulations" he said, stroking his chest.

Just suddenly.

"Hey who is it!?" Prince Henry stopped his steps as soon as he saw the black shadow figure that was behind the pillar.

Edward was so panicked, he hurriedly held his breath. His heartbeat raced fast like a challenging adrenaline rush. His body felt stiff and seemed difficult to move.

Prince Henry slowly approached the pillar. His eyes focused on the black shadow.

Until then...

Edward tried to get out of his hiding place, unfortunately he tripped and almost fell before his right hand held the pillar. His face was filled with tension as he smiled awkwardly.

"Hey, what are you doing here?" prince Henry took it seriously.

Roni was surprised to see Edward, then he approached Edward with a sharp expression. "Are you watching us?"

Edward tried to defend himself with an innocent expression. "Oh, I'm just out taking a night-night walk. Nothing special."

Prince Henry was not entirely sure. "Why are you hiding when I get close?"

Edward smiled with intrigue. "I'm not hiding, just surprised to see Prince Henry here. Maybe I'm too focused on my own mind."

Roni thinks something is hidden. "What are you really doing here, Edward?"

Edward shook his head, trying to cover up his evil intentions. "Nothing to suspect. I really just want to take a walk alone."

Prince Henry looked at him sharply. "Never walk alone around the corridor at night. Shouldn't it be time to rest."

Edward pretended to obey. "Of course, Prince Henry. Sorry if I caused any worries." Then he walked away with mixed feelings. Between shame and anger into one.

They were watching Edward until he left the corridor. After he left, Roni looked at Prince Henry with a worried expression. "Are we supposed to believe it? I feel like something's not right."

Prince Henry nodded. "We need to stay alert. I'll increase the surveillance around the palace. No one can harm us or damage the security of this palace, including Edward."

Roni heaved a sigh of relief, knowing that Prince Henry supported security measures. However, the shadow of Edward's dark plan still floated in the minds of the two of them.

Not long after, came a security soldier who was asked by Prince Henry to supervise Roni's room. The soldier walked over to Prince Henry and Roni.

The soldier saluted Prince Henry for a moment and said, "Good night, Prince Henry." He stopped his words when he saw Roni.

As if understanding the soldier's expression, Prince Henry replied, "Royalty."

"Ah, good night Royalty" said the soldier with a smile.

"Good night too" Roni replied. Not forgetting his friendly smile.

Then the soldier faced Prince Henry and said, "What is my duty Prince?"

"As per our mutual agreement. Tonight, you'll be watching the Royalty's room. Make sure the safety around him is well maintained" Prince Henry instructed the soldiers.

Roni smiled and then nodded in respect. "Thank you, Prince Henry. I'm sure everything will go well."

Prince Henry smiled briefly at Roni then looked seriously at the soldier. "Don't hesitate to act if it detects something suspicious. Palace security is top priority."

The soldier nodded firmly. "I will carry out my duties responsibly, Prince Henry."

After that, the soldier moved into his position. Standing straight to the right of Roni's room door with her eyes straight ahead.

"Alright, Roni. I need to get to the room. Again, don't worry, at least for tonight" Prince Henry said before he left.

Meanwhile, in his room, Edward was very irritated when he remembered that he had almost been caught by Prince Henry. "They won't be gullible" he murmured as he planned his next move.

With a dark heart, Edward thought of ways to disrupt Prince Henry and Roni's plans. His resentment is burning, and he is committed to making their plans go awry.

A clever idea flashed through his mind. "Maybe I can distract the soldier guarding in front of the Royalty room. That way I can get into his room undetected. But what if the room is locked from the inside? I think I should think of another way." Edward was hesitant about his decision. It could have been Roni locking his room from the inside and that could have made it difficult.

"How about I use my skillful hands to unlock it with the special equipment I carry?" thought Edward with a sly smile. He felt confident that his hacking skills would be the key to launching his plan.

He pondered for a moment, looking for the best way to distract the soldier in front of Roni's room. His creativity begins to flow, he plans to create a false scenario that might make the soldier on guard forget his duty.

"All right, I have to be sure. Tonight I'll make sure the ring moves into my hands, hahaha" Edward said with a wicked laugh.

The night was getting late and the moon was rising into the middle of the sky, a sign that it was now midnight. Edward is ready to carry out the action in order to get Roni's ring.

With a careful step, Edward walked out of his room. He opened the door slowly so as not to make a sound that could disturb people who were sleeping. Then closed the door of his room carefully.

His steps crept through the corridors of the palace. He deliberately did not wear footwear to avoid the sound of echoes. His room to Roni's room was quite a distance away, so Edward had to do it carefully so as not to arouse suspicion. Edward made use of every shadow of the walls and bend the corridors to slip undetected.

As he was almost in front of Roni's room, Edward hid behind a wall and heard slowly the sound of soldiers standing guard. He planned out the fake scenario he had devised earlier. With his telekinesis skills, Edward pointed his forefinger at a small flower pot, then lifted the flower pot into the air and quickly slammed it into the floor of the corridor, it makes a loud noise in the silence of the night. The moment the voice distracted the soldier standing guard in front of Roni's room.

"Who is that!?" the soldier shouted when he heard the loud voice earlier.

Edward remained in his position, standing upright and sticking his back to the wall. While making sure the soldier came to his place, Edward immediately pulled out his weapon. With his skills, he would cripple those soldiers.

Edward held his breath when he found out that the soldier was in his place while looking to the right and left as if looking for the source of the voice earlier. The soldier was unaware of Edward's whereabouts hiding in the darkness. The black robe and black mask that Edward wore seemed to be very supportive of his hiding.

"Where did that sound come from?" said the soldier while researching the surroundings.

When circumstances were a little possible, before the soldier knew his whereabouts, Edward quickly kicked the soldier's back from behind. The soldier fell to his knees and rolled quickly before Edward would strike him again.

"Hey, who are you!?" the soldier shouted while pointing at Edward.

Edward cursed because his plan did not fit the scenario. Then he ran to a place to attract the attention of the soldier, at least to get away from Roni's room.

The soldier got up quickly and went on a chase. But the soldier did not know that the man was Edward because of the black mask and robe that covered his entire body.

Edward turned right at the corridor intersection. Unfortunately, there was one soldier patrolling the corridor. There was no other choice, Edward then hid in the shadow of the wall and waited for the right moment. Deftly, Edward threw the knife he was carrying in the opposite direction to get the soldier distracted.

"What's that sound?" the monologue of the patrolling soldiers. Then he came to the source of the voice.

Before the soldier realized his whereabouts, Edward slipped through the shadow of the dark wall that disguised his body, so that the soldier could not see him.

"Hey, did you see someone running around the corridor?" ask the soldier who was standing guard in front of Roni's room. His breath sounded stingy.

"No, but I heard the sound of objects falling around this place," the soldier who was patrolling replied.

"Hey, what is it? A knife!?" One of the soldiers saw the knife that Edward had thrown.

Edward no longer paid attention to the chatter of the two soldiers. He continued his steps towards Roni's room with a sneak and occasionally looked back to make sure the soldier was not chasing him.

Suddenly, there was the sound of footsteps in the east corridor. Edward felt his heart rate rise. He ran back, trying to avoid anyone who might come.

Edward realizes that his plan this time goes hard and it takes extra patience to be able to get into Roni's room undetected. And the two soldiers had complicated his plan.

The man cursed behind a dark wall. His heart was full of cobbleness. "Damn, my plan almost failed. But I'm going back into Royalty's room until it's completely safe. In a minute."
