Kevin takes Alice to a shopping mall.
"Hurie....!!" Alice cheered happily.
Marry just smiled wryly at the joy of his daughter. While Kevin, who was initially very happy to see the excitement shown by Alice, now became unpleasant to see the look on Marry's face.
"I'm sorry, I just wanted to have fun, as a thank you." Kevin smiled, as he walked up to Alice and held the little girl beside him.
"thank you? Thanks for what? Is it because of my daughter's hard work, it can generate huge profits for her company! Huhhhhh... What do I do now?" Marry said in his heart.
He could only sigh, and followed Kevin and his daughter who were walking hand in hand in front of him.
Kevin walked into the men's clothing booth, and looked at it in confusion.
"Can you help me?" Kevin asked, awakening the dreamy Marry.
"Oh, yeah, help? Help what?" Marry looked at Kevin in confusion.
"Pick a gift for my Papa." Sahut Kevin by putting on a clear face.
Marry glared, and was silent for a moment.
"Master Mars, must have had a lot of shirts and suits, and from a famous boutique of course. Why not just give a tie or belt. Even though it's small, it's important for appearance." Marry answered with a flat face.
"Aah! Good idea." Kevin Sahut.
"But, it's cheap, Mr. Mars..."
"No, no.. My father never judged the price. He will greatly appreciate every other person's gift." Sela Kevin, convince Marry.
Kevin rushes at the corner of the tie, Marry follows. They choose several ties for gifts and belts with premium quality of course.
Alice smiled at the familiarity that was unfolding between Kevin and his mother. Although, he knew, it was just his dream, who already wished that Kevin was his Papa.
While carrying groceries, they enter a women's clothing store, Kevin wants to find a gift for his mother.
"My mom, it's kind of unique. He doesn't like wearing branded bags. She prefers accessories that are traditional and ethnic." Kevin muttered while looking at Marry.
"Why not give a gift of towels, watches, or objects that can be used in pairs." Marry Sahut.
Kevin was silent for a moment, then looked at Marry with a smile.
"Brilliant! I like your idea." Kevin smiled broadly, then turned to Alice.
"It turns out your mama's very smart to give advice. I don't have to rack my brains to find a reward." Kevin said as he rubbed Alice's chin.
"My mom is the best!" Alice said innocently while smiling widely.
Kevin smiled, while glancing at Marry, who only smiled faintly.
His heart rippled as he looked at Marry's face. Somehow he started to feel comfortable around Alice, and now Marry.
Although, it was the first smile she had just seen from Marry's face during their meeting.
They passed the clothes of women's clothes, Marry accidentally stared at a dress on display. Elegant fancy party dress, black color.
Marry stood for a moment staring at the party dress, as Kevin and Alice chose a hairpin for Alice.
Marry looked at the price tag, and could only swallow his saliva.
"My salary worked on the event for a year, not enough to buy this dress. Crazy, it's expensive!" Marry's mind while away from the dress.
At that time, Kevin had seen Marry staring at the party dress. Then, help Alice put her hairpin on.
Marry had been beside Alice, tidying up the flops worn by Kevin.
Kevin finally chooses a towel and a pair of watches for Papa Mama's wedding anniversary.
Then after that, they went to the children's clothing store, and chose some dresses, t-shirts, and pants.
Every item that Alice likes and there is a size, immediately Kevin grab and stack.
Kevin brings all of Alice's options to the cashier. Marry rushed after him.
"Wait!" Marry held Kevin's hand holding him back so as not to go to the cashier first.
"What's wrong?" Ask Kevin in wonder.
"It's all?" Marry pointed to Alice's pile of clothes.
"Yes, I'll take it to the cashier."
"Kevin, but this is too much for Alice. It's expensive, anyway." Marry.
"alright. You're mother. You better understand what Alice needs." Kevin relented, and placed the pile of clothes Alice had picked on the table near the cashier.
Mary and Alice discuss choosing which clothes she really needs or not. Marry sorted out the clothes, and measured them on Alice's body.
Kevin looked at Marry, his pretty face, probably about 25 years old, Kevin guessed.
Why isn't he looking for Alice's real father? Or not in a relationship with another man all this time? Or was he too confused to determine which man had impregnated him? Or is he a rape victim?
Kevin recalled, that Marry has no male lovers and close friends at this time. Several times dating, it was also because it was introduced by Aunt Sophie, or friends of her mother's friends. However, they never continued after that. Maybe Marry was traumatized by a serious relationship.
Marry thinks he's about 25 at the moment. She was very young when she had children. Surely he had a difficult time during this time, and can pass well.
Alice resuscitates Kevin from his daydream, and brings the clothes that Marry has sorted back.
"Have you?" Ask Kevin.
Alice nodded.
Kevin helped bring Alice's clothes to the cashier and paid for them.
"Thank you, Papa Kevin!" Alice hugged Kevin as she hugged him. Along with carrying his shopping.
"same. And you can still call me papa." Kevin's voice is soft.
Marry simply stared at the two expressionlessly. Marry helps carry Alice's grocery bag and walks behind Kevin and Alice.
"Can I have ice cream?" Ask Alice to Kevin.
"Alice!" Sela Marry while shaking her head.
"But I'm thirsty, Ma. I want ice cream." Alice said whining.
"Ah, it's okay, I'm also thirsty for ice cream." Luke Kevin.
Kevin and Alice walk towards the ice cream stand.
Alice cheered happily, and they ordered ice cream.
They enjoy ice cream on the food court bench.
Kevin and Alice were joking, while Marry was just looking at them, while playing his phone.
Marry patted Kevin on the arm, wiping off the remaining ice cream at the corner of his lips in a fit of anxiety. Then treat the same thing to Alice.
Alice laughed at this.
Kevin just smiled. Her heart actually skipped a beat as Marry wiped the rest of the ice cream on her lips.
After shopping, they walked out of the shopping center.
Kevin and Alice walked down the sidewalk laughing and joking. Marry just followed them while carrying Alice's groceries.
"Sorry, Mr Mars, where are you going?" Marry asked to arrive.
"Oh, yeah. Hmm. I want to, yeah. I'm going home too, back to my apartment." Kevin stammered.
"We've arrived, Papa." Said Alice.
"Yes?"
"There's where we live, on the 3rd floor." Alice whispered to Kevin.
Kevin nodded in understanding.
"When can I take Papa to eat together?" Ask Alice.
Kevin and Marry were equally surprised.
"Master Mars is a very busy man." Mary looked down at Alice.
"Ma, in one Sunday there are seven days, and in that day there are twenty-four hours. Cook, Papa keep working. Like today, he can come, and we walk the road like this." Deny Alice while giving reasons.
"But we can't force people to follow us." Marry Sahut.
Again, Kevin was anxious when he saw Marry arguing with Alice.
"Or, when can we have dinner at my place?" Sela Kevin smiled.
Marry turned to Kevin while raising his eyeballs. In contrast to the response given by Alice, who cheered and hugged Kevin.
"Yes, I want to." Answer with a cheerful laugh.
Then they split up at the place, Marry and Alice entered the ordinary-looking apartment. Unlike the apartment Kevin lived in all this time.
"Papa's Bye!" Alice shouted as she waved her hand, while turning her head and still looking at Kevin in the same place.
Kevin returned Alice's hand.
He looked at Mary and Alice and disappeared into the building, then left.
