Sleeping on the Laps

The emperor returned to Nara's house with a flowery heart, a smile that could not be separated from the young man's lips. The Emperor walked by playing the car keys in his hand, until the sound of shouting stopped the Emperor's steps for a moment.

"Nara?!" The Emperor ran towards Nara's room after realizing the screaming voice belonged to Nara.

The emperor opened the door quite hard and found Anika trying to calm the hysterical Nara, remembering her parents.

Anika turned to the Emperor and said, "Don't help Nara."

The emperor nodded then walked over to Nara and sat down beside her, "Calm down, you're not alone."

Nara hugged the Emperor and cried in her arms, "I beg you not to go, I'm afraid."

The Emperor's hand hung in the air he hesitated to return Nara's embrace considering she had to look after Adel who was now his lover.

In the end the Emperor just gently rubbed Nara's hair and said, "Don't be afraid that everyone who loves you is here."

On the other hand Anika cried in silence watching the situation in front of her, feeling sorry for Nara who had to lose both parents at a young age.

The Emperor let Nara cry until it calmed down enough for a while.

"Kai, can I sleep on your lap?" Asked Nara who was calmer than before.

The Emperor looked towards Anika for an opinion, until at last Anika replied with a nod of her head.

"I-yes I can." The Emperor answered doubtfully.

Nara immediately slept on the Emperor's lap while telling him, "When mama was still there and if I couldn't sleep like this. Mama must have told me to sleep on her lap while gently rubbing my head until I fell asleep on her lap.

"But now it's not possible to happen again, somehow my life is ahead." Nara continued by occasionally wiping her tears that were still falling.

The emperor just silently listened without doing anything, even his hands were still in place. The young man only let Nara sleep on his lap.

Nara got up from her sleep and said to Anika, "Thank you Auntie, sorry Nara has troubled you guys. In the future Nara will try even better." Nara's voice shook with the cry.

"Don't push yourself too hard, just slow down. We'll definitely help you." Anika replied, who then turned to the Emperor and said, "Are you son?"

"Ah i-iya ma sure." The Emperor replied with an awkward smile.

"Well, Nara, sleep now is late and you must also rest." Said the Emperor who then stood up so that Nara could sleep in her bed and followed by the same by Anika.

Nara grabbed the Emperor's hand and said, "Don't go."

"No, I'm not going. I'll be here." The Emperor replied, "Now sleep." Continue the young man.

Nara obeyed the Emperor's order to sleep even though it took quite a long time to really sleep well.

The Emperor let out a long sigh after making sure Nara was asleep in her sleep, "Are we here ma?" The Emperor asked Anika.

"Yes son, it's also a pity to leave Nara alone in such a state. His relatives went straight back to their respective cities."

The emperor nodded slowly then said, "Then mama also rest. Mama must be tired today."

"Yes my mom will sleep in the guest room. You also rest, there's another empty room." Answer Anika.

"No ma, Kai will sleep on the front sofa, so that if there is anything Kai can be horrified and immediately help Nara."

Anika nodded and smiled, "Then mama help prepare the blanket as well as the pillow." After saying so, Anika went to prepare a blanket and pillow as previously said.

The Emperor looked at Nara once more before finally catching up with Anika coming out of the girl's room.
