ep 59 - Mu'alaf's

“I've been in the sudat and I've had a big shower!” morgan told me in a cafe in Bandung.

“Masya Allah, I was moved to hear it..” I said as I shed tears and covered my mouth with my right hand.

“So what else should I do?” ask Morgan while sipping coffee.

“The next stage is Shahadah,” reply me while smiling.

“What is shahadat?” ask Morgan.

“Two sentences of shahada are two words of confession spoken orally and laced by the heart to make yourself a Muslim.” I told Morgan.

“Then?” ask Morgan with a serious look.

“The sentence spoken is Here are the two sentences of the shahadah:

أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا رَسُوْلُ اللهِ”

“I can't say it yet!”

“You will be guided by the scholars. Later I will take you to a boarding school where I used to study.” I said to Morgan while putting food into the mouth.

“Thanks yes, Raisa..” Morgan told me.

“Iya equally...” reply me while nodding my head.

Morgan smiled a little while seeing myself talking about the shahada. Then he looked me in the eye without even winking. There was a great admiration in his heart seeing my self-worth. He thinks that it is not wrong to step if he becomes a mu’alaf.

“You why look at me like that?” many wonder. Morgan was still looking at me.

“Hey! Daydream!”

Morgan awoke from his daydream and blinked his eyes several times.

“Sorry!”

“Yes, gapapa,”

“So when do we go to pesantren?” ask Morgan impatiently.

“Besok morning I'll take you,” reply me while smiling.

“OK,” reply Morgan returned my smile.

I'm with Morgan finally having a chat until the afternoon has shown at 17:00. I've been talking to Morgan for an hour and a half. I finally decided to go home because I wasn't cooking for dinner.

“Udah afternoon, I go home first!” I said to Morgan.

“...” Morgan nodded his head a few times then took his car keys to drive me home.

At night Joseph and Hafidzah were sitting at the table facing each other. Joseph looked at Hafidzah with empty eyes.

“Why, A?” hafidzah said to Joseph who was pouring food into the plate.

“Why, A?” hafidzah said again.

“Why, A?” hafidzah said again, holding Joseph's hand. Joseph suddenly awoke from his daydream.

“Iya why, Ca?” yusuf.

Hafidzah who heard Joseph wrongly mention his name immediately kept silent without a word.

“Eh Dza, I mean!” morgan said shocked because he slipped.

“Hikz... Hikz.. Hikz... Astagfirullahaladzim...” said Hafidzah in tears.

The next day, at a pesantren largest in Bandung. Morgan looked seriously at the great scholar who would guide Morgan to read the shahadah. There are already several witnesses who will see Morgan converted to Islam. I smiled happily seeing Morgan's seriousness to date.

Shahadah Reading:

أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إلَهَ إلَّا اللَّهُ

Asyhadu al - laa ilaaha illa - Glah

“I testify that there is no god but Allah” said mr. ustadz and followed by Morgan

وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ

way Asyhadu anna muhammadar rosuulullah

“And (i testify) that Prophet Muhammad is the messenger of Allah” said pak ustadz and followed by Morgan again.

“Alhamdulillah, now you have converted to Islam may Istiqomah!” said mr. ustadz.

“Thanks, Mr Uastadz!” morgan said to ustadz.

“After becoming a Muslim, the person should take a bath as a form of purification/cleansing. It is a symbol that symbolizes cleansing from past sins. As we know a convert has a clean record, such as a new birth from the womb of the mother, and then as much as possible keep this record clean and always try to do good deeds. Just as the Prophet ordered the bath of Tsumamah bin Utsal and Qis bin ‘Ashim when converted to Islam.” Say it again while rubbing Morgan's shoulder.

“Siap Ustadz!”

“And it is obligatory for people who have just converted to Islam to pray five times and do other obligations. Like reading the Quran, carrying out all religious orders and keeping away religious prohibitions, and all things worship according to Islam.”

“then with whom should I learn to pray?” ask Morgan worried.

“Let me teach and mentor Morgan, Mr. ustadz!” my spoken.

Morgan smiled thinly signifying satisfaction in his heart and felt plong because now Morgan has become mu’alaf.

After I got out of the cabin. I walked side by side with Morgan, I smiled to see him because now Morgan has faith in my religion.

Exactly at 19:00. Joseph sat pensively in the sopa of the family room. He looked at the photo of his wedding to Hafidzah but his gaze was blank.

Joseph's heart still loves me and loves me. But I no longer love Joseph.

Soon Joseph saw Hafidzah walking into the kitchen. However, Hafidzah did not greet him because he was still disappointed with Joseph yesterday.
