CHAPTER THIRTY-THREE: EDWARD 2 SCENARIO

Flashback. Edward's scenario before trying to harm Roni using hard water but instead mistargeted when he asked for help from a boy.

Now Edward is still following Prince Henry and Roni in the market area. Sometimes Edward also hid among the crowd so that Prince Henry and Roni did not see his whereabouts, although the two men never looked back and Edward just kept watch.

When Prince Henry and Roni stopped at one of the shops. Edward also stops in front of the food store, watching the two men from a distance while planning something that could harm Roni.

Suddenly there was a bad idea in his brain. Edward thought about harming Roni. "Ah, if I only followed Prince Henry and his girlfriend it would not seem to be exciting. Ahaha, I will find a way to harm her," he muttered with a sinister smile with his focused eyes staring at Roni's back.

"Ah, what if I use hard water to harm Royalty? Yes, I will use hard water, ahahah," muttered Edward then chuckling among the many people passing by.

Then Edward looked for a shop that sold hard water. Hard water in Andora City is not sold freely and is only sold in certain shops. Edward infiltrates into the narrow streets that lead to a remote corner of the market. There, he found a shop that reportedly kept a stockpile of hard water. The shop door was light when it opened, and a mysterious shopkeeper greeted it.

Hard water in this fantasy world is water that has magical elements and has healing or destructive powers depending on the way the user uses it. For example, it can be used to heal wounds, but it can also be a powerful weapon to defeat enemies. More precisely there are two types of hard water, first positive hard water that heals and negative hard water that can damage. Despite the fact in the real world that hard water is actually very destructive and there is no hard water for healing.

"What are you looking for, young man?" ask the shop owner with a sly smile.

With great ingenuity, Edward replied, "I'm looking for something that can give a 'special effect' to someone who may be overconfident."

The shopkeeper nodded in understanding and took Edward to the shelves that held hard water. A selection of various bottles with sparkling liquid awaited in front of him.

"Something specific or would I like to give you a suggestion?" ask the shop owner.

Edward smiled with his eyes sparkling with evil. "I want an effective one, without leaving too conspicuous a trace."

The store owner gave a small jug of hard water that was beautifully packed. "Be careful, Brother. This water use can have major consequences."

Edward simply smiled and paid for the item using some banknotes. With hard water in his hand, he stepped out of the shop and was about to plot bad luck for Roni.

Little information about currencies in Andora City. The currency is called Andorin and is in the form of coins or paper. Each andorine banknote and coin has a sculptured image of different elements, thus giving a magical feel to its exchange rate. The highest-ranking andorine banknotes are worth One Hundred Thousand Andorins and have a picture of an element called Essentia. Essentia is believed to be the source of fundamental magic power that flows through the universe and becomes the core of all forms of magic. It includes the elements of water, earth, wind, lightning, and other natural elements.

Edward was very upset when he did not see the whereabouts of Prince Henry and Roni, then Edward stored the hard water in the jug into his loose black robe. Then he stepped back and slipped among the crowd of people, looking for the whereabouts of Prince Henry and Roni who might still not be far from his place.

While Edward smiled with relief when he found out that Prince Henry and Roni were back in front of the store, the two men seemed to be talking. While observing them, Edward thought of a way and made a scenario so that he could harm Roni undetected. Then he thought if it was better to use an intermediary to harm Roni.

"What if I ask for help to harm Royalty? Yeah, looks like it'll be a big help. I must use a child for this task" muttered Edward with his eyes fixed on the backs of Princes Henry and Roni.

Edward smiled cunningly when he accidentally saw a boy walking alone in the market area. I don't know where his parents are but obviously the child is confused as if looking for something. The opportunity should not be wasted, Edward immediately approached the boy who was now standing next to the food stall, and the boy appeared to be carrying a knitting bag.

"Hi little brother," Edward greeted with a slight wave and a friendly smile on his face.

The boy was a little surprised and looked terrified as he looked at Edward's face. The boy did not answer Edward's words. As he was about to run, Edward suddenly blocked his skinny arm.

"You must not be afraid of little brother. Come with brother. Brother, you got something for you, want some food?" edward's temptations that the little boy will comply with his wishes.

"Food?" paro the boy.

"Yes, you're hungry, aren't you?" Edward smiled cynically but the boy could not yet read the more specific facial expressions. So the boy saw Edward as smiling happily.

"Yes I'm hungry, brother," the boy replied as he stroked his stomach. Then a little sound came.

Edward laughed in his heart, and it turned out that the boy was hungry. "All right, come with me!"

Without saying much, Edward immediately took the boy through another road but remained in line with the market path that Prince Henry and Roni passed. While occasionally confirming the existence of the two men, Edward took the little boy he took with him to a river far enough from the market area. Edward sat under a shade tree, and he said to the little boy standing before him.

"Little sister, I brought you here because there's a special assignment for you" he said, smiling cynically. "After you succeed, I'll buy you food.

"What duty is brother?" ask the boy innocently. Making Edward furious mixed with anxiety staring at the innocence of the child.

"Ah, you are this. How old are you?" ask Edward who wants to know the age of the child.

"Seven years, brother," replied the boy.

Then Edward pulled the boy's skinny arm to get closer to him. After that Edward appointed Prince Henry and Roni who were in a more open market area. Although quite far away, but Edward could see the two men talking.

"You see those two blue-haired men?" edward asked the little boy beside him.

"No brother, I saw one blue-haired man," replied the boy hesitantly.

Edward slightly hit the boy's head in anger with the answer he gave. "You saw it no!? There were two blue-haired men. It's hard talking to a kid."

Edward did not want to waste time, then he took out a jug of hard water from inside his black robe. Then he rebuked the boy. "Hey, listen to my explanation!"

The boy was immediately startled and quickly turned around and faced Edward. Then Edward spoke, "You hold this jug. Watch out carefully, don't fall."

The boy hesitantly received the jug from Edward. After the jug was in his hand, he asked, "What is this jug, brother?"

"Listen to my explanation. Look at..." Edward then explained his purpose to the little boy.

Edward makes a scenario. The boy had to pretend to steal food from one of the food vendors in the market area that Prince Henry and Roni passed through. This will attract the attention of many people, including Prince Henry and Roni. Then after that, the boy had to pretend to be sad. In order to support the child's actions, Edward deliberately smeared wet soil on the child's face to make it look like a vagrant child.

"Well, your appearance is suitable, now do it according to my instructions. Steal food from nearby merchants, then pretend to be sad. Remember, do well and make sure everyone sees" Edward's instructions while giving the little boy detailed guidance.

The little boy looked scared but was also enthusiastic to see the jug filled with hard water he was holding. "But, brother, this isn't a toy, is it?"

Edward narrowed his eyes and gave a sly smile, "Truely, this is not a toy. It's a tool for your duty. Do it well, and brother will give you plenty of food. Don't forget, after they get close to you, splash the hard water on the face of the young blue-haired boy next to Prince Henry. Do you understand?"

It seemed that the boy did not fully understand yet, but he still nodded and seemed to understand due to force.

After giving instructions, Edward permeated his own satisfaction with the scenario he had set. The boy then got up, followed Edward's guide, and walked towards a food merchant. Edward watched his every move from behind the tree, convinced that his plan would go perfectly.

Meanwhile, Prince Henry and Roni are still busy talking. They had not realized that something unexpected was about to happen.

"Wait on! You're saying the boy's not what I saw? Whatchu mean?"

The boy looked down a little, dared not look Edward in the face, and replied, "Yes, brother. The man had black hair, not blue as you see. I'm confused, brother."

Edward felt very furious and was about to hit the boy but he immediately restrained his own actions. "Ah, how could you see that boy with black hair? Are your eyes troubled, HUH!?" he snaps at the little boy.

"Sorry, brother. I saw him, he had black hair instead of blue," the boy replied with a slight tremble.

Remember, in previous chapters it has been explained that the Royalty figure residing in Roni's body can only be seen by the royal family. Therefore Edward fully saw only the soul of Royalty, while the child from among the common people saw the real soul of Roni.

This may be confusing, but clearly, Royalty only shows up in front of the royal family with the aim of protecting Roni so as not to be underestimated by the Andora Royal family.

"You're quite helpful, little brother. I'll find out for myself who the Royalty really is. Why did this kid see her with black hair and not light blue hair?" edward muttered.

Edward then spoke to the boy calmly, "Alright, since you were quite helpful despite not harming the boy, I am still responsible for treating you and buying you food. Come with me."

"Are you serious, brother? I'll be treated and bought food?" asked the boy with a twinkle of happiness on his face.

"I'm seriously a little brother" replied Edward and took the boy.
