“Tante has not answered me.”
“Ehmmm....indeed Vino would answer what?” jilena asked as she glanced at Jonathan who was looking at her with a hopeful look.
“If Vino wants aunt answer what?”
“Iya.” the answer is short.
“Then, that's aunt.”'s answer said Jilena smiled.
“Horeee....tante said yes.” both of his tiny hands were raised up while moving his body screaming in delight. “Papa heard? Aunty wants to be my mama.” unknowingly her little hand is about to pull the blanket but both hands Jonathan and Jilena directly hold “Hei, do not!”
A confused Vino looked at Jonathan and Jilena alternately, then he realized that he had seen that his father was not wearing clothes. Gritting his forehead and smiling, he kissed Jilena and Jonathan on the cheeks. “Will I have a sister?’ he tilted his head.
Her funny behavior makes Jilena and Jonathan laugh.
“Vino darling. Now down yeah. Go take a shower then we have breakfast.” Jonathan said distracting Vino before the boy asked for more.
“Ok, papa.” the answer came down from the bed. Jonathan's hand grabbed his boxer lying on the floor. When he was about to leave the room, Vino saw the clothes scattered on the floor. Then he looked towards his father and Jilena.
“There's a shower. Papa will catch up.” says Jonathan kicked his son out.
Vino showed a pouting face and pursed his lips. Then he went from that room to the room he occupied last night.
Jonathan and Jilena enter the bathroom together and clean up, to shorten the time before Vino arrives. They were still laughing from being caught off guard by the boy. “We can continue later,” whispered Jonathan in Jilena. It just shook his head. ‘Maybe this is the right decision. I had to start a new life with Jonathan, so there was no more gap for Noah to get close to me, he murmured.
After Jonathan and Vino leave, despite a drama created by Vino who asks them to stay there again, then Jilena contact the newspaper office where she works to contact her boss to speed up printing the story.
"Trs. Keenan Hadinata is out,” said Alice. “Can I receive a message?”
"It's Jilena, Alice."
"And your phone number, Jilena Alice?"
"No, my name is Jilena. Your name is Alice.”
"But you just said—"
"That's it. I'll call his phone.” Jilena chuckles to herself as she saves Keenan's number to her phone.
"Hello, this is Keenan Hadinata."
"Hey, this is Jilena. New check-in.”
“Don't forget you've got a few hooks for this afternoon and you're still—need to reschedule the interview with the high school principal. ”
"I know, I know," he said. “I think you want an update on a bigger story" Jilena said.
"Sure, but I'm having breakfast right now."
“Di The Upper Spot Cafe?”
“Hmmm. How do you know?”
“Precise guess. I'm going there to get coffee. What if we meet there and we can talk?”
There's a pause on the phone. Is Keenan with someone?
"I think it's okay" she finally replied.
“See you soon, boss. Oh, and greetings to Ramira.”
Jilena drives her adorable Mercedes sports car to a parking lot outside The Upper Spot. He slid out from behind the wheel, stepped onto the sidewalk, and glanced back at the glittering blue sports car. How the fate of the old Toyota he drove first. He should thank his father for that.
Thoughts about his father and his possible involvement in Mariana's murder. Jilnea stopped her steps, remembering her father who gave the beautiful car to her. He tried to get rid of that uncomfortable feeling as he grabbed the cafe's door handle. Sarah was walking out when Jilena opened the door.
"Morning. I have to go to the bank. Ramira is inside, having a friendly conversation with your boss.”
Jilena covered her giggling mouth with her fingers. "Well, I'm happy for her."
"me too. I just wish they had gone somewhere more private. You know the whole city will talk about it at dinner.”
"I'm sure they'll do it." Jilena considers telling Sarah who Ramira is and uncovering about their father, but what's the point? It was too early to assess his involvement in Mariana's death. There was no need to make her worry about him or Aunt Goddess also feeling worried. Jilena will bear that burden alone, for now.
“I'm in a hurry.” Sarah rushed down the street.
As Jilena steps in, Ramira appears to be cleaning the dishes on Keenan's desk. The two throw smiles at each other.
"That's my favorite reporter" Keenan said.
"Hey, Jilena," said Ramira. “A fun morning, right?”
Ramira's sweet smile is captivating and alluring. How could Jilena have thought that Ramira might have killed her mother?
“Can I get a small mocha cappuccino with a double chocolate cream spray on top of it?"
Ramira's mouth refused. “Yeah, today request double chocolate cream. That's not good."
"I hope it will be very good for my mood" replied Jilena, trying to smile.
"We'll see." Ramira replied
"Sit down with Keenan and I'll take your coffee, baby." Ramira disappeared behind the counter.
“Again, boss.” Jilena sat next to him.
"What do you have for me?"
Jilena scanned around the cafe, currently the cafe was filled with townspeople enjoying their coffee and chatting. “After Ramira brought me my coffee, I think we better step outside to talk.” Jilena told Keenan.
"Why?" Keenan asked in wonder why he had to talk out of his mind. That's a silly question. What did Ramira do to the man's brain? Jilena approached towards him. “As if you haven't noticed it yet, some people in this city have big ears and wide mouths like to gossip.” Keenan looked around the place. "You may be right."
Through the crowded place, Ramira brings a Jilena drink to his shirt. Jilena stood up and hugged her friend to see you. “Thank you, Ramira.” Keenan started reaching out to hug Ramira as well, but his gaze— flashed around the bustling cafe and he pulled a little, sticking his hand to Ramira's back. He rubbed the girl's back gently. “Very good breakfast. I hope we can do it again sometime.”
“I'm sure it can be arranged. I am interested in the owner. ” Keenan said.
Ramira's face beamed as Jilena and Keenan walked out the door and stopped at the edge of the sidewalk.
"What do you have?" She asked.
“You already know I talked to Noah in prison and made my story on the indictment, but what you don't know is that other evidence has been found."
"What else?"
Jilena glanced at the large window of The Upper Spot and saw many eyes looking towards them. He turned his back to the storefront and continued. “I told you not to publish it. I have contacts in the police, but I have promised this person that I will not print any secrets in detail until I can confirm from them. ”
"Who's your contact?" She asked.
"I can't say it."
“Even not for me?”
"Sorry, Hadinata."
"Call Keenan," he said rudely. "So, tell me, is there a new one?"
“Some hairs were found with the skeletal remains and the State lab has matched them to Noah Arsyanendra. That's one of the reasons they caught him. But you know the DNA results, they really just show the possibility that it fits.”
